Greetings!
I wanted to send you pictures of the lovely FSM holiday tree my son and I designed and decorated today.As has been noted previously in blog discussions, it is possible that Christian usage of the “ball”-type ornament to decorate their holiday trees actually originated as an homage to His divine meatballs and that the garlands or strands of lights used on Christian holiday trees are in fact merely a representation of His noodly appendages. With that in mind, my son Brian and I used white rope lights draped vertically to resemble pasta, and ornament-balls in several meatball-type colors (reds, browns, bronzes).
The tree topper is handmade by Brian, as are the other FSM ornaments on this holiday tree. FYI: I took the pictures today but intend to obtain a pirate flag tomorrow for use as a tree “skirt.”
We really hope you enjoy this. So far, the response has been positive and everyone has respectfully allowed us the freedom to express our religious beliefs at this special time of year.

Hi Everybody, I live in Mexico and I have a 4 year old son, and he wanted a star on the tree, but I told him we are not going to put a star … instead we are puting a FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER! ohhh and he was so happy we put it together with some shoe laces, brown paper and white glue, I told heim we are the only ones here in Morelia(where I live that have a FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!!!!

These artists are truly guided by His Noodly Appendages. It is all so beautiful. I forget what my art history teacher said about folk art and culture (should have layed off the grog), but this self-expression is definitely a good thing for Pastafarianism.
