This whole Obama comment about people being “bitter” in Pennslyvania illustrates how backward the media and the presidential campaign staffs have it.
The Obama comments were all over the Sunday talk shows, but there was not one mention of the smoking gun with regard to the Bush White House using “enhanced interrogation methods” apporved at the highest levels by Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney, Tenant, Powell, et al. No mention or talk about whether this constituted a possible impeachable offense and/or war crime. Nothing. Nothing at all.
But let an Obama or Hillary commit a verbal faux pax, and the media is all over it.
JHC, what the hell’s is going on in this country. I can’t believe that no one is making an issue of things like Abu Graib and Gitmo and waterboarding in the halls of congress and on the campaign trail. Why is there a conspiracy of silence on this. Are we this gutless as a nation? Has the media become a wholly owned whore of big oil? WTF, why can’t we come to terms with this?
