Phew, I’m writing responses to these day in, day out, and they just keep coming! Orthodox religion can be a dangerous thing. Often, it gets perverted and exploited until people just begin to do what they’re told. I’m not saying there isn’t a God, just that lately, it seems like people are missing the point. I mean can baptism and communion really be all it takes to get into heaven? Even Hitler was baptized, so that can’t be it. Maybe baptism and communion and all the other rituals of the world religions are just meant to ‘point the way’ to what really matters, and aren’t what matter in themselves. Most of this hate mail comes from fanatics who just need something to believe like all of us. They’ve found it in the church, which it just as good as anything, but i feel like they’re missing the point, and taking it WAY too far. Christianity isn’t about church and rituals and dogmas, it’s about atonement and love. I think ‘parody religions’ as these are called, are a good thing for ‘legitimate’ religions. They sort of keep them in check, and strip away a lot of the nonsense that can get attached to true faith.
