Okay, it’s great to have a bit of a laugh, and I did when I read the bit about ‘our God having bigger balls than yours’ but I think you guys are taking it too far.
10 million people? Get real. No-one believes in that crap. Your only supporters are atheists, which means they don’t believe in a God.
Academic endorsements? You don’t need a PhD to understand God. Having a PhD does not mean that you can make judgements about God and religion, put them in a box and say “this is God”. No-one can do that.
Also, don’t you think that you might be offending some people? Openly discriminating another religion is not regarded as a decent thing to do. This is not the Crusades. Get with the times. We Christians don’t openly insult other religions on web pages, nor do they against us. There is nothing wrong with having a joke without poking fun at others.

I’m not even going to try and counter your theories, because I don’t need to, they’re so stupid.

this is what a person must believe to be elected president of the USA.

I find this an interesting thing to say, coming from a Christian. The Christian faith had demonized, marginalized, and discriminated against other religions for centuries and still does today. Hence the need to convert people, if you aren’t discriminating why is this necessary. Why do you need to be saved to go to heaven, if it isn’t discrimatory? It may not be the Crusades anymore but you really couldn’t tell by the religous doctines of some of the Christian faiths. I actually get tired of Christians being so pissy about people attacking their beliefs when they attack others on a daily basis. For those who believe in the divinity of Christ most of you don’t follow his teachings very well, if at all.
First, Catholicism is the predominant religion in the US. Although it regards itself as Christian, it is not. Initially it was Christian, but around the time of Constantine, it began to corrupt itself and is now regarded as a Cult. There is nothing biblical about what they teach. Anyone who knows anything about history and the church know that the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition were the actions of the Roman Catholic Church - NOT Christians. They did these things in the name of God, just as the Muslims blow people up in the name of God. Yes, religion is probably the number one reason for most wars. But herein lies the problem. Religion is a system of do’s and don’ts, whereas Christianity - TRUE Christianity - is a relationship. Religion says “Do this!” where as Christianity says “It is already done!” or in Christ’s words, “It is finished!” Religion is man reaching up to God, whereas Christianity is God reaching down to man. Christianity isn’t a religion, but many professing “Christians” try to turn it into such. Just because someone calls themselves a Christian does not make it so.

Second, science and archeology continually prove the authenticity of the Bible. Anyone who pays attention to history and archeology knows this to be a fact. Now, let’s state a few proofs from science. Years ago, this is what “science” believed (because they didn’t trust the Bible): the earth was flat; only 1,100 stars; earth sat on a large animal; science was ignorant on the subject of invisible elements in creation; all stars were the same; light was fixed in a place; air was weightless; winds blew straight; sick people must be bled (how one of the Presidents died); the ocean floor was flat; ocean fed only by rivers and rain; hands washed in still water. This is what science knows today: the earth is a sphere (Isaiah 40:22); incalculable number of stars (Jeremiah 33:22); free float of earth in space (Job 26:7); creation made of invisible elements - atoms (Hebrews 11:3); each star is different (1 Corinthians 15:41); light moves (Job 38:19-20); air has weight (Job 28:25); winds blow in cyclones (Ecclesiastes 1:6); blood is the source of life and health (Leviticus 17:11); ocean floor contains deep valleys and mountains (2 Samuel 22:16; Jonah 2:6); ocean contains springs (Job 38:6); when dealing with disease, hands should be washed under running water (Leviticus 15:13). Bear in mind that the Bible was written 2,000 to 3,000 years ago. Would you like to debate more “science” versus true science and the Bible? If anyone can prove that intelligent design is wrong, I’ll give you $10,000.
Let’s look at more TRUE scientific facts. I’ll state them real quick: the sun is burning off tons of gas every day, the moon is moving away from the earth, and the earth is slowing down. If you look up the rate at which the sun is burning off gas per day, and multiply it by not even 1,000,000 years, at one point the sun would have been SO big that it would have touched the earth. I know how the dinosaurs died… If you take the rate at which the moon is moving away from the earth, and multiply it not even by 1,000,000 years, at one point the moon was just hovering over the waters on Earth. I know how the dinosaurs died…they got mooned. You half the distance you quadruple the effect. Learn your laws, people. If you take the rate at which the earth is slowing down, and multiply it not even by 1,000,000 years, at one time the earth would have been spinning at a tremendous rate. The dinosaurs would have been thrown into space. I had some “genius” try to tell me once that the gravity would have been increased. NO, it would not have. Study a merry-go-round some time in your life. The faster that thing goes, you do not get sucked toward the center. You are thrown off. You can learn some great science from a merry-go-round.

Third, there is no such thing as an atheist. “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” In order to be an atheist, you would have to know everything about everything. You don’t even know half of everything. Do you know how many hairs are on the back of a Tibetan yak? Do you know how many grains of sand there are on the combined islands of Hawaii? Then you have to admit that you are an agnostic (a meaning “no” and gnosis meaning “knowledge), because you don’t know if there is a God. However, your own conscience bears you witness that there is indeed a God. If there is a building, though you don’t know who the builder is, it is logical (yes, I know, most people don’t study logic anymore) to state it had a builder. If there is a painting, though you don’t know who painted it, it is logical to state it had a painter. If there is creation, though you don’t know who created it, it is logical to state it has a Creator.
What would you think if I told you that the car you drive was not made? That it simply appeared that way out of nothing? You’d call me crazy, right? The fact of the matter is that evolution is a religion. In fact, it takes more faith to believe in it than it does for me to believe in God. I’d like to make an interjection here and suggest that you look up the word “theory,” because many of you are ignorant in the things you accept, and they’re all labeled as “theories.” Look at the Pangaea Theory. We’re taught that all the continents used to be attached and then they drifted apart. Yet, they show us images that reveal the ocean floor and how it connects one continent with the next continent (if you want to talk about the plates, I’d be glad to correct your false understanding there, too). My ignorant friend, the continents are STILL attached to each other. The parts you see above water are NOT floating islands that drifted apart.
Let us look further at the beliefs behind the Evolution Theory. First, text books tell us that “billions” of years ago there was nothing. They state NOTHING means NOTHING. Everyone get that? Then they tell us that all the dust and dirt in the galaxy came together to form a ball smaller than a period on your page. Hmm… First question, where did all the dust and dirt come from? Nothing means nothing, remember? Second question, what made it come together? Where did the Laws that govern our universe come from and why aren’t they evolving? Next, it tells us that the ball began spinning faster and faster until it exploded, thus, we have our universe. Third question, how is it that we have planets and moons spinning and traveling backwards? Anyone who has studied TRUE science knows that an object in motion, for pieces to fly off that object will continue in the same direction until they encounter resistance. Remember, nothing means nothing. They could not bump into each other because the further out they go, the further apart they are from each other.
Another stupid belief of evolution is that you guys believe you evolved from a rock. A few of you will try and argue here, but go and read your books. The earth was a big ball of fire that slowly cooled down and hardened into a rock. Then the rain came and made oceans and from the oceans came life. If it was a ball of flame, nothing could live on it. As it cooled and became a rock, there would still be no life. Where would the rain come from? What created all those laws? How would life come out of the water when there was no life to begin with? You believe you evolved from a rock. Explains why some of your heads are so thick.

Fourth, if you have people supporting this site claiming to be “Christians,” you can be sure they are not. If they are, then they don’t KNOW very much but rather BELIEVE a great deal. They might want to study more so that they can KNOW rather than BELIEVE. A great majority of what they THINK they know, they only BELIEVE, such as the evolution theory, the Pangaea theory, etc. What I KNOW and what I BELIEVE walk hand in hand because it is truth. For those of you who claim to be Christians, belief in God does not save. Satan believes in God. If you are truly a Christian, it will be revealed in your fruits. The Bible tells you to EXAMINE yourself against Scripture to see if you are in the faith. 1 John is an excellent place to start. “If you’re acting like this, you’re a Christian. If you’re acting like this, you’re of the devil.” Check your fruits. Are you able to love in spite of what might be said or done to you? Are you able to show mercy to those who deserve otherwise? Are you able to show grace to those who don’t deserve it? Are you able to obey Christ’s commandments (John 14:15)? How do you measure up against the fruits of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a and Galatians 5:22-23? Are you walking in holiness? Are you becoming imitators of God or conforming to the world? There will be many people who profess to be believers who will approach Christ on that day and say, “Lord, Lord, did I not love in your name? Did I not go to church? Did I not tithe? Did I not attend youth rallies? Did I not do this or do that?” And Christ will look at them and say, “Why do you call me Lord and not do what I say? Depart from me, you who lived as though I never gave you a law to obey.” This also goes for all those who claim to be “Christian” that stumble across this website and others like it and write responses that lack love, mercy and grace as evidence of your Christianity. Why are you offended by what they write? While it may be directed at you, their offense is against God. Did you not read what David wrote? “Against You, and You only, have I sinned.”
For people like Nicole who claim to be “Christians” and say they are “holding back from cussing at you,” how are you being a representative of Jesus Christ? How are you showing the love, mercy and grace of God? Do you not know that Scripture says “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouths”? Read what 1 John 3:4-10 says. We are the light of the world. All eyes are on us. When they see us or hear us, what do our words and actions say about us? What do they say about whom we are trying to be like? Don’t say things like “I’m not perfect. I’m a sinner like everybody else.” While it is true, that is a human excuse. Repent and change your ways. Walk with God and strive to conform to the image of Christ.

Fifth, the Bible is supernatural in origin. It consists of 66 books that were written over a time period of 4,000 years by more than 40 authors, inspired by God, who never knew each other. The central theme is the same throughout - Jesus Christ. Every word from beginning to end agrees with every other word. There are no contradictions in Scripture whatsoever. If anyone wants to challenge me on this, I will eagerly await your attempt. There are only APPARENT contradictions to fool’s eyes. Anyone willing to study it out will prove themselves in error. Both biblical and secular history agree, for anyone who dares look into it. Therefore, take heed to the Bible’s promise of Heaven and warning of Hell. Let’s see if you qualify to enter Heaven: Have you ever lied (even once - fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything - the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, “Whoever looks upon another person, to lust after them, has already committed adultery with them in their heart.” Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said “Yes” to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. That’s how God sees you. God HATES you (Psalm 5:5). Nothing is hid from His holy eyes. So, will you be found guilty or innocent on the Day of Judgment (Scripture says that after death comes judgment, there is no purgatory)? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell.
But that is not God’s will. He provided a way for you to be forgiven. He sent His Son to take your punishment: “God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” He bore your sins on His body upon the cross that was meant for you. The cup He prayed three times that the Father would let pass from Him contained all the wrath, anger and hatred of Almighty God toward sinners. Jesus Christ was bruised for your iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death, giving us hope: “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
If you don’t want to spend an eternity in Hell, separated from God for eternity, suffering in the constant reminder of your sin for eternity, then pray something like this: “Dear God, I know that I am a sinner deserving of eternal punishment for the sin I’ve committed against You. I repent of my sins (name them), turning from them and to You. This day I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read (see John 14:21). God will never let you down.

Study history, my friend. There is oodles of proof regarding the existence of Jesus Christ. In fact, I’ll recommend the book called Josephus. This man was a Jewish historian. The book is secular history. Here is what he had to say in his book:

Look up the history of every man-made religion that has ever existed and it will give you the name of the man who made it up and the date that it was made up. Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc. Christianity has no such date. The term “Christian” means “Christ follower.” The disciples of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch. This term was used derogatorily. Christ said Himself, “If they hate you, they hated me first. If they hate me, they will hate you.”

Look throughout all of history at the men and women who were ready and willing to die in Jesus’ name. This proves the authenticity of the claims of Christ. If it was not real, these men and women would not go to death singing joyfully, as history reveals they did. They would have renounced their faith immediately on penalty of death. These people were martyrs. They were killed AGAINST their wills because of their beliefs. This indicates how false the Cult of the Muslims is. They are not martyrs for their faith. They blow themselves up willingly and blow up others with them, who are usually Christians because Muslims hate Christians.

Here’s another fact of history you might want to study. Any time freedom of men was fought for, it was done by CAUCASIAN Christians. That is not a racial statement. It is a historical fact. More facts. The only reason things like orphanages, universities, and hospitals exist is because they were started by CHRISTIANS. Study history, people.

Christians have never discriminated against any religions. Try studying the various religions today and apply logic to what they teach. You will find that they fall drastically short of the mark. If you want to believe in a Flying Spaghetti Monster and that the sun is purple, that’s entirely your choice. However, it is a Christian’s duty to show you the illogical reasoning behind your beliefs and try to convert you to the truth. If your heart is hardened to the truth and you refuse to accept it, then that “Christian” should not beat you over the head. That “Christian” should read the Bible regarding Christ’s encounter with the rich man who asked how to receive eternal life. When the rich man walked away, Christ didn’t run him down and beat him to try and change his mind. When the Pharisees said awful things about Christ and offended Him, He didn’t yell and scream and cuss at them. Men are at enmity against God, as Scripture says. Not everyone is open to the truth. Why do you, so-called “Christian,” try and do what Christ never did? Share the TRUE gospel in love, with mercy and grace, and if the person is not receptive, then walk away, but remember to pray for them. As long as it takes, for the rest of your life, if need by, pray for them. “Some plant, some water, but GOD gives the increase.”

If you people are going to try and make claims against God, Jesus Christ, the Bible, or Christianity, please back it up with logical, consistent and supportive evidence. Thus far, everything I have read on this site is easily crushed. But then again, anything you try to come up with will be easily crushed as well. History, science, archeology, manuscripts, prophecies, statistics, and even creation itself support the Bible 100% and prove its authenticity. Maybe you should be studying some of these things. Please don’t be ignorant toward them. Life is not meaningless. You were created for a purpose. It’s not too late to be saved from your sin and the penalty of that sin. “For the wages of sin is death.” “There is ONE name under heaven whereby men need to be saved.” That name is Jesus Christ. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.” “Today is the day of salvation.” Tomorrow may be too late.

Furthermore, I suggest you study history and the church because Christians have been undergoing persecution since the time of Christ, and are still undergoing persecution today by people like yourself and the false religions. They try to save your soul, and you “feel” as if they are discriminating against you. Yet you are oblivious to the fact that day in and day out you are consistently discriminating and persecuting them because of your hardened heart. You don’t like that fact that these people love you and are concerned for your eternal welfare, telling you that you are a sinner and are going to Hell unless you accept the free gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ, so you persecute them. Your conscience bears you witness that you are an evil person, yet you refuse to face it and so you mock and ridicule and discriminate and persecute the Christians.

True, not all Christians act as they are supposed to, but then again not all who claim to be Christians truly are. That has been one of Satan’s greatest victories: “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.” Everyone walks around calling themselves a Christian nowadays, yet there is no evidence that they are indeed (see my first post above). Some are just ignorant to what it means to be Christian. But if you want the facts, look at history. More Christians have been persecuted throughout history than every other religion put together. The world says and does nothing against the other religions because man loves the false. But man hates the truth and so the world over attacks Christianity.

In the time of Nero, they would take Christians from their homes, tie them to posts on either side of the roads, cover them in pitch, and light them on fire as lights for Nero’s parties. They would gut animals, sew Christians up inside them and toss them to hungry lions. They would make Christians fight in gladiator arenas where they were slaughtered. I could go on with more horrific acts done to Christians that would just make your stomach churn. You think what Hitler did to the Jews in the Holocaust was bad? You ain’t heard anything yet. This has been done and is STILL being done today to Christians. When has a Christian EVER did such things as these to any other person or person of a false religion?

I can name instances throughout history where false religions such as Catholicism (who pray to Mary — “There is ONE mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ.” — not Mary, not the Pope, not a priest), in the name of God (and sometimes Jesus), did horrific acts (the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, etc.). NEVER has a Christian did any such act. Most these acts are done by world religions such as Humanism, Communism, Evolution, etc. Look at Stalin and Hitler as examples. Hitler was a devote Catholic who believed heavily in Evolution. Where you believe that one “race” has “evolved” further than the other, there is no respect for humanity. If you believe you’re an animal, you’re going to act like an animal.

You can remain ignorant to the facts if you want, “feeling” that Christians are discriminating against you because they love you and want to save your soul, and because your conscience bears witness that the things you do are wrong and evil, but the truth is that such horrific events have never befallen any other people group more than it has the Christians. The proof is out there, and the truth is out there. It’s up to you whether you will accept it or not.

For someone who states that their faith is not a religion you preach a lot. I’m sure many events in the bible are backed up by science, after all there are events mentioned of great historical importance. However even more has been discounted and shown to be a crock (virgin birth, the age of the earth, heaven above and hell below). If you read the bible it becomes apparent that your god likes all kinds of nasty shit. Jesus was a pacifist but it is only in the gospel of others that he is referred specifically as the son of god, rather then the more general sense that is used in church.
You preach about god communing with you. How does this work?

Unfortunately a merry-go-round lacks sufficient mass to attract anything noticeable.
You attempt at fiddling with numbers is not a representation of how the world works. We have things that increase exponentially; the sun would have reach way beyond the earth at one point, well done for noticing; however it would not have been the sun yet because it had yet to reach a level of compression that would start a thermonuclear chain reaction. That’s why it is the size it is and continues to burn flue. You seem to lack any understanding of science, but a reasonable grasp of basic math. But if you understood the facts you wouldn’t be a Christian.

First you call cathlocism a cult, im guessing catholics would dissagree and say the same thing about your veiw of jesus; but of course they’re wrong and you’re right.
Then you continue this attitude by stating the christianity (or your form thereof) is not a religion, and infer that it is truth. Again im sure all fundies in all religions feel the same way but of course they’re wrong and you’re right.
You bring up that ridiculous watchmaker arguement again. Australian Aboriginals believe that the geography of the world was created by a giant rainbow snake, because they could not fathom that mountains and rivers could be shaped by natural processes and assumed that they must have been designed by an intelligent being. Of course now we know the natural processes can cause great complexity and i hope in time you will realise that the same is true for evolution. Evolution does not state that creatures simply appear in the world fully formed (infact this is a creationist veiwpoint) and i think you need to pick up a biology textbook.
You also apparently dont ‘believe’ in continental drift and plate techtonics which is hillarious to me. Allow me to simplify it for you a bit. The world was formed lopsided with one landmass protruding through the oceans. this mass gradually spread out in the same way as clay on a pottery wheel will become more rounded by the force of spinning. No one (except you) thinks that continents float on water.
Then you go on about the big bang. I admit that i do not fully understand the theory but i am also aware that i am probably not intelligent enough to understand all the complexities of this theory even if it were explained to me. however, unlike you i know my limits and am happy to leave this theory to the likes of steven hawking who is vastly more intelligent than me and seems to have a good handle on the subject. In the same way i tend leave biology up to biologists, geology to geologists and meteorollogy to meteorologists (excuse spelling). I dont know enough about these subjects to give difinitive answers but i put my trust in them.
You also make a statement ‘If it [the earth] was a ball of flame, nothing could live on it.’ This is another example of you assuming that you know everything that is possible. How do you know that primordial life could not survive? The are some forms of bacteria that can survive in lava so it is entirely possible that life could be found on a new earth.

In the second post you say ‘Christians have never discriminated against any religions.’ I have an uncle how works in a psychiatric ward as a nurse and he deals with people who have self-satisfying theories. These run along the lines of “I believe that god talks to me and it must be true because god said it was.” Of course it is nearly impossible to convince this sort of people that they are wrong. In the same way you satisfy your ‘Christians have never discriminated against any religions’ theory because you simply have the definition that Christians dont discriminate against other religions. and because ‘Not everyone who claims to be a christian is one’ apparently you get to determine who is and who isn’t to suit yourself.
You then claim that science supports the bible and im sure my fellow pastafarians will have endless fun tearing that statement to shred so i will simply say that your bibble is so vague you can twist it anyway you want.
The first paragraph of your third post is utter gibberish, so allow me to rephrase it;
I suggest you study history and the CoFSM because pastafarians have been undergoing persecution since the time of the first midget, and are still undergoing persecution today by people like yourself and the false religions. They try to save your soul, and you “feel” as if they are discriminating against you. Yet you are oblivious to the fact that day in and day out you are consistently discriminating and persecuting them because of your hardened heart. You don’t like that fact that these people love you and are concerned for your eternal welfare, telling you that you are a sinner and are going to Hell unless you accept the free gift of the good side of the afterlife from The Noodly Lord, so you persecute them. Your conscience bears you witness that you are not a very nice person, yet you refuse to face it and so you mock and ridicule and discriminate and persecute the Pastafarians.
I did not fully understand many of the references to you bible because i have not read it (there are much better fiction writers out there, Terry Pratchett for one) though i dont think that is going to be a problem as im sure my fellow pastafarians will enjoy shredding those arguement. I believe Penn and Teller put it best when they said that the bible contains equal amounts of fact, history and pizza.

Contrary to your baseless assertions, christians did a lot of nasty things to the Moslem population of the Middle East - and for many years. Read THEIR history of the period and it was far from a glorious, holy and righteous war.
