    I wish we could all go! What a great opportunity it would be to see “real” pirate ships and also spread His Noodly Word!

    Lilith, that’s why the FSM invented dramamine and meclazine!! So that his beloved wenches could sail the seven seas!! So don’t worry about getting seasick :)

    @Ross
    I might want to join up if we can alter the destination a bit. Why go pillage a country where most of the booty would consist of smelly cheeses? Also, most pirates are more into beer than wine.

    I’ll join you, Ross! Pillaging is pillaging… I don’t care where! Besides, I’ve never been to France; sounds like a good place to start.

    Maybe we’ll find our missing RECENT COMMENTS in France when we go there! (We can hope!)

    Surely you should go pillage York (UK) first? That’s a traditional hit for the vikings onward - plus they have beer, I believe. And many wenches :’D

    Don’t bother waiting that long. Drink some grog, get your band of maruders and go out and steal a ship. Or buy one if you don’t want to get arrested. Hey, speaking of ships, When I read THE GOSPEL OF THE FSM and it said that our chruch was to be a pirate ship. Does anyone know where the ship is because I want to help and donate some $$.

    I live in Portland, and these were so cool to see. Way prettier than the Navy ships that dock here during the Rose Festival. (Not that there’s anything wrong with Navy ships. They just aren’t that attractive.)

    The weather was noticeably cooler when the ships were in town……..

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
