Had enough of being an intolerant, close-minded, deluded, in-your-face bible bashing twat?
Then join the FSM! A great place to spread the noodly love.

    @Maxglobs
“I do so love the ‘miss the point’ game.”
    .
Heh, I totally agree with that. Apparently he missed our motto, “there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design” Great job, drew, you’re directing people to the opposite direction you’ve intended.

ScienTastic: I love your rant because it not only addresses general ignorance of science, but also that of grammar, punctuation and spelling. Isn’t it funny how those who dismiss science also have no talent with the English language? Coincidence? I don’t think so.

    Drew,

The Jews have a great word that describes you completely! Shmuck!

Try reading the about page but since you didn’t bother reading it in the first place I doubt you have the mental capacity to get there. Go back to school before you try to post another comment that is completely nonesense.

Please learn to read, you will be much happier in the long run!

Go ahead and bash our pastafarianism based religion which really isn’t a religion. The satisfaction you will get will likely be akin to punching tofu. And just for the record I don’t bash other people’s religion…..yours sucks by the way.

I’m not sure I’ve even seen anyone on here bashing anyone else’s religion except of course the angry Christians bashing ours, I’m sure when hes drinking stale beer for the rest of his days he’ll have time to realise, though I doubt it……….

It’s surprising (although by life experience not so much) how people of traditional religions complain so much about their religions being bashed in the same sentence as ridiculing pastafarianism. Although I am sure the majority keep their beliefs to themselves there is that portion that strongly believe they could not possible be wrong about their 2000+ year religion that was loosely compiled by a random selection of people of unknown intelligence. If you really feel you are so above everyone, why not quietly wait for your eternity in heaven, instead of pointing out to every non- believer that they will burn in hell. This brings the question why you would even want to spend eternity anywhere. Eternity. It’s forever, how fun could it really be to do anything forever, and to know that there is no way out. If also you are in a spiritual form, there will be great physical limitations to the things you could do. To me, it doesn’t sound to great and I think the only reason we manage to accomplish anything in our lives is because of the pressure of time we have upon us.

Did you ever consider that the reason alot of people oppose christianity is because it is extremely hostile to non-believers, it does not embrace diversity but excludes anyone who is different. If the bible is really ‘Holy’ and supposedly God’s own words, why do people see it fit to rise above this and pick and choose what is right?

Pre-packaged mass religions are a thing of the past and I greatly hope they will cease to exsist during my lifetime as this will show some actual growth of humanity. Instead of believeing in something ancient that you will never understand anyway(mainly cause the original Hebrew the bible was written in cannot properly be translated) choose a new religion based on what you personally believe or put your faith in science, which after all brought the world to where it is today.

To all those that believe the world would have no morals or standards without religion, consider the fact that the religion ruled middle ages where barbaric compared to the later renaissance where science took precedence.

YES! I am tired of having my religion bashed! I much prefer it with a good caprese.

    Ooh! An advert for Christianity!
    .
Seriously, though, why does nobody comprehend the fact that we only take the piss out of people who take the piss out of us? I, at least, have nothing against Christianity in general; my problem is with people who try to convert me to it. One of my best friends is Catholic, goes to a Catholic school, attends church every Sunday, stands up for Christianity in RE lessons (sorry, /stood/ up, obviously she isn’t in the same school as me any more), etc.
Another of my best friends is like Miss Uber-Athiest.
I have nothing against them practicing their respective beliefs, or standing up for them. I just hate people trying to make me do the same.

I think drew is just some nut from that crazy pink unicorn cult, posting here to distract us while his friends steal our beer. Shame on drew.

This site isn’t exactly to bash other religions, that’s what the ignorant do… It’s to keep id out of public.

  13. 53 pheer6224 Dec 28th, 2007 at 5:06 am

we are only as open minded as their holy creators allow them to be.

I`d just like to say that the post from MEM (dec 21) echo completely my views, well done on an eloquent and rational piece. Truly you must be touched by his noodly appendage.

Thanks Drew, it’s nice to see something other than threats of damnation and smiting in this section. :) However, at this point we can’t really afford to bash back because we’d just lose face and end up getting it thrown back in our faces anyway.
    .
    Nice sentiment, anyway.

i assumed this thread was created purely for amusement.
i myself have a sick, twisted, fetish for watching ignorant people of one faith bash and flame ignorant people of another religion, and vice versa.
    idk, sometimes it gets funny.

not much of a person to jump into it MYSELF, but i do think that episode of south park “all about the mormons” proves a point.
especially that little speech at the end, which i totally didn’t expect.

also, i hate christians cuz their jesus cracker things at mass are tasteless. and i also hate jews cuz most of them have different hair. curly?
i hate everyone too, cuz they suck.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
