this is complete nonsense

OK, I agree that this is a bunch of complete nonsense. All you people who actually think that a flying spaghetti monster created us are just confirmation that this world is soon coming to an end. I pray that someone around you will show you the Bible someday soon and that you turn to Jesus Christ our savior so God can have mercy on your souls, because if not, you’re all going to hell.
with pity,
anonymous

Your coming with me buddy for only god can pass judgement. Its in the bible, which I have read, most likely more times then yourself. What makes you think your book is better then ours. Its made out of paper, its in several different languages, it says that aren’t openly verifiable, we the same man. Why dam us to a place noones ever seen. I’ll see you next to the beer volcano.

    “GERAFIN.

    watch yourself.

    BORING afterlife?
    are you kidding me?
    open your eyes.
this BORING afterlife you talk about.
    isn’t BORING at all.
us CHRISTIANS will be with the god we LOVE.
and if you think it’s boring you’ve got something else coming.”

    It’s really annoying
    to have to read
    all of your misguided
    nonsense
    like this.

Personally, I’d take Hell over an eternity with the likes of Fred Phelps, among others.

@Anonymous: Clearly you are missing the point. Even someone such as myself who was subjected to 8 years of strict Catholic schooling is disappointed by your blatant hate mongering and intolerance towards those with beliefs different than yours. Perhaps my school was somehow special but we certainly did NOT learn to threaten others with our beliefs. It seems to me that the core beliefs of FSM and Pastafarians around the globe should be a lesson in peace and tolerance to everyone. I certainly hope that the FSM will welcome me with open noodles.

…Oh- and… did anyone beside myself ever notice that someone who sticks their two-cents in with the intent to piss people off rarely ever commits his name to the act? Anonymous sure is a fantastic cop out. Just an observation…

    Oh please.
There is no more proof that God or Jesus exists than there is for our beloved FSM.
Stop bashing the Wiccans, and the Atheists, and every other belief system there is…
what was it that Christ said about turning the other cheek?!

What I find strange about all you religeous people is you dont think you have to qaulify your beliefs. If you believe in one form of politics or another, or economics, or Science you are required to qaulify it. But religeous people claim ndignation when you question their beliefs. Why the difference? Beliefs are nothing more than opinion without evidence, or in other words prejudice. Of course the Flying Spaghetti Monster is nonsense and I dont think the creators of FSM take it seriously, the irony (something Americans have difficulty understanding) is that it could, if you so desire it to, be taken as reality, all you need to do is believe or have faith as a Christian would pontificate. Here in lies the point, believe as I previously mentioned, is only an opinion and not based on any tangible evidence. What I find ammusing about the semitic religeons of Judaism, Christianity and Islam is that the proponents of these sky God religeons choose to believe a barbaric “Bronze Age” text known as the Old and subsequent New Testments which was created by old tribal men several thousand years ago, probably somewhat akin to the backward thinking Taliban running around Afghanistan today.

Depite the fact that science has proven large parts of the bible wrong like ‘day being created before the sun’ etc you choose to keep believing. Your Abrahamic God must have being playing a good joke on your prophets for them to put it into writting. The reality of this is, that if things like the sun coming after day (when we know the sun actually creates the day) is wrong, how much else is wrong in the bible. Yet creationists want intelligent design to be taught in school by the same God who proclaimed the sun was created after day? Should we confront these beliefs? Yes! whole heartidly! Are these beliefs dangerous?…. What do you think? Hey there’s a thought Christians, try thinking! It really is so important!

    Anonymous X-tian,
It is SO important that you succumb to his noodly goodness. For he loves you so much, and wants what is best for you. His noodles are the only way for you to find happiness, and freedom from ID.
I was a lost soul like you, but his noodles have touched my very soul. I used to smoke crack while drinking a fifth and driving (on the way to an ID class), but his noodles have rescued me from the bondage and human misery that is ID. I am now a repentant Pastafarian, and have found a being who truly loves me unconditionally(and pirates, too).
Find your noodly master, before it is too late!!

    To NIKKI…
You told me to watch myself. I am. I am watching myself living life to its fullest, basking in my noodly deity’s glory. I also watch “hardcore” Christians avoid life’s great joys, ignore reason, instill hatred, and base their actions upon a few select things that their carb-free god said, ignoring the rules that would actually make them decent people…
    And to frayedjade…
    LET THE LIGHTNING COME!!!

Are you trying to convert us? Nice technique. Why can’t you just leave we Pastafarians alone? We don’t do anything wrong–what,’d you hear about this from a friend and decide to start crapping on it? Why? Shouldn’t you tolerate other religions? That’s what the Christian god is all about, right? Also, there aren’t any crappy belief videos or advertisements for FSM. Date Christian Singles? That’s all that ever shows up in my bulk folder! Who precisely sends those emails out? Again, I say nice conversion technique, and I hope this leaves you with something to chew on.

I just love how people believe that Pastafarians really believe in the FSM. It truly is a treat to see them rage and vent at how “stupid” we are, and how we are doomed to hell. I take endless enjoyment out of reading things that people wrote seemingly to mock us, but in the end they only mock themselves.

  13. 153 New Pastafarian Feb 12th, 2008 at 2:09 am

Wow…. Some people actually take this seriously? They honestly think there’s a bunch of people out there worshipping a flying ball of spaghetti? And those people have the gall to call these “pastafarians” stupid? Honestly, if you’re stupid enough to beleive that a group of people actually beleive the world was created by levitating Italian cuisine, do us all a favour and don’t breed.

P.S: It’s amazing how 90% of the people calling the FSM stupid can’t spell as well as a 5th grader.

Do the people who come here not realize that the Flying Spagetti Monster is a parody and that the religion is a parody.

About one Sunday a month, I take my grandmother to church. It’s not my thing, but it means the world to her and offers her a little comfort that maybe I won’t end up in hell. She’s 91, has always been good to me and I figure it’s the least I can do to alleviate a little anxiety in the old girl’s life. I am always respectful when I enter her house of worship, I stand when I am supposed to, I sit when I am supposed to, I sing along when I am supposed to and in general try not to embarrass my grandmother. When the minister takes the passage of the bible and tries to re-direct the meaning to further a personal agenda, I don’t stand up and point it out. When the same minister tries to belittle me in front of my grandmother for not attending every Sunday, I merely smile politely. My point being, I would never attempt to demean someone else’s spirituality just so I can feel superior. I have read the bible and feel it was never intended to be taken literally. It was written as parable much like the Tortoise and the Hare. When I read that it never occurred to me that there was really a talking rabbit and turtle having a race. I recognized it as a bigger lesson. While I would never refer to myself as a Christian, I do recognize that if you were to live your life as Jesus suggested, it would indeed be a much nicer place. Unfortunately, there are far too many Christians who use the book as an excuse to stand in judgment of others “Judge not lest ye be judged”, as an excuse to point others perceived faults “Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone” etc.etc. I could go on and take a few pot shots at the Fred Phelps types but I won’t cuz he’s just too stupid for words. Just once I would like to hear someone from the Christian faith explain to me why they always want to glom onto the Old Testament when they feel like hating on other people. If you are truly a follower of Jesus, then it is his teachings you should paying closer attention to.

We fear not of Hell, for the FSM will come and rescue us from it.

  17. 157 Markus Feb 24th, 2008 at 8:33 pm

I read the bible, but all the talking burning bushes, talking snakes, and people randomly turning to salt weirded me out. I think a flying spaghetti monster makes just a little bit more sense.

We have a bible, and it is much better than your own so get over it.

This person exemplifies the ignorance of all fundamentalist religion followers. Christian-Wright people like “anonymous” think anyone who does not accept Jesus as their lord and savior is going to “hell”.

Honestly, Fuck you. You are the root of all evil in the world. I would laugh if there was a holocaust for fundamentalist Christians. Religion has not done anything significant for the progress of man, ever.

We’d have great fun in “hell” with all of the other smart, intelligent people that ever went against the Christianity. Only, hell doesn’t exist.

And yes, this Religion (Pastafarianism) is a satire religion poking fun at people who believe in “intelligent design,” but at least it makes sense. It makes just as much sense as any other religion.

If only there was a “bad” place where all the “bad” people would go, like the guy who says we’re all going to his “hell”.

It almost seems as if he is trying to put other people down for not being like him. That’s a sin, right?

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
