Did you notice the new header?

Huge thanks to Vincent Moreau for the new header image. He also made this incredible wallpaper for us.

I liked the old one better. It was more blasphemous.

it’s really cool, but I REALLY liked the old one. I mean, you really can’t do better than a spoof of a well known painting(that was painted by an artist who was most likely gay) that is on the ceiling of one of the most important chapels for the catholic faith. I mean… that is irony at it’s best.

I love it, i really love stuff like this.

but, i hate to say this, because I really love seeing people get excited and making things, but the touched image is just perfect satire, and yet amusingly and effectively looked less like a joke.

my $.02, i love all the artworks!

Umm, I tried reloading several times but mostly all I get is a blank white space with the “home” link at the bottom. Running my mouse cursor over it and the other links show up (”About”, Share the word” e.t.c.). I’m using firefox 2.0.0.11, win xp, slow internet connection in Australia (don’t have probs with other headers, just slow sometimes).

Forgive me FSM, I must have sinned, please extend your noodly appendage in my direction so that I may see all your glory.

It is nice but I have to agree with those who liked the previous one better for the very reasons pointed out by Anim8or.

The new header is awesome! I was getting tired of the Holiday Touched scene.

Very nice work, but the old banner was much, much better. Maybe put them both into a rotation?

Did anyone noticed the two suns?

  20. 40 rmw Jan 9th, 2008 at 7:37 pm

@The Almighty Doer of Stuff–they are neither suns nor halos but rather the meatballs of light. ;-)

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
