    @Nikkiee, Admiral Benbow
Welcome to CoFSM from me too Benbow. As Nikkiee said, nice name link.
    .
Like you I’m a bit doubtful about the admirals thing, Nikkiee. I don’t recall any pirate admirals. Blackbeard commanded a fleet of something like 5 vessels, but he was still just captain. Admirals make me think of those old Royal Navy bastards that have caused the hanging of so many of our fellow pirates. Let’s keep a careful eye on Benbow.

    .
I checked it out, put your stuff back and corrected two tiny thingies. Vandalism is a plague… Don’t worry: I’ve had a complete page replaced by the word “frog”, but an admin restored the stuff. Report the IP number of your vandal, and maybe an admin will block him.

    Cheers, matey.

A thought: how long should the list of “Recent comments” be? When our dear Aristotle gets inspired, he fills such list in no time with dreadful lovely one-liners, making it more or less useless. Or do we have to come here when no one-liner-soaperetta creator is awake?

so this is the second time i wrote this
it was completely done and then i accidently hit the escape key and erased it all. I let out a cry of rage and since right now I’m in school and doing some online “studying” I had to explain why i’m screaming in the middle of study hall.
So i’m going to try this again

So far my parents have kept their bargain but i don’t know how long its going to last

My sermon was roughly two minutes long and devoid of any mention of christian religion (but i did seek pirates in it)

Somehow the beady eyed old ladies found out that i broke out of their brainwashing spell and now every time i see them they refer to my “questions” and “doubts”

In other unrelated (or maybe related) news, during social studies we were randomly assigned a current event to right a page on.

I was randomly selected to recieve the “death of Jerry Falwell” (evangelic scumbag who tried to push anti abortion, antigay marriage, tigher “family values” and increased cencorship laws thru Congress)(this is where i pressed escape)
Could it be that the Old ladies (I think i’ll call them crones; it’s appropriate) are are trying to suck me back into the “flock”?

@ Lambic – “When our dear Aristotle gets inspired, he fills such list in no time with dreadful lovely one-liners, making it more or less useless.” RAmen to that! That is really quite annoying! I still like you Aris!
    .
@ thesorgo – “randomly selected” – perhaps not! Or perhaps it was the FSM offering you one more opportunity to blast the Xtians by showing what a nutjob Falwell was. He was so very unpopular with the pirates and wenches!
    .
@ DPG – RAmen and kudos to you for asking thesoro about this. Always brings us back to something worthwhile does our DPG! (not that laughing isn’t worthwhile, but you know what I mean!)

I think I’m going to be sick. Each link was worse than the one before it. What the hell is wrong with people? Ok, well, Weird Al’s “Amish Paradise” was on Godtube, and that does have some redeeming social value, but that’s all I could find at a quick glance.
    .
Maybe I’m the one who’s wrong. Maybe I should repent and change my evil ways. Maybe they have a point…..

To Saucy Wench… I don’t think it is the FSM who has forsaken us, I think it is Prophet Bobby who has been coerced by the Jehovah’s Witnesses or worse. But you have a very, very good point: if we don’t have our RECENT COMMENTS, we may be subject to brainwashing and possible conversion to one of the large organized religions or, even worse… The Church of Google!!!

In the name of your loyal devotees, PLEASE BRING BACK THE RECENT COMMENTS, PROPHET BOBBY!!! Or we might be forced to become Google-ites!!! (Noooooooo!!!)

Well, I guess some of us here (in Australia) felt and saw this situation brewing in this country! Still, a bit of a shock to actually witness such blatant religous manipulation and bullying being so openly displayed. This is only one example of the recent push to religify (a word?) politics here. Polarisation of politicians/politics and the public will be taken one small (large) step further!
I feel I may have to start staying home (on blogs and FSM here in Australia) a bit more. :(((

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
