Hello, I am a Christian, and I would just like to know, is their any proof of FSM? If so can you please show me the proof, or explain it to me over the web please, I am curios to know. I personally believe this is just some silly religion thought up by an over active imaginative mind of someone. Who told others, and the few that believed him were hopeless in life as it was to begin looking for someone to lead them, and show them the way, so they just followed whatever he said. “Hello, I am a Christian, and I would just like to know, is their any proof of FSM?”
Is there any proof of your so called god, Mr. Christian?
In my opinion all religion is is a set of beliefs to keep us occupied, or to cover up the fears of death or the unknown. If I’m going to follow lies and uncertainties, i may as well follow lies and uncertainties that make me smile with delight
“I personally believe this is just some silly religion thought up by an over active imaginative mind of someone. Who told others, and the few that believed him were hopeless in life as it was to begin looking for someone to lead them, and show them the way, so they just followed whatever he said.”
Yes, and the same can be said for almost any religion in existence, but rambling on in my opinions, the creation of a god of any sort is simply a way for the human brain to explain something so vast (such as where we came from, or where we go after death) that it cannot simply comprehend the complexity of it, so instead of admitting its beyond our ability to discover, we say that some divine being did it, eventually someone else walks by with a similar idea, then they start a group of people, then BAM a religion is born. so in more ways than your your precious “Christianity” is no different than these peoples “Pastafanarianism” (great play on words by the way), or a Muslims view on religion, or Buddhism or Judaism or any religion I can bother to explain. The only exception to this is Scientology, it’s based entirely on existing facts or existing paradigms of the scientific world.

Is there any proof for Christianity? (and the bible doesn’t count, I can write a book saying when we die,our corpses sprout butt-cheek wings and fly us to Neptune, that doesn’t really prove anything)

allow me to rewrite your statement with bits and pieces of YOUR religion:
I personally believe this is just some silly religion thought up by an over active imaginative mind of a guy called Jesus. Who told others, and the 12 who believed him were hopeless in life as it was to begin looking for someone to lead them, and show them the way, so they just followed whatever he said( much like Judaism)

I’m just curious.

The purpose of of our religion is precisely that it has no proof. We hope it will cause others to see that their religion also has no proof, and is just as unjustified a belief as ours. To help you see this parallel, what if YOUR argument was against Chi-Rho-(or as non-geeks call it, Christ)ianity rather Pastafarianism?
Hello, I am a Pastafarian , and I would just like to know, is their any proof of God? If so can you please show me the proof, or explain it to me over the web please, I am curios to know. I personally believe xianity is just some silly religion thought up by an over active imaginative mind of someone. Who told others, and the few that believed him were hopeless in life as it was to begin looking for someone to lead them, and show them the way, so they just followed whatever he said. Oh yeah… wow you are right on the money there *rolls eyes*. Sure we all need something to believe in and we Pastafarians far too unintelligible as beings to choose anything other than the completely absurd to follow. I am really truly sorry that our religion is beyond you’re comprehension, and the comprehension of so many others out there. It must be because you are all so very ’sane’ that something as ‘crazy’ as our religion must have been concieved by a crackpot… as opposed to… hmmm let me think, your entirely feasible religion.
Oh and just so you know at the top of the webpage just under the FSM banner there are a few links one of which is evidence if you need proof to believe then look no further.
May you be touched by His Noodly Appendage and converted.

You are missing the point. Presence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is as provable (or questionable) as the presence of any other God. So, why not have fun with the idea of a supreme being (or just make fun of it)? I would say it is better than killing others in the supreme being’s name for the last 2000 years. (This is of course for the case of Christianity, the timescale is different for other religions.)

Can you give us any proof of your God? And, no, the Bible doesn’t count. I own a Bible, have read some of it, and it hasn’t really convinced me of much.

Fixed that for you. (And I’m actually serious. If I remember correctly, that second sentence really *was* how xtianity got started.)

Wow, I’m the first to reply.
Well, trying to be as sensible as possible here, Jesus answered lots of questions with other questions, in the Bible.
So my question is, like many Pastafarians, is there any proof that Jesus Christ existed? I mean, sure the people who taught you about it say there’s proof, but have you ever actually looked up or found any solid proof?
Yes, there is a bible sure, but we have a Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which is far more recent, and like an encyclopedia, surely that means it’s more correct.
The great thing about religions is that anything to do with them can be considered entirely true until somebody disproves it, rather than proving it first.
But hey, I have no problem with Christianity, but I don’t think there’s much proof there either. But come on, stripper factories and beer volcanoes? If you read about our religion you will see it is far more positive, and pasta tastes better than Eucharist, you can’t disagree.

The proof is that all of science tells us otherwise; this proves that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is, in fact, always there tinkering with our results. Where’s your proof for your religion?

Seriously, belief in that which is illogical is not the pastafarian way. We’re a peace-loving, skeptical religion. We have far better evidence that piracy decline causes global warming than anybody has that Heaven or Hell exist. And besides, this is religion. The burden of disproof is on you. RAmen.

A great mind once said “yes”. I believe he was referring to the fact that a solution to a problem can be simple, concise and wrong, or it can be silly, improbable, and accurate. As the FSM is considered too improbable and/or silly for you to believe, I must conclude that it’s the only viable solution.

There is exactly as much proof of our Flying Spaghetti Monster as there is of your Jesus. It is as much a real religion as your Christianity, and has just as much basis in reason.

Just substitute the word ‘Pastafarian’ for ‘Christian’ and ‘Jesus’ for ‘FSM’ and the comments apply equally well.
We both serve invisible, unprovable gods and both are edible, but ours is much tastier. We have imagination and humour and we can generally write decent English, gifts not widely granted to Christians.

My fellow Pastafarians! Many of you have insulted Divooneh based on his/her name.
#83 States “The things these xtains name their children…..”
#97 States “Divooneh – may I call you “Div” ? or “Divvy”” (UK terms for a simpleton)
#122 States ““Divooneh” must mean “comedian” in some other language…”
Do we attack people based on their nationality?
Do we insult people for not having Anglo Saxon Names?
Do we insult in ignorance of a name’s true meaning?
Do we need to attack people personally when their arguments are so open to ridicule?
Do we need to flame the flamers and troll the trolls*?
I say no! We are Pastafarians and must rise above this!
A simple search of google will show you Divooneh is Persian (Farsi) and in this case most likely a nickname (not a given name or meaning ‘comedian’). Roughly translated it means weird or crazy and let’s treat them as such.

Noodlety is proportional to divinity and general awesomness. Feeding 3000 with bread ‘n fish is quite a nice trick; but the FSM could have done it with mac ‘n cheese

hey. to all of you, just so you know, I’m a Christian and I think it’s logical. You all might make fun of me and think I’m an idiot for believing in God, but whateverr. I do have foundations for my beliefs. I’m not just thinking God’s there because I’m stupid.
I believe God exists because we have a conscience. Every one on this Earth knows the difference between right and wrong. It’s like a universal code– strange, if you think about it– why do we all have the same ideas about morality? If you don’t believe in God you believe in Darwinism (period). So if you don’t believe in God, you are attempting to explain human conscience and conscious thought from a natural selection/macroevolution standpoint, which is hard to do. Also, if you look in nature, all animals act on instinct. Humans are the only beings on this Earth which have the ability to make a conscious decision. Natural selection can’t explain that either.
Then there’s the beginning of the universe. Either it always existed, or it was set into motion by an event of some sort. Cosmologists have studied the universe and it’s been shown that the universe contracts and expands (it is currently expanding). And therefore, it’s very likely the universe had a beginning! Therefore, something outside the universe must have started it (it’s logical, cause and effect. No event ever has no preceding cause). And what is a logical possible conclusion? A higher power brought the universe into being, i.e., some sort of God.
I know a lot of you say organized religion sucks. And I agree with that in a lot of ways. But it’s not God’s fault that greedy, evil people proclaim in “His name” and go around killing people and stealing their money, is it? The reason for this is that all humanity is still feeling the effects of original sin and walking away from God and doing evil things. But God has to let us make choices. He isn’t going to force us to love him. You can accept or reject him. You can accept him, and ask Christ into your life, ask forgiveness from him for your sins, and have a relationship with God (which is what we are all meant for), or you can spend the rest of your life running away from God and mocking him, and see where that leads (you might think nothing happens when you die. but what if you’re wrong? Then you would be in a bad position).

Ellen, as quaint as your post is, why Christianity?
If you believe we have a conscience so therefore there is a God why does it have to be your God?
Why don’t you let Buddha into your life? After all, your mate Jesus must have as he stole a lot of his ideas from Buddha.
And we know the universe and everything in it was created by a Divine Being, The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
It’s the arrogance of Christians in the way they won’t even consider that other, far older, religions than theirs may have a claim on creation that pisses me off.
Christianity is no more than a mish mash of other, older religions. A rip off. They should be sued for plagarism.

to Ellen :)
“Every one on this Earth knows the difference between right and wrong. It’s like a universal code– ”
Do you think it’s right to stone someone to death because your dress shows 3 inches of skin above your ankle?
Do you think it’s right to stone someone to death because you hold hands in the street with your brother or your father or your boyfriend or your husband?
In some parts of the world people think it’s more than right, it is god willing.
Do you think its right to poke a bull with spears in an arena bleeding it almost to death in front of thousands of bloodthirsty people? In my country some people think it’s right.
Do you think its right to poke a bull with spears in an arena bleeding it almost to death in front of thousands of bloodthirsty people and then kill it with a sword? In the country next to mine many more people think it’s right.
Were is your god defending bulls wrights? Didn’t he created all living creatures? why does he allow people to hurt bulls like this? Maybe you don’t think a bull as the wright to live a dignifying life. Does a dead bull soul go to heaven?
“Also, if you look in nature, all animals act on instinct. Humans are the only beings on this Earth which have the ability to make a conscious decision.”
I am not a rock. I am not a vegetable. I don’t act on instinct all the times but I am an animal, mammal, human (aspiring to be as divine as a pirate). Also my dog is able to do a conscious decision, eg. I ask her are you coming for a walk or staying home? And my dog either comes for a walk or stays home, as she wills. (I know “its a dog not a person therefore you should have used it all the times”, my dog is my second sister therefore is a person and a bitch).
“Then there’s the beginning of the universe(…)”
It was FSM’s doing. He created all. Scientists never could provide any good explanation on anything. Ever seen a tectonic plate moving over or under another? It’s FSM touching our flat planet that makes earthquakes.
“I know a lot of you say organized religion sucks.”
Organized religion doesn’t just suck it drains people. Their brains, their money, their life. “The reason for this is that all humanity is still feeling the effects of original sin and walking away from God and doing evil things” I thought your god, god’s son had taken care of that original sin thing. Didn’t “He died on the cross to save us all and forgive all humanity for the sins we committed”… no? I might be confusing things.
“But God has to let us make choices. He isn’t going to force us to love him.” He might punish you for not loving him, but he’s not going to force it. I know of some people that are like that. They don’t force the one’s they love to love them back however they might beat them and then kill them if they don’t. Some also do the beating no matter what. And every Sunday morning there they are in their church praying with their battered spouses that fallen out the stairs or dropped the car engine on their heads.
“(you might think nothing happens when you die. but what if you’re wrong? Then you would be in a bad position).” When I die things will happen. People all around the world will keep living their lives doing whatever is that they do everyday. But you meant to my soul. Being a pastafarian I will go to pastafarian heaven to drink beer and watch striptease. Or if I’m wrong and there is no pastafarian heaven. There is only your christian heaven then I will be judged and choose not to go to your heaven. Why you might ask. Because you might be a pastafarian all your life, living a good life, doing good to others, not harming a soul and then comes along someone that carves a knife in your heart you die and go to hell for not believing the right god. the man that killed you on the other hand right before he dies he repents in front of a priest for all he’s done wrong in his life then he’s rewarded with your christian heaven. I would rather not to spend my afterlife with someone that prevented me of enjoying more time in my life with my friends and family. I might be tempted to kill his soul if I saw it in the afterlife. However you are the one in trouble for not believing in FSM for that you shall spend your afterlife drinking flat beer and watching ugly stripers while being taunted by pirates.

When Christianity was in charge of things, they called it ‘the Dark Ages’ and if not for that technological setback we would be colonizing space by now.
Granted, that’s still not as good as if FSM had been in charge. Then we’d be conquering the galaxy in huge space pirate ships by now.

I’d give your God ‘the finger’ for allowing child molesters and rapists.
Anyone, ANYONE, who’d allow millions upon millions to suffer and die simply to PROVE A POINT, in my opinion, is worthless.
