No shit Sherlock. the FSM was invented as an easier way to show christains how retarded their logic is. The single thing that could make their “theory” possible is if they’re right. Their logic is, it could be true and if it’s true it’s possible, and it could be possible if it’s true. -,-”

I dont understand how FSM Bobby Henderson says that Pastafarians respect the other religions when I see O HO here saying that we’re retarded.
Is this the way many FSM believers act?
You say Christians are evil and blam the other religions, but isnt that what you guys are doing too? I dont see how much better you guys are to us.

and please dont say cuz you guys have his tentacle appendages to aid you, cuz that’s kinda scary

As with any religion you will get extremists – Pastafarians are strong of faith, we know we have the one true god – the mighty FSM (may his noodly appendage be upon you)and therefore some followers can get carried away. We are no better, but certainly not worse than a lot of christians out there.

When you place you faith in an intangible father figure to look after you because you can’t look after yourself, it hurts when ppl criticise it because it is your one and only safety net. To even consider that he may be fictional instils panic.

I know Jews, Christians, Agnostics, Atheists, and many other religious beliefs that follow FSM because it is worth a good laugh, and they support the idea that government and religion is a dangerous mix. I wouldn’t want a Scientology running the country, and nor would most of the country, while the rest are in it, or dont really get what it is.

At least people who follow FSM are respectful of other religions, they just like to have fun with them too. Some of us, it is making fun of our primary religion, but you have to have fun with life, or else it isn’t worth being part of really… Who wants to never laugh and enjoy life?

Actually, I don’t see the hate at all. Light mockery perhaps, but if you’re sound in your belief, why do you feel so threatened?
Freedom of speech is a right and using that speech to question the likelihood of other religions is more than reasonable.

In philosophy, we call this satire, which is a means of expressing disagreement. Apparently, in Christian circles, you call it hate. Misappropriated? Definitely, but I see where you’re going with that, and it’s completely moronic.

Arr, this ere’ unbeliever as’ sez’ we pastafarians iz’ ateful’ an’ yet e’s t’ one attackin’ uz?

    And also:
“PAstafarians are part of a Hate group against all religions in the so called bible they delibratley make fun of and minimize all other religons.”
Firstly, making fun of, and hating are not the same… Inconsistencies!
Secondly, every bible or smiliar holy book spews hate against the followers of other religions, so please don’t be hypocritical, especially as his Noodly Goodness doesn’t preach hate.
I am sure that one day, you too will feel the touch of his noodly appendage. Then you will understand we must leave in peace and harmony.
    Arr’ n’ that be that’

What religion other than Pastafarianism admits that their Deity gets drunk occasionally?

Pastafarians at least can laugh at themselves.

If you can’t occasionally laugh at yourself, you deserve to be laughed at.

Take it easy, and may you be touched by His noodly appendages.

That’s not what I understand FSM to be. It understandably is a parody of religion, but it’s not hating on the religions themselves. It’s merely hating on the fact that people from many of those religions like to press their beliefs on others, which is not cool. That is what FSM really makes fun of.

No it is not. It’s a satire, not an attack. We make fun, we don’t outright send hate-mail to the websites of other religions. If you wish to attack our religion, go ahead, you won’t be the first.

Here’s to hoping His Noodly Appendage touches you,

Too bad chat sites like this can’t be outfitted with IQ filters.
Then again, we wouldn’t have NEARLY as much hate mail to ridicule.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
