I find this sad

I find this sad. And this is coming from a 14 year old girl that has been raised as a Christian. This is stupid. If you wanted to attract attention then do something else. But make up a religion and trying to find information to back it up is just sad. I wonder how you even thought about such thing. Was you bored in your room or something? I wonder how your parents think about this. And honestly why would you want kids or young adults to learn about such thing? Do you want to brain wash them or something with your made up theory? Seriously, just drop the whole thing & find something else to do.

Good day, anonymous

As far as I know we don’t have an liturgy to speak of. We’re not that kind of religion.
    We do however have linguine!

Well, I am a 13 year old girl and no, I honestly do not think that God is pasta. I doubt there’s a god at all. But this movement was invented for the purpose of showing people (namely, Kansas) that if you want Christianity or any other unscientific theories taught in school, you have to include anyone capable of suing you, even if they worship pasta. This idea I support. My parents raised me telling me that I could believe anything I wanted, and this makes the most sense to me. I’m going to enjoy my heavenly strippers.

Ha! I love this comment! Of course this is stupid, which is why its hilarious! If you had any sense at all that it is satiring religion! Whats the difference between God and a Flying Spaghetti Monster?!?! And an alien named Xenu who is the creator in scientology, spreading rapidly around the world! There is no difference between this religion and any other! It was all made up at some point and nothing you can say can prove any different! Your brainwashed into religion when you are born, its up to you to sift through it and find out what you really believe. As for me, the Flying Spaghetti monster makes about as much sense as anything else because its all a load of crap! YOUR THE STUPID ONE!

Right, first off, im not religious, not at all. I dont give a crap and i think its all made up bollocks for people who are to scared to believe we are alone. But your talking about brain washing. You actually say that you have been raised as a Christian, and I’m pretty sure that if you were raised as a Jew you would believe that Christianity was just as stupid as FSM, but you dont dare question that. You have no proof except a book and stories about your belief. Please just think about the stupidity of Christianity, of every single religion, and realise that if there is such a thing as a God, then there could be such a thing as a Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Think your life through now, because trust me, your going to hate it when you realise that its all made up.

I think you’re saying that the teachings of Jesus in the Bible are good moral guidance.
He is certainly the better end of it.
There’s a lot more to the Bible than that.
Are you defending part of it or the whole?
I’ve already accepted that the Bible isn’t all bad. But overall it can’t be described as good moral guidance because of the dangerous ideas it contains and people get from it.
I don’t think John 8:1-12 is good moral guidance.
    .
Taken literally no one in the modern world (excluding Islam in that) needs to be told that stoning adulterers to death is wrong. Even though killing the man and the woman it is expressly and emphatically mandated in Leviticus 20:10.
    .
Taken allegorically it doesn’t explain why accusing people is bad it just scares them off. That isn’t good moral guidance. Jesus needs to explain why you shouldn’t go round ‘pointing the finger’ at people and how in a liberal society tolerance of other peoples faults allows for a more free, open and happier society.
    .
There’s an implied (and it is implied) argument of don’t accuse or you’ll be next which is a basis of fear.
The John 8:1-12 is also based in such an extreme circumstance (stoning someone to death) that the horror of the story is likely to obscure it’s message.
    .
John 8:1-12 is not good moral guidance and leaves a lot of questions unanswered that detract from its message.
Why should the person without sin cast the first stone? What is the reasoning for that? Where is it in the law? What is Jesus writing in the sand? Is Jesus expressly rescinding the mosaic laws or is this an isolated incident. That is, he’s the son of God and may be allowed to forgive, can I? Am I allowed not to stone people? etc.
You need to write more clearly using everyday examples and explanation to give moral guidance.
John 8:1-12 is just too confusing.

This is a refreshing and hilarious look at what constitutes a religion.
For those of you in a religion that combines “Choir Boys” with “Pediphile Priests” ….and has a history of Crusades (and killing) for those who don’t choose the Peace and Love of Christianity…. or when the killing of doctors justifies your religious stance on pro-life….
…I would think understanding the concept of IRONY should be a mandatory pre-requisite in the teaching of your religion. GET A CLUE….ACQUIRE A SENSE OF HUMOR!!!

There are religions much older than Christianity that have gods just as bizarre as Him (may we all be touched by his Noodly Apppendage). Snake-headed, twenty-armed, fire-breathing dieties were around before Yahweh was ever dreamed of. Is hate mail sent to them? They could have been discovered by single person, just as He was. In some parallel world, the existence of a Flying Spaghetti Monster could be widely accepted and Christianity could be considered ridiculous. It’s all a matter of perspective. I respect people of different faiths and devoutly wish that the same courtesy was extended to Pastafarians, Frisbeetarians, followers of the Invisible Pink Unicorn, and all those who worship modern, independently discovered gods as well as to those who follow mainstream religions.

All faiths have a common goal. Structure, conformity and a purpose. The structure gives you an acceptable guide to morals, standards and a respectable way of life. Conforming to the structure bonds you to others of the same believe, giving hope and ensures that you will never stand alone. This all leading to a purpose. Helping others, saving your self, your soul or whatever you believe in. Take that away and all social structures and morality will decay and collapse.

I’m from a part of the world where children are butchered and dismembered and there body parts used as medicine or for potions. Where in some parts it is still believed that if you kill your enemy and eat his heart before his blood runs cold, you will inherit his bravery, skills and knowledge. Where hole villages and towns men, woman and children are ruthlessly slathered without mercy because of there ethnicity.

Yes, this world exists and the rest of the world simply turns a blind eye. From the northern parts Africa right down to southern parts of Africa. In some regions, this is reality. When a man puts an AK 47 against you head and you can see in his eyes he just wants to pull the trigger. You don’t know his name and he doesn’t know yours but you know that he will pull the trigger because some corrupt warlord or politician said so. This is when you start praying. This is when you know who or what you believe in.

I hope you realize and appreciate how truly privileged you are for the lives you’ve been granted and I hope and pray that you known who or what you believe in for if you don’t believe, you are truly lost. But take heart, it is never too late.

In GOD our savior we trust.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
