I understand that FSM was created to prove a point of Intelligent Design. I understand why it was and can state, even as a Christain that it would be unfair to both the students and other belief systems that teachhing one way of creation would be wrong. Also understand that a lot of people claiming to be christains are not. I know that the “followers” of FSM get angry with “christains” that come on to their site and start to badger what FSM stands for. I understand and respect the purpose of FSM, however we do not need anymore religion bashers out there. I think people should also be a little more understanding of 7th graders (Rude Discrace) and not act like 7th graders (El pectieablo).I just want Christians coming to this site to realize that we are representing our God and not to act like bullies(after all that is that exact opisite of what being christ like is) and followers of FSM hope you understand that we are all human and sometimes are rather ignorant…Well I have said my peace and I hope it will change something.

Hello Me! Nice to here from someone with a bit more of a level head.
However we seem to have become more than opponents of ID. Religion is full of flaws, inconsistencies and contradictions. It ignores the progression of science and the application of logic and reason. Plus most not only advocate the killing of people like us in their teachings, but demand it. I will always question the morality of anyone claiming theirs is derived from the bible, because to truly do that would make you an abomination against humanity.
Ok, apart from that little tantrum in a temple you can say Jesus was a good sort, other individual who are meant to provide a moral role modal are total barstards. The best example would be Mosses who, and it right there in the bible, is worst than Hitler.
I promote reason and understanding. If there is a god he must want us to question his existence or he wouldn’t have given us the ability to do so.
See it’s things like this that invalidate the point of most hate mailers, especially the ones who tell us god loves us but we will burn in hell anyway. Or that strictly speaking Christians aren’t allowed to eat pork according to scripture but do so anyway, which by their own logic would see them go to hell as they are totally unrepentant about it. Yet have ago at people who just like pasta?

If someone was to make a rational argument for the validity of their religion using reasoning and logic we would listen. But as religion is not compatible with reason or logic this has yet to happen, but I still hold out hope.

Trust me i under stand the whole Christians are cruel so thier God must be too, i truely do understand. As far as Science vs. Bible thats a hard battle. Science is constanly changing and cant explain everything, example how dolphins swim so fast, how the buble bee flies, ect. Not to mention the many flaws in the big bang theory.

Good evening everybody. First of all I would like to say that most of you seem to be witty and this site is very entertaining. Pluto and I were just discussing beliefs; and he said I lied to him by telling him there was a big fat man who would sneak into his bedroom once a year wearing a red suit and leave him gifts, (better a ficticious one I say!) and if he has children he thinks he will tell them the truth – which would obviously leave them sitting in the corner with the Jehovahs witness children whilst everyone else has a good time. I did suggest he could celebrate mid winter with them – you must eat a lot, drink and carous a lot to send back the darklness. As our early ancestors declined to give up an annual party, the day was turned into Christmas. (I hope you will all respect the beliefs of others by marking December in a similar fashion). I understand many of you have probably got children, and all of you are or were children, so what do you tell your children? I thought I was doing the right thing, and lets face it, if Pluto had gone into infant school saying there is no Santa, he would have been as popular as the clap! (Of course I would have been better off). Please advise Pluto

I also know to be human is to error. The sad thing is many people have used God as an excuse to do awful things, however you cant blame God for people’s actions. I find even atheist/ agnostics have done very wrong things. I am sorry if someone that was a christian may have hurt you, but you cant blame God. Human nature is to destroy people have had millions of excuses, but if you read the bible the only 2 RULES to follow is to love one another and to love God. How can you argue with that? I have never heard anyone say it is wrong to love, and true christianity is all about love. As far as evil things done in the name of God, or God’s will, well I guess you have to take a step back and question, did it better humanity? If not why would a God who created man want to destroy them? No he wouldnt. He wants a relationship with his creation, not seperation and destruction. Pluto’s mum, we celebrate the birthday of St Nicholas at the 5th of december. I knew at 4 that it wasn’t real (the different beards gave him away). But I still loved getting presents, giving presents and writing little poems to go with them (thats traditional).

So when very young I wouldn’t say anything, later if necessary you might tell them. They probably already figured it out anyway. They’ll still enjoy the gifts, great food, general fun!

Regardless of why they didn’t eat pork it was a commandment of their religion. At no point in the New Testament does it say it’s ok to eat it again. The reason circumcision was abandoned was because the Greek’s that the wayists wanted to convert didn’t want to do it. Which brings me to another point; Jesus Christ is a Greek name (Jesus being a Latin name and Christ being the ancient Greek equivalent of Messiah. This would mean your not even praying to the right dead guy.

@ Iron Bess- Leave it he’s not worth it! Oh and read the ‘Cartoon History of the Universe’, it’s one of the best books ever written and the one that made up my mined. It has a lot more power then most would people give credit at a glance. I had 2 out of 3 volumes, now done to1 but will have all 3 soon.
In fact all of you should read it and those with children should read it with them. One of the best things you can do for their education.
