I’ve tried

I’ve tried giving evidence for God.
I’ve tried telling you the benefits of God.
I’ve tried telling you the horrors of Hell.
I’ve tried kindness.
I’ve tried condemning you.
I’ve tried offering you salvation.
My patience is expired with you all.
I have only one question for you all.
Why do hate God so much, what did He do to you to make you doubt His existence. Everything I know, everything I love, is in a Book you hate with all your hearts. My God is great, He is kind, and He is forgiving. Yet still, you curse Him with every word. Everything He hates, you love. Sex,war, blasphemy, hate, mockery, even death you love! All you do to me is mock me. You never give evidence, you only call yourselves enlightened for your lack of faith. God warns that heathens offer freedom, pleasure, and knowledge, but they are lying. I have offered you eternal life, and you have cursed me. I do not curse you, nor your choices, nor any horrid sin you do. I cry for you. I will weep in the presence of God because of you, and because i could not save of you a single soul. So, my sinful, fallen companions i leave you today with just one question. Why?
May Christ Jesus, The One True God, have mercy on you my friends.

You know what Christian? Fuck you! I hate people like you. I hate those who preach what they believe in as absolute truth. I bet you’re buddies with the Phelps family. You saying that you worship the bible as absolute truth is no different than those who say the writings of L. Ron Hubbard or Jules Verne are absolute fact. I don’t want to worship a god who hates pleasure and freedom. But you’re god doesn’t just hate pleasure and freedom, he also hates those who WANT pleasure and freedom. You have to accept that there is nothing when you die, so you need t have as much pleasure and freedom NOW when you have the chance. Please go take your head out of you’re ass, wake up, and see the world for what it really is.

    “63 – November 11th, 2008 at – Paul Says:

seriously, i’m tired of “christians” talking down to readers. as a fellow christian, i don’t think that kind of tone works with real people with real problems. any such attempt will only be met with disbelief and mocking. because of you and people like you, “the lost” are learning to reject the truth instead of accepting it.”

I hope this wasn’t some kind of poorly disguised attempt at reverse psychology? No kind of tone, even an indirect manner, will cause us such a cognitive distortion as to require a “truth” because we feel “lost”. More bs(bible-speak). Don’t ever call us lost.

I can’t hate what doesn’t exist. I do not hate God. I don’t hate anyone. I do feel sorry for the billions and billions of people duped and indoctrinated, as I once was, into believing any religion. Christian, pretend the world was populated by zombies, and you were one of the last humans. You wouldn’t hate the zombies; that’d be a waste of time. You’d just want them not to bite you. That’s kind of how it feels to be an atheist. Read a book that isn’t the bible. Brush up on your science. Evolution completely destroys the notion of any god, by the way, and if you doubt evolution it just shows you’ve never actually researched it or took the time to learn about it, because you knew it would shatter your illusions about god.

Well, I’ve looked at your evidence.
There are prophesies from John, Mark and Matthew who all wrote after the birth of jesus. It’s easy to predict the past but doesn’t count as prophesy.

“So God is destroying evil, so what.

    HOSEA
9:12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them”

Good old god, killing the ‘evil’ children.

“This world is completely corrupt, and whenever God sends people to help people turn from their wicked ways, the people mock them and turn them away(go back a few books to all the times God sent people over to Ephraim and Tyrus and Gilgal). And then, when God finally gets fed up and does something about it, people get mad.”

‘Wicked ways’ is not following god right? ‘God finally gets fed up’, so he murders their children. ‘People get mad’ – and yet he’s been so reasonable with them, I mean he did send people ‘to help protect them’.

“Thats just like if you were a child and your Dad said if you didn’t stop misbehaving you’d get a spanking, and then you keep on till he does, the yell “ITS NOT FAIR!!!” at the top of your lungs.”
Very true. Of course, some fathers rape their children and tell them misbehaving is telling anyone else. Context is everything.

“God is allowed to destroy evil.”
In your quote, God kills children. If you are trying to justify killing kids as ‘destroying evil’, then you are trying to justify god committing evil.

Hi, Christian. I’d like to reference post 124, the one where you talk about Yahweh destroying evil. Have you read 2 Chronicles 15:9-15? Yahweh grants peace and prosperity to a king because he executes anyone who won’t follow the Mosaic law, men, women, and children alike. Imagine, if you will, that the United States was founded on Christian principles. Now, imagine that the unbeliever-killing king from 2 Chronicles rules over the United States and undertakes the executive action found in 2 Chronicles 15: all American citizens who will not convert to belief in Yahweh will be summarily killed. I should not need to point out the gross injustice here. Is this king destroying evil in Yahweh’s name, or is he just getting rid of anyone who doesn’t agree with him (and thereby tossing them straight into Hell)? You said that your god has the right to destroy evil. Does that make everyone who doesn’t believe in Yahweh evil? If mass slaughters in the name of Yahweh are the destruction of evil, like you say they are, 2 Chronicles 15:9-15 says yes, all nonbelievers are evil. In this passage, Yahweh is using the same “convert-or-die” tactic that radical Muslims favor and that the Antichrist will supposedly resort to. Doesn’t Yahweh want us to seek him out of love, not because someone is threatening our lives? Through the actions of that king, Yahweh was essentially saying, “Come unto your Heavenly Father, my dear little children, or I shall have this axe driven between your precious little cervical vertebrae and bless the man who ordered it.” In this case, I believe I have every right to yell “IT’S NOT FAIR!!!” at the top of my lungs. Yahweh in 2 Chronicles 15 wasn’t like a loving father spanking his children; he was more like a torturer trying to get a confession out of his victim. I can think of many, many more Biblical examples of Yahweh “destroying evil” in this manner, each of them just as despicable.

I think all you Noodly Appendage deniers need to go back to the hills, keep trying to marry your sisters and leave the running of the world (including thinking which is an ability you’re obviously devoid of) to us. Alternatively, what I think we need to do is teach about the whole spectrum of possible creators. Let’s start with the way Allah created the world shall we Christian?!

    Christian:

In your post 125 you say “This world is completely corrupt…” and a few sentences later you say “Have you never seen how wonderful the world is? Oh if only i could help you.”.

So, the world sucks, therefore ONE EPIC FAIL FOR GOD, but it’s so wonderful, that it’s evidence of an all migthy, cool deity? Weird…

Oh, and the last sentence… well, this is one of the most illogical things I see in all religions: The god(s) of any religion do not show them selves to the people that MUST worship them (or be met with some gruesome fate after death, or oblivion), and they are all powerful (or atleast extremely powerful), but they don’t have the power or will or desire to get the people to believe in them.

Heck, your god could very easily turn me (or any other nonbeliever) if he wanted to, and, was as you say, all powerful. Why not just rearange the stars on the sky, so they would say “Hey guys, I’m here, the church which interpreted me correctly is …” or something that simply offers NO alternative explanation. Instead he provides this one guy to come here and talk about him. 2000 years ago. And he expects people to follow some very easily made up crap 2000 years later.

And, it gets better: Instead of doing an impressive thing each, say 100 years, he leaves behind only a bunch of people in robes who only argue amongst themselves and interpret a book in a bazilion ways (today, there’s over 38000 denominations of Christianity). Sorry, but that’s not at all impressive or anything, nor does it lead me to a conclusion that there is a God, and if there is one he apparently doesn’t give a sh*t about what’s happening down here.

Please reply, I’m interested in your response.

Hey Christian, what’s the problem? Why are you so angry? Frankly, so what if no one here believes in Jesus? It doesn’t impact your life, so mind your business, and I’ll mind mine. Do you really think that nagging gets your point across? The purpose of religion is not to have verifiable evidence, it’s to give you a guide for your life. Just a little comfort and support in this vast and cold universe. So if I choose to believe that that comfort comes from a carb-heavy food product, and you choose to believe it came from a nice Jewish boy, then what’s the problem?

If you have enough faith in your own religion, then there would be no need to try to force everyone to agree with you. Since that seems to be your modus operendi, then I would suggest you examine your own faith before pointing fingers at a few people just trying to have a good time.

I happen to be a religious person, and I think the FSM is hilarious. I’m not bothered that most of these people would never agree with me; that’s their choice. Back off, go to your church, and learn the true meaning of “love”.

  15. 165 - Wurzel - Nov 17th, 2008

    @ Christian

Wurzel here-A quick question here… can you name this person?

He was worshipped by slaves originally, he was born of a virgin and was the son of God. His birthdate was 25th December. During his life he cured bindness, leprosy and brought someone back from the dead. When he was eventually crucified at age 33, he rose from the dead 3 days later and then ascended into heaven to be with his father (God).

Do you know who it is yet?

Go on this should be easy…

    Jesus Christ you say?

    Nope, actually Mithras.

Just goes to show the level of originality used by writers of the Bible – alot of it is nicked from other religions around at the time, including Pagans. So this is the WORD of God? This is to be trusted? This is to be believed over evidence and all other religions? Why exactly?

At least our God is a bit more origainal, kudos to his noodliness!!

    Dear everyone,
I have decided through your logic that the following things do not exist because i have never seen them personally and even thou i see the effects of these things i do not believe in them because i haven’t seen them firsthand. Wind, data,Paris, yesterday(it could have all been in my head, who can tell),tomorrow, the sun(when i at the ground its not there! surely its a figment of my imagination),Tokyo,Osama bin laden,Oprah,Genghis Khan,Caesar,Alexander the great,Chuck Norris,Hollywood,China, etc etc.

See the problem in your logic? I make you a super skeptic unable to KNOW anything, but only able to THINK something. Anything you can’t see, hear, smell etc, right now isn’t real on your logic. I however KNOW God exists, I’d doubt my own existence before His. Is it that hard to grasp your head around the concept of God? Do you honestly think that were the most powerful beings on earth. God is all powerful, and He’s losing patience with this world. Not that you’ll believe me of course. You’ll just ignore me and call me crazy until its too late. Like always.
God sends a good person to help bad people, bad people mock/kill the good person, God destroys evil people, remaining evil people get mad and completely lose the chance for salvation. Never fails. Occasionally, a few evil people become good and find salvation but not often. I’ve tried everything. I’ll try it all again. And you won’t listen. But i HAVE to try. Its my job. All hail God, who rules in the mist of His enemies. Amen

I posted a reply to this also on the infamous “servant of Christ” post.

Christian, seriously man, either give up or get a sense of humor. Do you honestly, truly, 100% without a doubt BELIEVE that we will all die as sinners who believed that the world was created by a flying…SPAGHETTI monster?? If you do, i am truly sorry. But man cut it out. You’re making a lot of people angry and disgusted, and hopefully that’s not what you want to do.

Let people believe what they want. Stop shoving your religion into other people’s noses. Don’t forget that’s how most wars were started Christian. God told his followers to go to war for him, to die for Him, do you not recall ever learning that?

You want proof, in my post on your other comment (which i am too tired to rewrite on here) i gave you proof that your God actually says it’s okay to have slaves, both as servants and carnal slaves. We are the one’s who love sex? Exodus 21:7 and Leviticus 25:44. Let me refresh your reading of the Holy Bible.

    “I’ve tried condemning you.
Everything He hates, you love.”

Man, Obviously if both condemning AND salvation don’t work, we’re screwed huh? That book you mentioned Christian, i mentioned too. But i bet you didn’t know half that i can tell you is in THAT book. Please don’t say we curse him for every word, and everything he hates we love, do not lie like that. do not become the blasphemers you make us out to be. Also, i thought he was everyone’s God, not just YOUR God.

I will give you proof, i will give you what you want. I am not a heathen, and if you want to call me one go ahead. Like you said, God knows who is the sinner. Is it me, who is defending a position, or you, who is attacking that position with all the power and anger and spite he has?

Your patience is expired. Quit badgering, and live your life the way you want, while we live life the way we want, like God proclaims, before you make this fire any more dangerous.

Randomly to say, #88 catfish, your comment made my day. thanks

    Re: Post 125

    Dear Christian:

I don’t like your religion because your religion makes no sense. It has nothing to do with you. You Christians always make it about you, as I’ve said before. YOU get mocked. YOU wish to save the world. YOU want us not to go to hell. Well, Christian, I have something to tell YOU.

I mock you because I can. It’s called freedom of speech. I don’t believe in God. It’s called freedom of religion. I have rights that you can’t take away. What bugs you is that thinking people will not transform into non-thinking person conforming to a lie to gain acceptance into a place that doesn’t exist when said people die. I’m so sick of hearing about conforming from religions. In Christianity it’s love Christ or die in hell. In Islam it’s obligations you have to bear hijab for Allah. Next thing you know, someone is going to be passing about the kool aid and cyanide so you can rise to heaven. Or worse yet they will kill themselves to ride a comet to the afterlife.

I’m so sick of people like you, but I manage to tolerate you because of your right to freedom of religion. I give you that and now you want to take a yard. I find this annoying and rude.

I wonder how special a religion has to be to solicited like you Christians sell it. And you are selling it. The tithes prove it.

I’m not buying it because it doesn’t come with a warranty or guarantees. The only thing I would have to look forward to is being controlled by yet another holy tome that points out how evil I am.

If not doing that makes me evil, then I’m good with that. But I will never compromise my ability to think and be rational for a religion that requires me to be an unthinking, conforming, waste of flesh.

Thank you for your post. No thank you for your religion.

    Have a good day.

I love this website because I can come here whenever I want to see how stupid the majority of the world’s population is. (The majority of the world’s population believes in some deity other than FSM)
I hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but we spend hours proving to these x-tians that there is no empirical proof of any gods existence (other than FSM of course)and it is becoming fairly clear to me that we are wasting our time. It is like talking to someone who is viewing a warped reality… no matter how many times you tell them the sky is not purple, and the sun is not shooting laser beams through them, they just won’t listen to common sense. (Damn, those laser beams will tear you up…)
I wonder if there is another way to deal with these idiots? (No offense to the idiots in the crowd) Does anyone have any suggestions? I think if we just wrap them all in marinara soaked pasta until they see the light we may be farther ahead than trying to use logic…

If you mean the words you say, then I all i can say is “thank you” for your consideration, and not to worry about us. I can only speak for myself, but I think many would agree in saying: I don’t hate you,and I don’t hate your religion. I have honestly and open-mindedly tried to understand your beliefs, having been raised Christian, and studying Christian theology(as well as other religions) and ethics in college. The fact that I simply cannot reconcile my personal beliefs with yours is not a personal attack, in fact it’s not any kind of attack. As a pastafarian, and as a teacher I believe in justice and morality as a part of a world that I want to live in, I believe in respecting the dignity of every human being, and having the courage to stand up for your beliefs. While we may disagree on what we think is right, it doesn’t mean I don’t respect your right to disagree. You can try to tell others how to live their lives all you want, but in the end it is their choice.

Hey Christian, thanks for your reasonably restrained letter.

Go back to your posts, and really think about them, and you’ll see why fundamentalist beliefs such as yours are not only wrong but sometimes even evil in themselves. The sheer strength of your belief has led you to believe that it is not only morally acceptable, but a good thing to kill a huge number of babies and unborn children because they are all somehow “evil”.

How can an unborn baby be evil? Given your beliefs, I would imagine that you’re against abortion, and yet you still commend this far, far more horrific act.

You see, I saw the long list of things that according to you, I shouldn’t believe in. Very cute, as always.
The problem, though, is your failure to follow your own line of reasoning to its conclusion. If you chastise us for not believing what we haven’t personally seen, then on what basis do you so categorically deny the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? If you haven’t seen His Noodliness, does it mean that His Noodliness doesn’t exist?
Here I am talking about the FSM as a concept. Is it so hard to grasp your head around the concept of the FSM? (I’m sorry for intruding on your conversation, but I just ran across this webpage and decided to take the chance to tell some Christians how life really goes.)

God and Christianity are an illusion, created by people so they have a false sense of security. People are weak and they know it – so they want to rely on some higher authority to always be there for them. Hence, God was made up. Someone to help you through all your problems, someone to blame if everything goes wrong and most importantly of all a way for people to GAIN MONEY.

Christians are stupid. They honestly believe that the Pope and the Church officials believe in “God” and all that crap. News flash, people, but belief is a way for someone to make a hell of a lot of money. And that’s what it does, and pretty effectively as well.

And yes, I find the prospect of FSM much more likely then “JESUS SAVIOR OF ALL”.

    167,
Damn; you are so right! All those things you spoke of don’t exist because you haven’t seen them, ergo, we are right in the assumption that there is no God. Brilliant!

Yor really are a dunderhead, aren’t you? I’m so glad that you waste the moments alloted you to posting here, as opposed to teaching children and others that mindless drivel. You are doing so much to further the cause by not getting education! I truely hope that someday you’ll get a more well-rounded view of the world. I doubt it, but hope sometimes is the only fuel one has.

I’m going to stop chiding you because it’s a useless affair, no shaking your convictions. I will leave you with this:

Darwin was right; there are some organisms that are over specialized. They have been in the same niche for so long that when the world and enviroment change, they can’t adapt, and they die off. Christianity has been around for a long time and its people have become ossified in their rationale; too many like you, Christian. What do you think is the future of your old tyme religion?

    I’ve tried showing you evidence.
I’ve tried showing you his love.
I’ve tried showing you the horrors of his thunderbolts.
What is wrong with you? Why do you hate Zeus so much that you doubt him?

    [Sex,war,blasphemy,hate,mockery, even death you love!]
    1. Sex is natural. Nothing evil about it. If it wasn’t for two people having sex, you wouldn’t be here.
2.Many christians support war, and the bible is full of war.
    3. I see more hate filled christians than atheists. Just look at prop 8.
    4. You like to mock other religions all the time.
    5. Hey, your the ones that can’t wait to die so you can go meet your giant sky farie.

    @devo, post 179:
“It’s Jesus Christ, not Christ Jesus and he is not the one true god as he has no noodly appendages.”
Every man and woman has noodly apendages – hands, feet, fingers. Although not as perfect as the FSMs, they DO resemble them. Just another piece of evidence that the FSM was a bit drunk while creating us. Oh, and men have one extra noodly apendage.

    Dear Christian,
First off, you annoy me. And I would probably annoy you. But that’s fine, because we are allowed to annoy each other. I would annoy you because I turned away from the lord for personal reasons, and you annoy me because you deny any possibility other than your own.
However, neither of us can prove CONCLUSIVELY whether there is or isn’t a God, and furthermore whether it is Jehovah, Allah, Buddha, Karma, Zeus, Chuck Norris or Mr T.
You may be able to prove to your or my satisfaction that there is in fact a God, but even if you do, since you have done that there are now infinite things which this omnipotent being could have done. He could’ve created the world in seven days, yes. He could’ve raised his son from the dead, and sent prophets to his chosen people to set them on track.
Your next argument would be to prove that this newly proven God is in fact the Judeo-Christian God, for which you would of course use as your main reference the Bible. And i believe that a person such as yourself could probably put up a sound case about the prophecies in the bible that came true, the historical evidence to support those claims, et cetera.
However, there are still infinite possibilities:
What if another God posed as Yahweh for some reason humans cannot understand?
This would be dismissed as ludicrous, because no God would do that for any reason – would they?
But, of course, they could, and they could justify their reasons, being the most powerful being ever.

Furthermore, Using the bible as a reference will only get you so far. As I said, the evidence within the book would be convincing, but what about the Q’aran? the Torah? Ancient Meso-American sacred texts? All of these have prophecies which have come true, historical evidence to support them, and many of the miracles you would find in the bible. These different religions have as much right to the truth as Christendom. Their books, stories, histories prove as much as the Bible does, and you cannot say that “the bible has more proof because it was certified by God” – ultimately because the Q’aran was certified by Allah, the Torah by Yahweh and so on. And the only thing that proves that the hypothetical god is “God” is the bible.
    Jesus rose from the dead?
so did most ancient ‘heathen’ gods – Osiris in Egypt, the Hero Twins of the Maya, the moon in Pagan sects, local Gods in Asian religions.
Noah escaped the Flood with God’s blessing?
Almost every culture on Earth has had at one point a flood story – and all of these cultures triumphed. In Mexico it was believed that the first world was destroyed by the gods in a great flood, and two people survived to repopulate the Earth.
    Prophecies?
EVERYONE EVER has made predictions, prophecies, guesses, drug-induced hunches, and many more things, and all the ones that came true or sounded logical were published in their various forms. Mohammed even made it to Heaven. 9 times (beats Jesus by 7)
Original sin, and subsequent expulsion from Paradise?
Historians now believe that these stories (plural – in plenty of other religions too) may be metaphors, glorifications, or misinterpretations of Early man. Men used to inhabit the area around the Tirgis and Euphrates, and the other two mentioned in the bible which don’t exist any more, and that area, “the fertile crescent”, used to be bountiful beyond belief. Natural disaster, drought, or some other related thing, induced man’s struggle and exodus from the area.
    Satan?
Read ‘Paradise Lost’ by John Milton. It’s a really good 1600’s interpretation of teh fall of Satan and the fall of man. It (which is as good a source as any, given that god never sat down to write his memoirs)recounts that Satan was once second only to God, in religious Zeal, honesty, and power, but never once craved what God had until God brought to life Jesus, whom he made equal to himself. Satan despised this perceived betrayal of his trust and concluded not to overthrow God, but to start his own country where Angels could be free to do as they wish. God attacked the army of Satan, subjecting his own army to much suffering, before finally sending his Son out to the field, so as to ‘Cover himself in Glory’. But seriously, whatever you think of my arguments, it’s a great book – read it.

Finally, you say you have read the bible? THis, i do not doubt, but If I picked one book off my shelf, read it and only it, and declared it the best in the world, not many would believe me. Therefore, I shall continue to look into the Bible, Q’aran, ancient Mythologies, seeking wisdom, enlightenment, ethical debate, and I would advise you to do so as well, before passing off your religion as the one and the only true one.
Thank you for your time (If you read this)

Your pseudo-science sucks, Christian, and reflects the limit of your brainpower. We explained seashells on top of mountains to you then you asked us to explain the same argument with old anchors from boats. Cock.

Your references to god-praising fake science sites do not constitute proof. The fact that you believe in a god makes it clear you will never think like a scientist, so don’t pretend you can.

Then you refer to some god in your definitions of that god, it’s like looking up a word in the dictionary and then the definition containing the word you were looking up. Quit badgering, as a previous poster said (a fantastic closing statement), look at the world around you and wonder if a god could be responsible for this? It’s obvious that it’s all about slow, slow progress as a human race, one big, big accident that we’re here in fact, only made probable by the sheer size of the galaxy, and people like you are hindering that progress, and always have done. Even Isaac Newton had to decorate his classic science papers with “God put the planets in motion then left it to its own accord” statements just so the church wouldn’t set him on fire. We’re hundreds and hundreds of years behind on technological progress and the quest for knowledge because of xians like yourself and I resent you for that. I resent that you are even allowed access to computers by us. To me it’s the same blunder as giving facebook to paedophiles in prison, or putting religious people in powerful positions in government.

Hell, you even want to reverse the progress that’s been made. I bet you’ve got your little mobile phone with some free texts on it, you little shit. Do you think you’d have that if the world was run by people like you? You have a brain disorder. It’s a shame it’s only minor and manifests itself in schizotypal symptoms such as magical beliefs and gods, because your life is bound to be bleak and meaningless as a result. Get out of our Church.

    YOU’RE STUCK IN A RUT.

    “#
    5 – November 11th, 2008 at – brian t Says:

“I’ve tried giving evidence for God.”
    - What evidence? Do you know what “evidence” means, or are you confusing it with “testimony”? Hint: people can say anything, or write anything, but saying or writing something does not make it true. That is what testimony is, but real evidence would exist and stand independently of human wishes and concerns. Your religion has plenty of testimony behind it, but no evidence.”

Actually, I would disagree with that. Evidence from human sources is perfectly acceptable evidence. It seems to surprise people but the courts managed to hear cases and reach verdicts based on oral evidence from witnesses long before the various forensic techniques arrived.

Thus evidence can easily include testimony – indeed in a court it is necessary for a witness to adduce an exhibit to explain how it came to be, where it was found etc.

The real problem with evidence for God is that if we assume the Bible to be the witness statements of those who were present at the time, unfortunately, none of it amounts to proof that Jesus was God and all of it is open to interpretation. The same is true of Islam, where no independent witness is able to assist us with evidence that Mohammed was instructed by God.

Further, where forensic evidence does exist it appears to contradict the eye witness accounts. I am thinking particularly of the flood in which Noah set sail with examples of all the animals etc on board. Although there is evidence for wide spread flooding, I have yet to hear that there is any evidence that the entire planet was suddenly submerged leaving no rock above water. Further, I am unaware of any remains having been found that shows the human species suddenly disappearing from the record in a mass extinction.

Christian you sound like you need a hug.

I don’t know whey you bother wasting your time trying to save these heathens. God will sort it all out. He’s like omnipotent and stuff.
In fact, now that I come to think of it, it’s a bit impertinent of you to try and save people when that was Jesus’s job.
Do you think you can win where Jesus failed?
John Lennon was killed for saying less than that.

quite frankly I sometimes think that these posts are given to us as a sorce for amusement. we all just gather around and sling mud at each other. I quite enjoy it personaly. I particularly enjoy attempting to sling mud in as intelligent a fasion as possible. But I must say the difference between some of these posts are like the difference between enraged gorillas high on some form of halusinogen and history nerds building mud catapults. Are some people simply comeing on here and posing as ingnorent people or have some gorillas escaped from the zoo and broken into an internet cafe?

We can’t hate your god that doesn’t exist, but if it did exist, and it created evil as it claims in the bible (Isaiah 45:7, KJV) – “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”) then all of us would hate it.
Unless of course we loved evil. As apparently Christian does.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
