Why sir do you dislike Christians so much

Why sir do you dislike Christians so much that you would create a site willed with such sarcasm and spite? I appologize for all the “Christians” who have found their way onto your hate mail section of your page. Thier actions are not representations of Christ-like living. I mainly just want to know what it is that spurred your actions?

-Ryan

Note from Bobby: I don’t dislike Christians or the religion of Christianity. I dislike dogma and formalism. And I dislike that subset of Christians who push their beliefs on others. And especially those who do this in our schools and government, and then claim that’s not what they’re doing. We are not stupid.

It is! I can’t belive it. Me, little Dror from Jerusalem, grew to have the first response to something in the FSM site. I’m deeply excited.

I haven’t seen anything in this website that is particularly against the christian faith, but that may be because I wasn’t raised as a fundementalist christian nut.

Yes Sparrow, although the sport of claiming first post became less popular some time ago. But welcome to the church of the FSM anyway. Any chance you could convert your fellow country men in Israel plus the neighbours to Pastafarianism to give the region a bit of a rest perhaps?

Well, changes tage time to pass all the way across the atlantic ocean. I’ve been a pastafarian for almost two years, and I’ve even converted some of my friends. Unfortunately, people here are too concentrated on other things to notice his noodly appendage. Maybe a flying hummus monster will do the trick.

As I see this, FSM doesn’t interfere with any religion. It only makes fun of those who claim religion had anything to do with science or that science is a kind of religion!
Science a religion! As far as I know, science is just a tool to figure things out. To say, science is a matter of faith is like saying, you have to believe in a microscope to make it work!
So the real FSM is not against any spirituality, just against dumb fundies.

i like this hate mail. it’s actually well written, and without too much hatred. it’s like the hate mail you find when this site first began, but with little insight. but still, if the others aren’t representatives of christ-like living, why are they mailing in the name of christ? it seems ryan is a minority here.

    .
My views on the people who make up religions, you know, the general followers or congregations…sometimes I feel sorry for them, other times I am frustrated at their inablility to see reality, and many times I just think they are sheep, allowing their lives to be controlled by which ever particular brand of evil they allow into their lives.

Why do ya’ll create such an odd religion. This is a complete disgrace to God. All you have achieved is to capture and make a place in hell for someone looking for truth. Why would you chose something edible as a god. The true God is the lord. You claim to be saved people, yet you drink, and cuss on your sight. Repent and ask God for forgiveness.

I hate Christians because they believe I’m destined to be damned, to spend an eternity suffering in Hell. I’d hate anyone who thinks that of me.

As for the Christians who send hate-mail being unlike Christ, okay. But what about all the heinous destruction and vitriol contained in the other parts of the Bible? Or do you just pick and choose the elements of your religion that most suit the argument at hand? Is it not hateful to instruct a man to kill his own son?

  47. 47 - anonymous - Aug 20th, 2007

I think it’s necessary to gently correct apastate’s impression that Christians believe that he is “destined to be damned and spend eternity in hell.”
A true Christian does not believe this at all. A true Christian should believe Jesus Christ’s words when he said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” This verse, which you probably have heard, John 3:16, asserts that that God loves the WORLD, not just those who are “destined” to believe. Furthermore, it states the foundation of Christianity – that God gave us a gift, and all that is needed is acceptance of that Gift. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Any “Christian” who believes that people are destined to be damned, without hope, is not a Christian at all.

Furthermore, God instructed Abraham to sacrifice Isaac as a prophetic depiction of God sacrificing His Son. Ultimately, God provided a ram for the sacrifice, and Abraham did not sacrifice his son. And, God rewarded Abraham for his great faith. This is not a story of hate.
Never in the Bible are children made into burnt offerings for the Lord.

Also, there is no “getting drunk part of the gospel”. None of the four gospel accounts endorses being drunk.

    .
So, anonymous, you are saying that guys like jeffry dommer are going to heaven because they believe in god. Nice. I would rather be in hell or in the FSM heaven with the beer volcanoes and the stripper factory.
    .
In the bible, god turns children into salt in the story of Sodam and Gamorra (FSM my spelling sucks after a 12 hour shift at work). While the story does not specifically identify children, you would think that a city would have some and only Lott makes it out alive.

How does anonymous explain the one where the guy throws his daughter to the gang of rapists? It’s in Judges or Revelations or Apacolypse Now (no wait, that was a good war movie).

I heard that the overly gratuitously violent and bloody, Passion.. was the most popular Christian movie of all time. There are also millions waiting to be raptured up. It’s not just silly, it’ a dangerous attitude and makes your neighbors kind of uneasy, and even a little pissed at times.

Chrisianity, Judaism, Islam, etc. will all someday be looked back on as we “enlightened” modern humans look back on Greek and Roman mythology. Their gods were a lot more interesting I have to say. Some of ‘em were quite hot, even with their missing arms and such.

FSM with his wee beady eyes and beautiful flowing noodly appendages. Touch me, touch me, oh noodly one!

So, I want to be a pastafarian. What do I have to do, be baptised in a nice pesto? Wait to be visited by little flying acini di pepe fairies?

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
