JollyFish hat

At long last, the jollyfish scarf, which became a jollyfish hat, is finished. I’m giving it to my pal tonight when he comes over for festivities.

When you have recruited your pirate missionaries, you might want to think about organizing a knitathon. Sort of like the knitathons that go on for soldiers when we’re at war. Those pirates will need hats, particularly if they succeed, and the planet cools off again.

    @Knittingjuju
    “Recommend you download the chart, then hang around your local yarn store looking forlorn…. or waving cash around until some knitter takes pity on you…”

    Some heads just aren’t made for hats: mine isn’t either. Describing what I would look like with this model “couvre-chef” on would look like if I were trying to insult Knittingjuju. Which I’m not planning to do, why should I? Maybe I could download the chart and give it to somebody with a more suitable head…

    Why am I posting this anyway? Seems like it’s mostly Wenches posting here…

    for those whose heads don’t wear hats, the chart could easily be adapted to a bag of some sort . . . or placed on a sweater or sweater vest. Does his noodliness wear a sweater vest, i wonder?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
