What about us is, um, screwed up?
So we believe in a Flying Spaghetti Monster.
If you are a Hindu, you believe in some seriously scary-looking monsters, and I am sure at least one of them faintly resembles the FSM.
If you are a Buddhist, you believe in the Three Jewels and a very ENLIGHTENED guy named Siddhartha Gautama.
If you are Jewish, you think that candles expected to burn for 1 day burning for 8 is a miracle.
If you are a Catholic, you have some twisted logic that Jesus died for YOU. He didn’t even know you!
If you are a Christian at all, you believe that Moses talked to burning bushes.
^^Are the above less likely than our religion?
Do any of them TRULY make sense?

    I thought not.
So why don’t you let us worship without having to deal with persecution and ostracism from close-minded, intolerant people like you?

Peace, Love and Pirates to all.

This is really a great site of satire (and maybe even some belief)! In recently starting to study the Bible along with Buddhist scripture, I have found the Bible (especially the Old Testament) to be very esoteric, intolerant, and just plain weird/irrelevant at times. Leviticus anyone?

Of course, there is philosophy in the Bible that is applicable to theistic and atheistic life . . . albeit it needs to be dug out of a bundle of intolerant/ignorant messages. Buddhism however, is more a life philosophy which actually develops upon what many consider to be the best messages in the Bible and parade around all of us so gallantly. Proclaiming the Bible as the ultimate code of ethics is factually wrong, considering a more humanistic philosophy like Buddhism (basically a very specific, albeit fairly universal code of ethics in everyday living) has scripture that ends up being roughly 11 times the size of the King James Bible.

No offense to any intelligent Christians, but I have made many look like morons because they have had the propensity to criticize secularism or other religions like mine. But, not even spent the time to say, even understand the basic concepts of my faith (or lack of). Basically, fundamentalism is a problem, and this sometimes can be applied to the secular community as well. I realize that many issues in the world are caused by a culmination of factors, not merely a lack of faith!

By the way, I don’t know where the word usage Cama came from . . . maybe because the accepted pronunciation of the word Khmer is “ka mai.” That being said, what happened in Cambodia was a shame. A very important woman in my life is actually from Cambodia. Don’t just blame one factor for a tragedy like that; it is very insulting.

You can pray for the wind to go away, and it will, or you can do nothing and it’ll still go away.

This pissed me off so much that I’m posting again.
Bud, we don’t NEED your prayers. Save them for the lunatic that posted “you dumb bitch”. And we are NOT fucked up. I don’t need to restate what I said beore.
Your God (if you are of any religion that believes in the Bible, Torah, etc.) initially said it was OK to own and beat slaves, to kill someone for not “honoring” their parents (I guess that includes failing a test, if the parent feels dishonored) and to discriminate women. But now, apparently, He “changed his mind.” If he’s so great, how come he thought these things were OK in the first place?!?!?
Our mighty FSM is at least willing to admit that he gets drunk once in a while, but does he flood the whole world, killing everyone but his favorites, Noah and family? NO!!!
    Peace Love and Pirates

It isn’t our place as christians to judge those that sin or have symptoms of disbelief, because all sins are equal. Does the passage “let he who is without sin cast the first stone” ring a bell? Who are we, oh ‘righteous’ christians to banish the fsm worshipers to hell, when we should also be banishing ourselves for persecuting them so avidly? This better than thou attitude is not acceptable.

Awww! Thank you! I’ll pray for you too! (And then we’ll see who gets the results first…)
