Our friends at Daily Kos report that the global warming models that were believed to be true by most scientists are likely wrong.
The world’s climate experts have long been making some very dire predictions about Global Warming. Because they are predictions, they rely very heavily on computer models.
Many people– especially conservatives– warned about this. They pointed out that models are prone to many errors, and the scientific consensus is not always right.
Other people chose to rely on the scientific consensus. Honesty compels me to admit that I was in this group. We didn’t think think the consensus was the last word, but we did believe it was the best window to the future a non-specialist could look through.
…
The consensus of climate experts were wrong. Absolutely, verifiably wrong. The computer models were wrong. They simply do not match reality.
It’s almost like the scientists overlooked something, another factor somewhere…
Daily Kos doesn’t mention the Pastafarian theory of Global Warming, but the article is worth reading, anyway: here.

BBC!! – re: the B52s and the cruise missiles.
.
Yeah – I think it’s a cover-up myself. They new the nukes were live.
.
You see, it was a top secret mission organised by the Illuminate under the instructions of the Lizard Queen of England. They were supposed to get hijacked by Iranian terrorists (really MI8.25) and bomb France.
.
Queen Elizardbeth is terrified that the truth about Diana will come out (Diana wasn’t human) and ruin the Lizard Overlords plan for world domination.
.
Sb – have you tried a kitchen sieve instead of tin-foil? You can pull your hair through the holes so that you look completely normal – if a little punky.
.
.
PS – BBC!! – have you seen the other cock-ups with nukes? Scary shit…

I am just kidding but in my mind B-52’s are first and foremost a shot, then a band, then missiles

very scarey shit-and those are the people running this country…i think i need to move….
and the problem with a kitchen seive is that the radio waves can get through the little holes…
thats why you just put the foil INSIDE the hat..that way you don’t look like a loony. even if you are one..
B-52’s are first and foremost a band in my mind..than planes xD

@BBC!!
“and the problem with a kitchen seive is that the radio waves can get through the little holes…”
.
Actually, a sieve would work on the same principle as the grating on the window in a microwave oven. The radio waves have a large enough wavelength that they will hit the metal and because a photon in that part of the spectrum has low energy, it will be absorbed. Most radio waves have longer wavelengths than microwaves and sieves have smaller holes for the radiation to pass through.
.
Much earlier it was stated that a plane crash would set of a nuclear bomb; this is also false. A very percise sequence of events must occur to set off a nuclear bomb, and simply falling a few thousand feet in massive fireball won’t do it (unless somebody pushes the big red button while it’s falling a few thousand feet in a massive fireball…).
.
Sorry if I’m being to technical. Oh and, Pam, I wanted to contribute my post 747 medal with accompanying 1-way airline flight to your fund, but it seems FedEx lost it… I’ve talked to the airlines, just say my name and they’ll take care of the rest. :)

BBC!! – it’s safest to assume I’m being a tit :D
.
“…the problem with a kitchen seive is that the radio waves can get through the little holes…”
.
No way! I’d be stark raving Bush if not for my trusty sieve. Don’t forget to cover your penis with tin foil too as it can act as an antenna for some of the low frequency mind control rays. At least mine seems to have a mind of it’s own.

No mate – The missiles were Cruse Missiles loaded under the wings of B52 bombers.

Ah shit – sorry BBC!! I gave you an antenna by accident. You still have one but it can only pick-up high frequencies.

hey out of curiosity who is the “Mike” the FSM mentions in the 8th i’d really rather you didn’t. why does he love this mike? is Mike some piratic prophet not mentioned? so to my fellow pastafarians, ONE GOLD COIN TO WHOEVER FINDS OU THE EXISTENCE OF THIS ENIGMATIC “MIKE”
“I’d really rather you didn’t do unto others as you would have them do unto you if you are into, um, stuff that uses a lot of leather/lubricant/Las Vegas. If the other person is into it, however (pursuant to #4), then have at it, take pictures, and for the love of MIKE, wear a CONDOM! Honestly, it’s a piece of rubber. If I didn’t want it to feel good when you did it I would have added spikes, or something.”
who is he??

@Wench Cyka – A pirate should have a dagger of his own! Sizes will vary, but a pirate should never leave home with out.

I recently read and article “Environmental Effect of Increase Levels of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide” by Robinson, Robinson, and Soon of Oregaon Institute of Science and Medicine. This article indicates that global warming is occuring independent of the carbon dioxide level. Compelling stuff.
.
My personal theory is that global warming is caused by the over abundance of people on this rock we call a planet. Either that or we are going to have an ice age in around 3000 years from now.

@ alchemist – haha its ok no worries mate.
US football is the one i was thinking of but the real one (otherwise known as soccer) isn’t that great either. i mean US football is a bunch of guys in tight pants (i have nothing against guys in tight pants {in fact i like guys in tightish pants ;D }but it helps my point so) grabbing each other and rolling around on a grassy field…i mean common people..
american(s) (men) are unbelivabley obsessed with football.. -.- so stupid.
don’t even get me started on wrestling..
.
oh i have a dagger of my own alright…actually its a bayonet but it works as a dagger :D
.
haha i got mistaken for Boy George tonight.. xD sweet!!!i was rather pleased..as i didn’t have a name for my costume..
