You really amaze me

You really amaze me! I knew we had a widespread disease in the world today called stupidity, however I had no idea it was this bad. You have certainly taken stupidity to the next level!

    @”The Doctor”
… that only works with people who stated that they are religious themselves. This guy might just be so stupid that he doesn’t know this is a parody site. I’d really rather it if you used your atheist speeches on people that really deserve it.

Stupidity? You believe that in the beginning of human existence an evil snake talked a naked chick into eating an apple…

    Dear Psalm,

How Ironic you talk about Christians being persecuted for their beliefs. Do we so quickly forget about things like the inquisition, and the ongoing holy wars around the world for some worthless piece of holy ground? So before you start accusing have a little introspection into your own religion. You’ll soon realize FSM is a far more benificent and loving diety, let me know the next time someone is executed in the name of FSM

What part of parody religion don’t you get?
It’s funny; it’s a way to discuss things, religion, and education. I dare ask: does it offend you in any way, or your believes?
On my part, the catholic church has been mocking the whole planet for centuries, and I don’t mean it in any way offensive to anyone’s religion, it’s just the hypocrisy and intolerance that annoys me.

(sorry about the english, it’s not my first language)

I agree that it isn’t cool to insult someone else’s religion, no matter what you think of it. I mean, if I did that whenever I felt like it, I would long ago have been ripped apart by multiple rabid congregations.
But Pastafarians!! If you do silly things like call this guy (as close minded as he may be) names and swear at him, you are sinking to his level! And that’s what he wants you to do, because it makes you seem as closeminded as he is

And Ms. Psalm woman? Why must you assume that the Pastafarians are making fun of you? Theyre having a good time and not hurting anyone, and by posting what you did you’re being one of those people who tries to disprove another person”s god. Hypocrite. And a couple lions aren’t anything compared to the horrors Christianity has wreaked on the world.

    Psalm51…

You are going very far back in history to claim persecution. For the last millennium or so it has been the Christians doing the persecuting. Or didn’t they teach you that in sunday school?

The widespread disease known as stupidity as been around far longer than you think…pretty much since the beginning of homo sapien’s social decline through organized religion.

I had no idea how bad the disease was until I read this. I was blind but now I see.

  17. 57 - May 15th, 2008 at 4:09 am - Nathaniel Eckhart Says:

Psalm51, what are you doing, if not persecuting us? Indeed, this is much easier to take than, say, when you don’t wear pirate regalia. This simple act is being done by millions of otherwise good people, and for it they shall never reach His kingdom. You speak of personal pains, such as being eaten by a lion, but He has made the act of eating sacred, creating Spaghetti in his image. You must look past the personal gain and toward the community. If you were a pirate, you would understand and help fight Global Warming and all of the Invisible Pink Unicorn’s other dastardly plots in His name.

    Amen.

    Just a thought…

Having read several comments that have been left on our site I have, quite rapidly I should add, come to the conclusion that the people who pour scorn onto our religion have not thought their comments through at all. I do hope that when I revisit this site shortly I will met with a comment from an educated individual who has made a constructive argument as to WHY our religion is a ‘widespread disease’. Not just a barrage of more pathetic hate mail that only serves to make the writer into a pitiful figure. I apologise if some of the words in this note prove difficult for some to read!

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
