Update on the burglary

We think it was probably our neighbor’s daughter’s friends.  Some of our other neighbors were around when it happened, and saw them sitting on the stairs, hanging out.  We’re thinking it’s unlikely that someone else walked up the stairs - past them, took a bunch of stuff and walked out.   They (the neighbor’s friends) said that they didn’t see anything, and then immediately took off. We know what school they go to, and the police lifted some fingerprints… so there’s hope.

    Just got back!
Slightly way laid by strange two legged creatures…think they may have been bi-pedal monkeys. (:))
Loved those lists…don’t remember seeing them before, but then one comes across so much good stuff it’s hard to keep track of it all. Didn’t have them on my system, so copied and pasted anyway. (:))
I just had chicken for lunch as well. (:))

    Hi William (:))
I believe you’re new. Make yourself comfortable. Enjoy (:))

    Aristotle
I was going to desribe to you earlier, the most beautiful button in my collection.
It is a very dark brownish black opalescence colour, and each time you move it around in the light, you get this endless array of the most magnificent colour combinations. So soothing to look at it. (:))

@Wench Nikkiee - Ooooo, send me a picture! Oh, that wouldn’t really work, would it?

“Oh, that wouldn’t really work, would it?”
    .
Probably not. I’ll try to organise it though…in the meantime…use your imagination. }:))
So relaxed at the moment…..all that Chicken Cachetori for lunch.

I really do love finding nice buttons.

Sometimes I just sit and look through them all and appreciate how nice they really are. (:))

My friends tell me they were a little disappointed there wasn’t too much happening on site when they came and had a look, (I’d told them it was a little slow at times…time zones), but said they’d really really enjoyed, and laughed, reading lots of the posts and getting a feel of what’s happening here. New members now, I think! (:)))

    “Buttons…”
Most of those appear to be of a slightly different style to the ones I have.
    .
    “Yet another button… :)”
    .
Yes I’ve seen that one. (from one of your previous links) That white button is a little R-rated isn’t it? (:))

    Cool! :)
    .
    Hahahaha
They tell me they’re not going to tell me what names they may post under, when they do! That I’ll have to guess. Typical Aussies! (:))

I’m a bit patriotic, but not overly I think, (…well Cricket/sport is a different ball game…Aussies rule there…no question! :)), as I’ve been so so proud of all the Aussies I’ve come across on the net who are involved in the anti-ID, anti-religion extremist war! Really…really… really proud. They should all hold their heads high. (:))

“I’m a bit patriotic, but not overly I think”
    .
Patriotism isn’t bad. But I’m not very patriotic myself. At least, not to America. More like the human race as a whole. Or all of Earth. Or life. Something like that.
Or, perhaps, no one at all.

  16. 276 Aristotle, God of Satire May 19th, 2007 at 11:48 pm

I’ve got it. I’m patriotic to Common Sense. Or Using-One’s-Head-ism.

Don’t you just love how the subjects of the recent threads are lost with the first post? Now it’s a contest to see who gets first post! I love it!

  18. 278 Aristotle, God of Satire May 19th, 2007 at 11:49 pm

    Or just People-Who-Try-To-Avoid-Stupidity-ism.

Am I winning? I’ve done it five or six times now. Five, I think.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
