    The word Scientology literally means “the study of truth.” It comes from the Latin word “scio” meaning “knowing in the fullest sense of the word” and the Greek word “logos” meaning “study of.”

    Scientology is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others and all of life. The Scientology religion comprises a body of knowledge extending from certain fundamental truths. Prime among these:

    Man is an immortal, spiritual being. His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized — and those capabilities can be realized. He is able to not only solve his own problems, accomplish his goals and gain lasting happiness, but also achieve new, higher states of awareness and ability.

    In Scientology no one is asked to accept anything as belief or on faith. That which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and observing or experiencing results.

    Through Scientology, people all over the world are achieving the long-sought goal of true spiritual release and freedom.

    @I am god

    I would just li8ke to point out, that if you so choose to indoctrinate us, please, email your comments tp Bobby Henderson, and he will place them in their due position. allowing peo9ple to specifically discuss you ideas, namely those of a “study of truth”, that involves aliens, and it Just Happened to be made by an award winning science fiction Author.

    On an on topic note, i admire the idea, but i too agree. Where goeth the hand?

    What does your post have to do with a beaded bracelet? Aren’t you on the wrong web site?

    DUDE. We don’t need any fundraising. Gifts. We don’t even need to worship our creator! How cool is that.
    You can never convince me of anything more cool than that. Untill you proof me the FSM did not creat us and all ofcourse.
    Up yours, you know what you are,

    @ Captain Jordan,

    I assume it goes in the middle, which would push the little red beads to the outer necklace bit anyway?

    Can the creator please model it?

    Well, as a conservative evangelical Christian I have to admit this site is hilarious. I’ll be returning for some good laughs. Also, good for you that you have found a way to market your beliefs, make money off of them and obtain a little fame for yourself. Some Christians have done the same, good for you. BTW love your tee shirts…you’ll understand if I don’t buy one though.

    As any good Italian does, I regularly eat pasta twice a day. It makes me feel really good, so I hope I’m not making any blasphemous action. I apologize since the very start, just to be sure. :(

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
