I think that if you look at the site (if you are referring to venganza.org) you will find that most of the arguments against religion are actually based on logical arguments. It’s not closed minded to say something is wrong, it could just be wrong. For example, was it closed minded of my professor to dock points off of my last paper? I thought it was right (just like christians think christianity is right) but he know that I had missed something and called me out on it. In a discussion after class he was able to show me what I had done wrong and I now know the material better for it. I didn’t write an angry E-mail criticizing him for being closed minded.

We don’t really bash religions drew…we bash the religious that come here to bash our own religion. Also, we like to bash those that come here looking for a fight and don’t even recognize the concept that the FSM presents. All you see is something that challenges your made up belief system and you’ve got nothing better to do than try and make us look like we’re the bad guys. You came here drew, I’d love to come to where you are and show you the truth that his noodly appendage can bring to your life but I won’t cause I’m not the type to show up somewhere I’m not wanted and try to force people to see my view as their own.

Actually, the forums are monitored so you can’t actually “bash” other religions. The forums are for (mostly) intelligent debate.

Close minded? Well, i’ll believe in any other god once it presents itself to me. But I like FSM the best. Oh, and just so you know, my best friend is christian, and I don’t despise him.
But welcome, Drew, you will undoubtedly be a very short lived addition to the forums.
I, for one, do not bash any religion. I simply ask that everyone recognize that there is significant disagreement on what religion is the “correct” one, or even if “religion” is correct at all. So let others believe what they think best. Don’t try to extablish any religion as the “accepted” religion of America, or any country, and don’t try to make it into something (science) that it isn’t.
Your sarcastic post shows more intolerance to me than most of the people who post on behalf of the Church of the FSM. But that, in the end, is for your conscience and not for me to judge.

While I am sorry that you feel everyone is bashing your religion, it is good to see you had some sense in deciding to see the noodlyfied light, and join us (as your message obviously states you are doing).
But if I misread it, and you are in fact saying we are too small a minority to exist, remember, being a minority gives you lots of advantages, special jobs are often created for people of certain minorities.
You may have misread us, as beeble says, we aren’t bashing religion, we are bashing people trying to say religion is science. It isn’t. It never will be if we have a say.
