Who do you support?

Published January 6th, 2008 by Bobby Henderson

candidates.jpg While religious organizations are prohibited from recommending and supporting specific political candidates, I want to know who you’d like to see as the next President of the United States.

Mike Huckabee seems to support the inclusion of Creationism into schools/government, and that would be good for Pastafarianism – if our theories were allowed. We’d almost certainly be excluded, but we could then fight for equal treatment.

Ron Paul stands for equality and fairness – I think he’d support Pastafarianism, too. But then, he’s a doctor; with a science background, would he be skeptical of our supernatural theories?

It’s hard to know what Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton would do in office. John Edwards was a trial lawyer. Who knows if he supports Pastafarianism, but if he did, it would be nice to have him on our side.

Mitt Romney is a Mormon and therefore probably has a soft spot for far-out supernatural theories. But would he support our far-out supernatural theory?

Who do you support and why?

I hope Obama wins for the sake of the USA. Hilary Clinton looks like a machine politician and we already have a Bush Dynasty and don’t need a Clinton one to follow. However, almost anyone would be better than Crazy George or his close friend and religious nutter Tony “Baloney” Blair.

Is Bush really as stupid as he seems to us here in Europe? These little piggy eyes, the claims to know what God wants, and the confused speech give me the creeps.

Definitely Kucinich. He’s awesome but supported by a minority.

I am voting for Ron Paul, he stands for everything I stand for, and he’s not letting religion get in the way. He’s fair and equal and not flip floppy like Clinton, Nor spending 400 dollars on haircuts like Edwards, or having a weird medical health plan like Obama.

    he’s the perfect candidate

    Kucinich is awesome!
for any who haven’t you need to see him with his interview with Stephen Colbert
look it up on youtube or something

Ron Paul would probably do more to get the government out of our lives, and end the war on drugs, than any other candidate.
While I agree with him that abortion should generally be prohibited, I would make an exception – IF THE WOMAN WANTS ONE.

Voting is so last century, world needs a Pastafarian theocracy where harsh penalties exist for anyone who doesnt show loose moral values

I’m not sure who I’m going to vote for yet. There are several candidates with good points, but none that jump out at me as being really exceptional.
I’m a big fan of Kucinich, but I doubt he will make it through the primaries.
Basically, I’m just really hoping that Romney doesn’t win. I’m from MA, so I know from experience that he was a horrible governor, and would make a horrible president.
That being said, I’m an “unenrolled voter” so I don’t vote in either primary. I’m just waiting it out, to see who makes it to the general election.
Anyway, whoever we wind up with, he/she can’t be much worse than our current commander in chief.

Also, to those who said they wanted Bobby Henderson, he would be a good president, but unfortunately is not old enough. You have to be 35+ years old to be president, and according to the FAQ, Bobby is only 26.

He may not have spent 400 dollars on a haircut but I heard that he took 500$ from a White Supremest group. I say he should spend it on the National Holocaust Museum.
