Christianity is without a doubt one of the biggest contributors to the world market place. Just the other day I saw “prayers in a bottle” for sale. That’s right, you read it right! It will be a long time before we pastafarians even come close to pushing/selling as much useless stuff as christianity.

I know for a fact you can get Christianity t-shirts. You’re just not looking hard enough?
And iPod covers? Yeah, you could probably find one or two.
Besides, the Church of FSM hasn’t received tax exempt status yet, so it needs all the funding it can get!

Really? I have a t-shirt with “Jesus Rocks” printed beneath an image of a robed Jesus playing an electric guitar in the classic rocker stance. And where didn’t we see “WWJD” when that was in vogue? All religions have their commercial side, my friend. Grace sells, but who’s buying?

This absolutely has to be a joke. Surely no one would actually state that there are no christian t-shirts! Really?! Christian symbols and slogans have a huge market on all kinds of merchandise, Some1, including t-shirts, keyrings, baseball caps, bumper stickers, license plates, just about any trashy little item you care to name, as well as, larger items like automobiles. Talk about someone who needs to get out more!

Actually Christianity does all of the above. Have you never seen those strange stores? They sell all kinds of cheap plastic junk – but with crosses on it.
Kindly remove your head from your ass and stop hating on other religions for doing the same thing that Christians do. The Spaghetti Monster is every bit as real as your entire holy trinity, wrapped in one delicious package.

And about the “get out more” thing. Why don’t you go outside instead of wasting your time telling us that this is all a “scam” and “bullshit”?

Many religions do. I see many people wearing shirts with bible verses or jesus on them. It’s not a scam to offer goods to the online community. You can choose not to buy them. “you people”, referring to Pastafarians I assume, aren’t the ones going to websites they do not agree with, simply to insult their religion.

What world do you live in? Because I just so happen to see not only T-Shirts and iPod covers with Christian motifs on on them, but bumper stickers, posters, backpacks, wristwatches, shoes, and on one bizarre occasion, toothbrushes. Talk about scamming with religion? Here’s a little suggestion, though I doubt you would condescend to grant us even the minor benefit of the doubt. Look up some of the stuff that the far superior Christians have done. They pulled the single most powerful scam of all time, selling indulgences so people could purchase their salvation. Namely, the rich, powerful, inbreds (and they generally were at that time) who liked their sins. In the future, before launching an attack, make sure you’re properly equipped, or your attempt will become the verbal equivalent of the Bay of Pigs.
I hope you find noodly salvation.

There be some Jesus faces on them, there be T-shirts proclaiming the superiority of the Christian Lord. Matey, ye be made to walk the plank soon enough fer yer ignorance! And it not be just dem shirts and nifty iPod covers! Bumper stickers, cell phone cases, pencils, pens, bandanas, undergarments! And on one bizarre occasion, toothbrushes! Toothbrushes for the Christian Lord? Scams? Look up the purchase of indulgences, me boy! And who’s the one with so much free time that he be needin’ to bash a bunch o’ innocent spaghetti-lovin’ pirate folks, aye? I do believe that last time I was at sea, I read me some Bible-stuffs. You cannot be serious. have you not been to a “Christian bookstore” lately? There are not only T-shirts and iPod covers, but candy, ties, toys, shoelaces and bumper sticks so that you can proclaim your faith. If you’re going to call yourself a Christian, be educated on what people who proclaim such as doing. And follow the tenets of the faith, which include kindness and tolerance. Even Jesus associated with prostitutes and pagans. And he was kind to them. According to the Christian Bible.

Really? Back in the day Christianity sold absolution to the rich, if that’s not the ultimate sell out I don’t know what is. I see Jesus shirts all the time, and every time the virgin mary “appears” on a grilled cheese sandwich it goes straight to e-bay. Maybe the next time before you spout off you should take the time to read through this website and figure out just exactly what is going on here. The vast amount of hatemail that we get here just proves to us that you people are seriously paranoid about the fact that we are onto your scam. I’d really like to see a response from you but since none of you ever do respond I won’t hold my breath. You people just like to put us down because we have a different view. Sad really. Besides, a new religion needs to make money and spread the word. Since most religions are ancient and already well-known, they don’t need additional money. Plus, the money they do need comes from the collection plates they have in their respective places of worship. Due to our flimsy moral standards, Pastafarians aren’t asked to contribute.
Also, the FSM is nicer than God, so he gives us rewards for contricuting to the cause.

What about bumper stickers, car emblems, alternative renditions of the bible, the tax-exempt status of churches, and televangelists? (and the t-shirt thing, you should know I saw a religeous one just today)
The FSM is most deserving of praise in this manner because he doesn’t make it a requirement that we spend more than 36 hours a week devoted to showing and telling him how great and infallible he is. We shower his noodlyness with affection because we kinda like how he gets things done.
On the subject of you: You fail.

Actually every religion out there has T-shirts, iPod covers etc. At my local mall there are stands with “Christian” and “Catholic” Apparel INCLUDING; iPod covers, Witty bumber stickers, many shirts, shoes, pants, and hats, also cell phone covers, and much more. The Church Of FSM (Which I am currently not part of) has any and all right to advertise their religion just like every other religion out there! Have you ever been to “Incredible Pizza” have you ever noticed how all the Kazoo’s say “Jesus Loves You” on them? I Am A Proud Secular Humanist Who Has Decided To Use The IPU (Invisible Pink Unicorn) To Advertise My Religion At My School And I Think The Church Of FSM Should have the right to do so as well! (visit http://www.unknowntutorials.blogspot.com for updates on IPU logo’s and sayings!

You aren’t well traveled, if you haven’t seen a Jesus t-shirt, and all the shit you can buy in catholic countries. Just pop down to Mexico, or go over to the Philippines, there you will find some of the things you are saying is a “scam”. All religion is a “scam”, most Christianity – the biggest “scam” there is. And that is my opinion.

Actually, you can get way more Christian-oriented t-shirts than FSM t-shirts, no doubt about that. Besides, even if we do have more merchandise than Christianity, it’s only because the FSM kicks every other deity’s ass.

I agree with you, the FSM is pretty weird. But as weird as this movement is, this movement deserves a chance. Personally, I’m Buddhist, but it does not mean I can call a FSM believer a *BLEEP*. They believe in their own beliefs, and I’ll believe in mine, so just leave the FSM believers alone, and do what you do yourself. Me, I’m never thinking about the FSM being real, until they change the heaven theory.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen an iPod cover with a cross as a “love gift” on TBN before.
Whaddaya mean, this is just pure bullsh**? Christianity has televangelists and T-shirts, and if you haven’t seen people wearing T-shirts saying “Christianity,” you’re either blind or illiterate. Look, the Church of the FSM is sheer genius. The only difference between current religions and dead mythologies are the number of practicing worshippers. I’m sure Hercules and Thor were kickass dieties back in the day, and in time even Mohammed and JC will be yawned over in dusty textbooks. The FSM is as real as Jehovah. Your “relationship with your God” is all in your head, and when you die you’re simply going to rot like the rest of us. In the meantime, smarten up and have a beer. We gave up on our imaginary friends when we were children – why can’t you? Pastafarians unite!

I’m sure there are T-shirts and Ipod covers for Christianity, and that there are plenty of people who would like them. There certainly is jewelery designed on christian themes (like the cross), FSM T-shirts are just a modern Christian necklace.
.
Also, suplly and demand mate. If people really want a way to show thier faith then they deserve a way to show their faith, we just do it with tacky T-shirts etc.

What would you call most religions? They make the promise of something they’ll never be around to tell whether they’ve been scammed or not.
The only thing that’s worse than discovering you’ve been scammed is going your whole life without knowing whether you’ve been scammed or not.

A google of “Christian t-shirt” brings over 800 000 results, which is about double the results for “Islam T-shirt”, about quadruple the amount of results for “Hindu T-shirt” and over 20 times the amount of results for “Pastafarian T-shirts”
So Christianitys the scam.

There are many religions who in some way or another try to make money of there believers.
By the way, the profit’s are meant to be used for a huge pirate ship church whereas catholics have paid money for the St Peter’s basilisk without getting anything in return for years, so where not all that bad.
In other religions, donations go directly to the priests’ pockets. However, not only we get to donate towards a noble cause of building the first Pirate Ship Church, we also get tokens for our trouble. Isn’t it awesome?

Good god, I see Christian T-shirts all the time. My personal favorite is “Jesus died for MySpace in heaven.” You can bet these same people are funding a church SOMEWHERE with donations.
Everything this site sales is a parody of something you’d see a person of faith having at some point. We rastafarians just want our religion to be spread in the best way possible, so our main site does merchandise. What’s so wrong with that?

this isn’t a real religion.
the fsm is just a satirical (spelling?), probably athiest, movement that incourages people to think about the truth of the origins of religons, thier holy books and thier claims. therefore, yes it is bullsh**, but it has a purpose for being bullsh**. to make you think about other religons. and why people believe them when there is no hard scientific evidence for them. if there is some all powerful all knowing omnipresent being that created, persuades us and alters small parts of our lives because we beg ( or at least get down on your knees and pray) surely is seems more likely that it is an invisible flying spaghetti monster rather than some (there is only one, non-allknowing creature). put into mathmatical terms it is almost definately more probable. i personally think that the fsm is so cool, as it combines scrutnising religons, promoting pirates, have fridays free from most work related stuff, and SPAGHETTI!!!!!
basically i think that before insulting fsmism people should look at there own religons look at the parralells (definately spelt wrong) and explain why in the case of their religon it isn’t doutable.

One of the reasons I am a radical atheist vs. someone who just doesn’t buy the bullshit is the way that Christianity is rammed down my throat daily. Besides the million “Jesus loves me” shirts I see a day, Christians have the annoying habit of putting up 100 foot high crosses and electronic billboards so that you don’t have a choice but to be accosted by it. I just had ATT put up a cell tower in my neighborhood on a church property and they made them put a huge cross on top. Now I have to look at it daily. I tried to keep my kids free of ALL programming including mine so they can make up their own mind when they are old enough (as the only reason people believe this tripe is that they were programmed as kid). But noooooo, now I have to answer questions about the new cross in my neighborhood. So since I refuse to lie, I tell my kids exactly what it is. I tell them it is a really old fairy tale. In this fairy tale the main guy gets killed by people who don’t like him. They made a rack out of wood in the shape of a cross and then drove railroad spikes right through his hands and feet and blood gushed everywhere. When he didn’t die they impaled him with a spear right into the liver. He really bled then. Just to be mean they took a baseball bat and hit his legs till they crunched.
So now when we go by it my son calls it “the rack”.
Normally, I’d interpret this as a joke, but considering the content of all the other hate mail, this guy seems to be serious.

Just search google. First hit I got was a shirt saying “So glad I’m a Christian M♥M (mom)”
Look at what I found googling for Christ gear:
“Thank you for visiting our website. Here you will find the Crusader for Christ one-of-a-kind design printed on t-shirts, sweatshirts, bookmarkers, and other items. The Crusader for Christ design is not just an ordinary message on clothing to be worn. It is anointed by God to be used as a powerful spiritual tool for teaching and witnessing to the world, God’s promise of protection found in Ephesians 6:10-18.”

Everywhere I go I see Christian bumper stickers and T shirts that say Jesus loves you. Maybe Christianity is a huge scam on humanity that Yeshua pulled off.
A quick Google (which, as we all know, is a corruption of the word noodle) gave me this story of a devout football player wore a t-shirt saying “I belong to Jesus” http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/2007/05/kit_parade_kaka.html and you can buy them too.
I’m not sure how you can call this a scam anyway. I’m not forced or tricked into buying goods touched by His Noodly Appendage, I do it out of free will.
Speaking for myself, but I get out quite alot. If I spent any more time out, I wouldn’t need a house. Besides, dividing people into those who get out, and those who stay in sounds like a typical way religion separate us from them. The chosen by God and the heathens who deserve nothing more than a grizzly death.
You’re just not looking if you think the addled Christian masses don’t do that. I suggest that YOU get out of the house.
Reality is quite a bit different, and quite a bit better than your book.

I have to agree with you there about the iPod covers, but actually, when I lived in Colorado, I used to see people wearing T-shirts celebrating their faith and their church all the time — they’re a good way to raise money for church projects. So, I can’t agree with your conclusion…
I had the same reaction as you the first time I read about the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but the more I’ve read on the subject, the more I realize that it’s just as serious a religion as the one I was brought up with (namely, Catholicism).
For some strange reason I would not be surprised if you are one of those people wearing a crucifix…. only like the most popular form of jewelry… *ouch*

Wherever I look there are please give/donate/support your church signs/posters/t-shirts/crokery etc. It appears odd to me that God can make a planet, make humans, bring you to heaven, send you to hell etc, but for some reason he just cannot handle money. He always needs money. Money it seems is too powerful for Him to handle. Isn’t that strange? I would ask you to think about that but I’m positive it would be a pointless exercise.

Are you serious? I own a T-Shirt printing company. Churches are my biggest customers.
Christianity is a religion that creates a huge number of T-shirts. And book marks, and religious romance novels, and bumper stickers, and those little fish things on the back of cars, and bible covers, and jewelry, and many other items for sale. Christianity is BIG BUSINESS, far bigger than anything on this site.
To point a finger at the sales on this site and blindly ignore the commercialism within Christianity is, frankly, to go against the teaching of Christ. Jesus is reported to have said to get the beam our of your own eye before worrying about the mote in someone else’s.

I’ve seen shirts that say “Jesus is my home boy” Bumper stickers that say “Jesus loves you” and even DVD bibles. i would love to know how those things are different from FSMism. If christians can inform strangers of their religion, why can’t we?

People, people.
Please calm yourselves.
I realize that we all are part of a religion, whichever religion that may be, because we believe it is the right way, but in turn there can never be pure undoubtable truth that any religion is right or wrong. We all have the gift of free will and free thinking minds, whether it be given to us by his Almighty Noodliness, or by any other god or goddess. So please, give up this arguement. There is no right or wrong answer. Yes, the persons point about the money is a poor one, but again his has his own opinion and Im very sure that his Noodliness would not want us to say that ‘Some1′ cannot put forth his oppinion. Thank you.

I dont mean to point fingers, but you dont remeber the “wwjd” campaign? t-shirts, hats, shoes, arm bands, the works. it was like a jesus/livestrong campaign. and its not just chrisitians that make product promoting their religion. mormons go on mission trips around the globe and give mormon based products to help spread their religion. you need to stop and think real hard here. companies advertise to increase their business and revenue. so based on that very limiting thought, one could assume a religion was nothing but a business, if one had no knowledge of either extensively and only looked at that small amount of data. mcdonalds billboard’s, wwjd and chrisitan based billboards. fsm ipod covers, the entire “chrisitan rock” section of your local music store. yes, i am comparing an ipod cover to an entire genre of music, but still. i am simply pointing out one religions use of advertising in this “pure bullsh*t” you claim.

_Everyone_ makes money off of _everything_ if it
a) amuses
and/or
b) arouses
and/or
c) amazes
the potential consumer.
The whole organized religion thing fails on all three tests for me, but the FSM is good for 2/3 of the list, and that makes it a winner for me.
*FLASH* IMPORTANT REALIZATION *FLASH*
Wow. I just realized the depths of the meaning behind the poster’s post. You know how Plato and those ole Greek dudes would argue about reality and perfection and how everything in the material world is an imperfect copy of the Platonic Ideal? You know – this chair is only a shadow of the one true chair and the arguments about the shadows on the wall of the cave and all that?
Well – we’ve just been told that the FSM is not of this realm! He/She/It is pure perfection, untouchable in its ‘Noodly Glory’. To repeat PURE BS!
All other religions are imperfect BS! f you’re gonna have some BS, why not get it as pure and uncut as possible Some1 said so! All hail the pophet! One can never have enoph pophets!111!!1

What’s the difference between WWJD and WWFSMD? We need only be concerned with WWFSMD, the other is in the absolute “Truth” the same as the easter bunny. Meaning there’s no reason to care WJD sould do. Enough said.

Clearly, you’ve missed the point. Scam isn’t the phrase I would use. I would simply say this “religion” is making a statement. You aren’t expected to believe anything you read about this religion, no matter how outrageous and unbelieveable it may seem to you. If you think about it, many people feel that way about Christianity. How can something so unbelieveable and outrageous be a true explanation for how we all came to be? … what a glorious conundrum.

“Just a question, what is tithing?”

Tithing is handing over 1/10 of your hard-earned income over to a church. Churches promote this as a virtue and a worthy goal. Some try to make it a duty, and enforce it through guilt. ( I wish I could come up with some scam that would get people to give me 10% of their income!)

Hey some1. ???!!! Others of our faith have already pointed out that Christianity is full of marketing and items for purchase (how much of that Christian generated revenue ever goes to helping out “the least of my brothers”?) I can say with some measure of righteousness that at least our god does not demand a weekly portion of my salary be given up to his representative (whichever minister/priest/etc. happens to be running the scam) in the form of a tithe. Nor does our god threaten to send us to nasty places after we die or make life hard for us while we are alive if we don’t fork over some cash.

As soon as I read this I immediately looked up “ipod cover with cross” on google and found results. One of them was a cover that made the ipod look like a hymn book (even worse than a cross) and another that had the ipod shuffle (short white stick) plug into an attachment that looked like a cross (except missing a stick) causing it to look like! A Cross! It is called the iBelieve. Check it out: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3105/2350634771_681976ba71.jpg Christianity is the biggest scam on the planet. Especially those TV shows that constantly are asking for more money. I love the way that George Carleton put it: “God is all knowing and all powerful… but he’s not so good with money! No merchandising in Xtianity eh – so whats with the cross? Oh yeah and dont forget the cross with the acrobat on it as well, who ever he is? Iconography? Books – especially the one with the ….erm….cross, yeah that’s it, the one with the cross on the front – all Xtians seem to have at least one of those, Even the Fatcatican in rome and Canterbury Cathedral sells tat, souvenirs from Lourdes, The church of St Nicholas sells santas all year round, funny really because it never drops much below 25 degrees there and you dont see that many Turks walking around in red fur-lined clothes and big black boots, well you wouldn’t really, that one came from Cocacola didn’t it, great product placement! Candles, stickers, sweatshirts, hats, t-shirts (funniest one I have seen had a Celtic cross on it!). The Catholic Church is the wealthiest organisation in the world and it cant all have come through the offertory box!
I believe that the Xtian story of the sermon on the mount has been hijacked from the FSM – the only one that could have fed all of those people was – logically the FSM!

I don’t see the FSM selling anything like crosses, or sending people to houses trying to get us to convert. I had some christians come to my house and push themselves inside and when I started talking about the FSM they looked at me like I had found jesus and bitch-slapped him! Here these people were standing in MY living room trying to push THEIR religeon on me and I’m the bad guy? FUCK THAT! I see PLENTY of people with christian shirts on, ipod covers, tattoos, and other bullshit like that! I hope you’re touched by his noodley appendage! Uh, actually I see tons of Xian merch – hello, ever been to America lately? Shirts, mugs, bracelets, car decals, pencils… you name it, there is something with a cross, or a fish, or a verse on it. Like there are for any religion. In fact, whipping up a design with Photoshop or GIMP, then posting it on Zazzle or CafePress is an easy way to do it on your own. For a real religion or a made-up one. Wake up people.
I see people with tshirts, jackets, ipod covers, cellphone covers, stickers and decals, bumperstickers, necklaces, rings, bracelets, games, action figures, cups, toys, video games, light-up displays, crucifixes, dreidels, those funny little hats, anything that the letters WWJD can possibly be affixed to, movies, fishy stickers and badges, rosaries, incense, candles, dashboard mounts. Some people even buy their own pew in church.

As a high school student, I see my peers walking around in T-shirts commemorating their religion every day (one person even has a shirt that says, in complete sincerity, “Jesus is my homeboy”). At least the proceeds from sales of FSM products go towards the promotion of intelligent and rational thought, whereas donations to, say, the 700 Club go towards private jets. Which is the real scam?

The real shop is even scarier! I’d love to know what Christian ‘essentials’ might be. The fact that they’ve got an integrated shop and chapel says it all really.
Have we got any Pastafarian essentials – apart from the eye-patches?
An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American

I hope you find noodly salvation.

http://www.core77.com/blog/object_culture/what_would_jesus_listen_to_7861.asp
And you may not have seen Christianity T-shirts, but that’s only because you’re not paying attention, to put it charitably:

Actually, I have seen those things, and lots more. Christianity is by far the most merchandized religion, with everything from christian frizebees to cruxifiction chocolates (Chocolate jesus on the cross with red jelly inside). Hell, they even have theme parks. Christians are the last people who should be coming down on us for this (at least until we get our own theme park, hope that’s in the works!)

Hey some1, have you never seen the Jesus fish on the backs of cars? What that has to do with Jesus being a carpenter I don’t know. As for getting out more, I bet we get out a lot more than you do. BTW, this is satire. You do know what that is don’t you? At least when we ask for money you get something for it. Not like when they pass the plate at your church. Sad really. I thought Christianity was about the “love thy brother” thing. Apparently not. FSMism has a much higher standard of ethics and we have absolutely no problem with other religions. We just have a problem with close minded bigots like you.

How about those christian crosses you see?

I’m sure this applies to more than just the idiotic statement you made, but I’ll just pretend this once that you’ll see the error of your brain, and think of some way to fix it that doesn’t involve a hammer, duct tape, and WD-40.

I am sorry your religion has failed to create fashion for iPods and people, but instead thought breath mints were cooler than that.

By the way, the profit’s are meant to be used for a huge pirate ship church whereas catholics have paid money for the St Peter’s basilisk without getting anything in return for years, so where not all that bad.

this isn’t a real religion.
the fsm is just a satirical (spelling?), probably athiest, movement that incourages people to think about the truth of the origins of religons, thier holy books and thier claims. therefore, yes it is bullsh**, but it has a purpose for being bullsh**. to make you think about other religons. and why people believe them when there is no hard scientific evidence for them. if there is some all powerful all knowing omnipresent being that created, persuades us and alters small parts of our lives because we beg ( or at least get down on your knees and pray) surely is seems more likely that it is an invisible flying spaghetti monster rather than some (there is only one, non-allknowing creature). put into mathmatical terms it is almost definately more probable. i personally think that the fsm is so cool, as it combines scrutnising religons, promoting pirates, have fridays free from most work related stuff, and SPAGHETTI!!!!!
basically i think that before insulting fsmism people should look at there own religons look at the parralells (definately spelt wrong) and explain why in the case of their religon it isn’t doutable.

And then there’s the iBelieve: http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-5917932-7.html $2 of which will go to charity. All very Christian.
Love thy noodle, I say.

Hi Some1,
I have to agree with you there about the iPod covers, but actually, when I lived in Colorado, I used to see people wearing T-shirts celebrating their faith and their church all the time — they’re a good way to raise money for church projects. So, I can’t agree with your conclusion…
I had the same reaction as you the first time I read about the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but the more I’ve read on the subject, the more I realize that it’s just as serious a religion as the one I was brought up with (namely, Catholicism).
Just my two cents….
Oooops, wait a sec… I just found a site selling Christian iPod covers (and t-shirts): http://www.hip-edge.com/christian_ipod_covers.html

Are you saying that your church runs on no money?

What religion other than Christianity uses their profit to create multimillion dollar cathedrals (what’s the point?), gives Cadillacs and Mercedes for their pastors/ priests as well as giving them these gigantic homes to live in when they can use the money to help the poor daily instead of during the holidays or times where it will make them look good?

Martin Luther didn`t seem to agree with that one *laughs* Christianity has been making money off of its faithful since it`s conception.
The idea of purgatory and indulgences was particularly smart.
And yes there are T-Shirts…bumperstickers… keychains…playing cards, and whatever other paraphernalia you can possibly think of. While I`ve never actually seen an iPod cover myself I wouldn`t be stupid enough to bet against it.
Oh and the video games…now those are special

@jambomuffin : lolz. yes, I have seen them, too; but I think they call them “rosary” beads. how “roses” and “anal” really go together, I’m not entirely sure, but sounds painful….

Mmm, I guess he forgot about the whole christian rock genre with all their merchandising. Oh, yeah and you can’t forget the Jesus/Paul/etc action figures. (sold at Walmart apparently) http://consumerist.com/consumer/trends/talking-jesus-action-figure-sells-out-at-walmart-332085.php

He always needs more of it! Can’t get enough money!”

Chianti anyone?
Yaaarrrrghh! Yaaarrrrrghh!
P.S. Any theosophical thoughts on the true meaning of Pieces of Eight?

You mean, other than the guy interviewed on 60 Minutes (I think it was, anyway) who sold Papal memorabilia before and during Pope Nazinger’s visit to the US? (Wouldn’t a miter hat be more appropriate than a baseball cap?)
Or, how about the WWJD? t-shirts floating hither and to? (I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t wear t-shirts!)
And I suppose crucifixes are free for the taking? (I want me a free cross!)
Try having a fact or two before ranting, Some1.

Settle down. While you are right, there is plenty of xian merchandise, don’t be so angry and hateful. Be a better pirate than him and be polite. Stooping to lower levels than him isn’t going to help anything. If you have been on the intarrrnets for over a minute, you should know flame wars help nothing.

“what religion creates T shirts, ipod covers? I don’t see people wearing T shirts saying “Christianity”, or Ipod covers with the cross on it.”
You’re right, I’ve never seen a WWJD (I like to think of it as “What would Juice do?”) t-shirt or wrist band. Nor have I ever seen a cross for sale in a jewelery store or a sketch for one on a tattoo artist’s wall, but then I don’t get out much. Mormons do it up best though, with the religious underwear that is required, brilliant!

frankly, i’d say the noodly one needs to expand. this presents new marketing opportunities to spread the faith.”
I haven’t read all the comments so I don’t know if anyone else picked up on this, but are you suggesting FSM sex toys?
I can just see the FSM pleasure doll with noodly appendages of all different shapes, sizes and even textures!

You might not see Christianity T-shirts, but you probably see expensive buildings called churches dedicated to Christianity when a lot of people are dying of hunger on the same street.

a) Enjoy the wit and satire and develop your sense of the ridiculous, it will make life much more interesting.
b) You should have seen World Youth Day here in Sydney AUS this year, there was TONS and TONS of Catholic/Christian merchandise sold by the church, it was everywhere literally!

And soon so you can be saved by him and brought closer to Him!

Some people even buy their own pew in church.

maybe you need to get open your eyes a little. learn a little history maybe. find out that a millions of people died because christians decided that spreading their religion would be the best thing that could happen to the world. the crusades, colonization of america, are some examples of such. try to learn the facts

You’ve never seen a t-shirt that says “Christianity”? Do you live in a freaking cave? Of course, I live in the Bible belt so maybe what I see isn’t the average fore the rest of America. I’m sure they are everywhere though, if you just take off the blindfold you’re wearing.
Here’s to hoping His Noodly Appendage touches you,

The real shop is even scarier! I’d love to know what Christian ‘essentials’ might be. The fact that they’ve got an integrated shop and chapel says it all really.
Have we got any Pastafarian essentials – apart from the eye-patches?
