oh well. my company, soulland inc.™ also have a wide range of useful tools for dealing with fundies, including the fundiebuster3000, the only argument negator that comes with a faith vacuum, power steering and profanity detector, perfect to deal with fundies who just get too annoying to deal with personally.

Morning Nikkiee, if you are still here.
Hi Lady Octarine, do we know you?
By the way, we were all shortening our names down again in celebration of RECENT COMMENTS being back! (Although it is of course very lovely!)

  17. 17 ۞ Jun 23rd, 2007 at 2:20 am

    Short name restored!

I bet some of you Americans are regretting that whole independence thing as being a bit rash now!

  19. 19 Avatar of Reason Jun 23rd, 2007 at 2:31 am

It would be nice if we, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, made a similar decision.
    .
@۞: But the United States Constitution is so wonderfully quotable, as evidenced only a few lines up!

    Avatar,
    .
The declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights are fine documents.
You need to lose the bearing arms thing or at least re-interpret it in a way more appropriate for the modern world, but other than than that they are a brilliant attempt to establish a society based on freedom and equality including religious freedom and equality.

You really don’t spend enough time with your fore-fathers!

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
