Wow. Before today I had never heard of FSM

Wow. Before today I had never heard of FSM. Now that I have read your comments, it is clear that most of you are quite bitter and outright nasty. Don’t know why anyone would want to be a part of a group like this. It seems to me that you are all somewhat threatened by Jamie. It seems to me that if I was going to follow a “religion” with “no proof”, as you say, I think I would rather choose the one whose strongest values are in loving others. Oh, and for those of you who say that you reject Christianity because some Christians are hypocrites, grow up. That is the sorriest excuse I have ever heard. We are all hypocrites at some level. Take some responsibility and evaluate it based on its own merit, not on the fact that there are some stupid people who participate. If you have the guts, ask God to show you the truth. If you really want the truth, you will find it, rather than blasting someone who thinks what you believe is a little absurd.

    Hey Niteshade, fancy not knowing what a durd is. Is a danish Tu..rd! Whatabout all those religions? You dont believe in them anyway so why are you crying like some durd! :-) Hate is a relisgion in case you want educating. Where have you been sleeping Rip Van Winkle? Grow up!

    @Bobby Bat

    Yes, hate is a religion, and you are practicing it nicely. It’s easier than thinking, which is probably the allure for you. Based on your spelling in grammar I’d have to say you are the one in need of an education.

    As to growing up, I’m not the one surfing other peoples websites trying to start shit. I suggest you get a hobby and move out of your parent’s basement.

    Prudence - Welcome to the site. People here may disagree with what you wrote, but that’s just how it goes, and by the way, the tone of the discussion is often dictated by tone of the original (your) post.

    That said, I was hoping you could help with something you wrote: “I could tell you a lot of people who have been killed in the name of FSM…” and that it would take over 10 years to list them all. Could you please name one, maybe two, and give your sources so we could check them out? If true we all really should know about it. Thanks.

    It’s not that Christians have no proof, after all they have a book. But I’ve read many books, hell I can write a book. A book means that a human wrote it, which mean to me that it isn’t sufficient proof.

    And who says that Pastafarian don’t love everyone. Nothing says love like feeding people. And I don’t reject Christianity because they are hypocrites, I reject Christianity because they refuse to admit that they could be wrong about anything. I understand about having a stance on an issue but the Church refuses to believe someone else could be right.

    If you ask God for the truth and God answers you, you need to go to the doctor’s to get a few multi-colored pills. As for Blasting people who think your faith is absurd, Didn’t Christians start wars, wipe out entire groups of people because they wouldn’t convert to Christianity? We might seem to have a weird faith to you, but at least we don’t condone killing people who don’t believe in what we do.

    Funny how people who say they do not like people to put down a religion, will actually put down a religion. I believe in the FSM! They have a book and have beliefs.

  7. 147 - September 11th, 2008 at - Joseph Says:

    Hah that prolly was the most hypocritical statement I have heard. You (sir, or ma’am) are the one who is bitter. You are the one who is outright nasty. You like to think that your religion is the best, not everyone thinks the same as you. I accept your thoughts but really? Come one let’s grow up and learn to accept that your way is not right, that your way is not the only only way of thinking. You are ridiculous, I hope that one day you may be touched by his noodly appendage, but until then, may the wrath of the Flying Spaghetti Monster be one of much pain and suffering. I hope that the FSM spare no wrath towards you and all those who decide it is alright to rip on our religion, just because you do not agree with it.

  8. 148 - September 17th, 2008 at - Jonathan Says:

    thank you writer of this comment. It is true that many people are hypocritical and all religions have nasty people. Being touched by a noodly appendage sounds a lot like those tantacle rape stuff that perverts and spammers send to emails randomly.
    ANY girls out there that be wary….

    And yes this whole FSM thing it just a complete parody and makes fun of christianity, but we were told what we were getting into by Him.

    @Joseph
    Your statement is very hypocritical as well, you call him nast and bitter, but you respond with the same bitterness and nastiness. You call him out on the account of him not liking this FSM thing, but you say that his religion is wrong. You do not accept his thoughts, but rather twist them and then do the exact same thing back.

  9. 149 - September 18th, 2008 at - Nick Says:

    Yea, hypocrisy is no big deal. Its fine for a church to adopt a peaceful point of view while supporting war. Fair for Christians to advocate peace on earth and good will towards men, and then intentionally anger people who want the same things, but read from a different scripture. No big deal to claim love and respect for all people and then try to impose your ideas on logic and science. You think this is just a question of the people following the religion? It’s a question of doctrine. Believe what I believe or go to Hell, not because you aren’t a good person, but because you don’t think what I want. Oh, but I still love you. Hypocrisy is a big deal.

    Gosh, I guess I’ll have to think for myself!

    I just asked God for the truth and closed my eyes, I then felt my hands moving of their own accord, and when I opened them; I was staring at the FSM’s main homepage. Seems like God knows the truth.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
