Yea, hypocrisy is no big deal. Its fine for a church to adopt a peaceful point of view while supporting war. Fair for Christians to advocate peace on earth and good will towards men, and then intentionally anger people who want the same things, but read from a different scripture. No big deal to claim love and respect for all people and then try to impose your ideas on logic and science. You think this is just a question of the people following the religion? It’s a question of doctrine. Believe what I believe or go to Hell, not because you aren’t a good person, but because you don’t think what I want. Oh, but I still love you. Hypocrisy is a big deal.

thank you writer of this comment. It is true that many people are hypocritical and all religions have nasty people. Being touched by a noodly appendage sounds a lot like those tantacle rape stuff that perverts and spammers send to emails randomly.

And yes this whole FSM thing it just a complete parody and makes fun of christianity, but we were told what we were getting into by Him.

You like to think that your religion is the best, not everyone thinks the same as you. I accept your thoughts but really? Come one let’s grow up and learn to accept that your way is not right, that your way is not the only only way of thinking. It’s not that Christians have no proof, after all they have a book. But I’ve read many books, hell I can write a book. A book means that a human wrote it, which mean to me that it isn’t sufficient proof.

And who says that Pastafarian don’t love everyone. Nothing says love like feeding people. And I don’t reject Christianity because they are hypocrites, I reject Christianity because they refuse to admit that they could be wrong about anything. I understand about having a stance on an issue but the Church refuses to believe someone else could be right.

If you ask God for the truth and God answers you, you need to go to the doctor’s to get a few multi-colored pills. As for Blasting people who think your faith is absurd, Didn’t Christians start wars, wipe out entire groups of people because they wouldn’t convert to Christianity? We might seem to have a weird faith to you, but at least we don’t condone killing people who don’t believe in what we do.

That said, I was hoping you could help with something you wrote: “I could tell you a lot of people who have been killed in the name of FSM…” and that it would take over 10 years to list them all. Could you please name one, maybe two, and give your sources so we could check them out? If true we all really should know about it. Thanks.

What is a durd? And why should I be worried about Christian hell? What happend to all those poor people who lived before the Bible? They all in hell too? What about all those religions much older than the Bible? What makes you so sure your religion is the correct one, and no you can’t say the Bible, all religions have one? If you say God talks to you, I’ll make a bet it isn’t God and you need some medication and a nice man in a white jacket to listen to you.

Since when did hate become such a prominent Christian trait? Jesus Christ (for whom the relgion is named) did not preach hate or intolerance. But then I have noticed most of you good Christians seem to have not read that part of the Bible, or you conviently forget it when confronted with things you don’t like or force you to think.

The funny thing is, I think Jesus would be ashamed of you. I know I am.

Prudence Kitten – You say small g. I am assuming that you mean it was not in the name of the christian god meaning God?

Of the 7 major crusades Pope Urban II is known to play a part if not being entirely responsable in starting the first crusade. Would that not be in the name of the christian God.

The Third Major crusade(Involving King Richard ‘Coeur-de-lion’ of England) was called upon by Pope Gregory VIII. He was only a pope for 2 months and managed to start a major crusade(you may argue that saladin took Jerusalem and this was the popes retaliation but that is still in debate as to whether word could have reached the pope before he started assembling armies).

Thare has been war over that land for a millenia and im sure that that is what Christ intended.

Also what place do you or any christian have in your religion to tell people they are bound for hell. I thought that judging had to be left up to God.

Do you also not find it worrying that you have to use threats of eternal damnation to manipulate people into believing your religion.

If you wanted people to have more acceptance for your religion why dont you try telling the good parts like the morals of the stories in the bible and that it doesn’t matter if they believe in the religion or in god but there are good lessons to be learnt. Try suggesting instead of trying to force people to believe by using fear as a basis.

Im not sure about anyone else but I personaly wouldnt mind being spoken to about an idea as apose to believe or suffer a fate worse than death.

Then people might be a bit nicer when they tell you f*ck off and stop believing in fairy tales
