Is the end near?

I did some analysis on global mean temperature vs. the number of pirates and have come to a startling conclusion: Pastafarianism will bring the next ice age!

As demonstrated in the attached graph, by extrapolating the data we find that only 135752 pirates would be required to bring about the next ice age. This number of converts is well within reach! We’re doomed!

The spam filter must be a bit confused I think. I tried using Tor when my posts kept dissapearing a few days back too…had no luck. No so long after (bout 10mins) I could post through all my browsers! Probably still tweaking :p)))

I wouldn’t worry about it, pirates are too tough to worry about a little cold.

Good news, everybody! The end does not come at 10.9 degrees Celcius, it comes at 0 degrees Kelvin. By extrapolating from the data above, I calculate that the Earth will be destroyed by the Galactic Pirate Frigate in the year 8,335,750 A.P.

Dudes and pastafarians alike….(why is pastafarians not in the spell check I mean Zoroastrians is and the FSM will have none of them…someone has to fix that) we must all party until the end of the world which, my friends, will be when the FSM eats the earth and takes us into a giant pirate ship which will then bring us to our beer volcanoes and stripper factories. This will happen when every man woman and child is a pastafarian!

wHAT’S THE PROCESS THE CONVERT TO A PIRATE ANYWAY?

Oops all caps must be a pirate thing?

  16. 396 Red Sonya Jul 16th, 2007 at 6:21 pm

It’s easy, first you have to dress like a Pirate, eye patch, cutlass etc. Then you have to drink grog, then you have to get a parrot, then you must get a motley crew, then build or steal a ship. Of course if you are a male pirate you have to get yourself a wench, if you are a female pirate you have to get yourself a stout pirate.
    .
Then sit back, go raiding to break up the doldrums, sing sea shanties and enjoy the Arrrrgh.

  17. 397 Rowdiest Wench Jul 16th, 2007 at 6:51 pm

@ Todd - Actually all caps is usually a fundie thing! But we’ll forgive you this time! :))) Red Sonya pretty much has the conversion process covered for you!

  18. 398 One-eyed Wonderkin Jul 16th, 2007 at 7:15 pm

@Todd - For me, being a pirate is about the pirate spirit and point of view. The trapping add to the fun. Ale, grog, wenches, and attitude (not necessarily in that order)are what makes me a pirate. Knowing when to listen to the captain and knowing when the captain needs to be replaced.
    .
Explore your inner pirate. Don’t be afraid to use “aye” or “wench to port” in your conversations.

I think the temperature will even itself out when we get enough members, probably to a comfy cool 70 degrees. Then the FSM will have enough energy to maintain something as simpole as the weather.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
