Very nice, but it does that FSM into directly into an area in the religion arena that is a little far from the evolution-creationism act. But then again, it’s still the same big tent show.

@I love eruptions in heaven :Best Christmas song i have heard was sung by my kids when they were little. When singing “Silent Night”, they would sing of the “round young virgins”. Now they are all grown up, and they STILL sing it that way!!!!! Perhaps we should start there and adapt it for FSM use?

The Noodles lay on the surface,
    Angel hair like a light.
(O weary, weary were the world,
    But here is all aright.)

I moved noodles to my plate,
    Didn’t have to move far.
    (O stern and cunning Funchetti,
    But here hearty dishes are.)

Linguinne fits with “white” clam sauces,
    not putting tongues on fire.
(O weary, weary is the world,
    But hear the world’s desire.)

    Taglierini very thin and delicate,
    Flat as commonly known,
And all the eaters looked up at Him,
    And all noodles looked down

We’re glad everyone likes it so much! It was created after a Friday happy hour a couple weeks ago. We’re working on a higher-res version, but the original was kind of small so we’ll see what’s possible. If anyone has suggestions, that would be great.

As everyone knows, tinsel is used to metaphorically spread the wish of noodily goodness. This harkens back to the wise man who brought gifts of fettuccine and marinara with a sprinkle of fresh basil (thus the red, green and white color scheme). May all the season’s seasonings be with you.

    .
Maybe with you there, Pluto will be able to steal a pirate ship for us. Just don’t do it drunk, I seem to remember that being a problem with the Cutty Sark job a while ago. Oh, and when I say “it” I mean stealing the ship, not IT. I don’t care if the two of you do that “it” drunk.

Great! Mind if I use it on my holiday cards this year? Not for sale… just to give to a few people that aren’t being represented in the variety of holiday religions.

OK, so the recent NPR coverage of discrimination against our religion got me thinking: we need a name for our winter holiday. Chrifsmas and Pastamas seem like potential names. Here are a few other candidate names revealed to me by the Noodly One.

    1) Ramendan
    2) Kwanziti
    3) Nöodel
    4) Pastover

Perhaps there are others in our community to whom the FSM speaks more clearly.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
