Is the end near?

I did some analysis on global mean temperature vs. the number of pirates and have come to a startling conclusion: Pastafarianism will bring the next ice age!

As demonstrated in the attached graph, by extrapolating the data we find that only 135752 pirates would be required to bring about the next ice age. This number of converts is well within reach! We’re doomed!

Thanks, Alchemist. I’m up walking around and taking nourishment, anyway. Hope things are good with you. I’ll surface again soon.

Hi All…how is life the universe and everything? Thank the FSM that it is Friday the holiest day of them all. Just started reading all about Pirates to People. Grab your eyepatches and your cutlasses, no wonder it’s in the high thirties all this week. They are saying it will go all the way up to 42 degrees by the end of the day. Grrrrr, I mean, Argggghhhhh.

Happy Dubya’s birthday, everyone. Please excuse me while I go throw up.

Dubya - the lead believer in ID.

I know a consultant that worked with Dubya during his first election run. He indicated that Dubya was the dumbest most arogant person that he had ever met. This guy consults to the Wall Street companies, so that is saying something.

  8. 368 Iron Bess Jul 6th, 2007 at 1:58 pm

Don’t you think it is scary that someone like Dubya and his family can steal the presidential election two terms in a row? And what is even more scary - there is another brother or two, waiting in the wings! So, the question is, what happened to natural selection? Is the FSM just playing with us and manipulating it so that idiots can be elected just to see us squirm?

Personally, I’ve always interpreted his facial expressions as being the reflection of the attitude of a person who desperately tries to understand what’s going on. Maybe the position of the eyes?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
