Someone broke into my apartment today

Someone broke in while we were gone for 30 minutes and stole a bunch of stuff. It could have been much worse, but these things I will miss:

  • IBM Thinkpad T43 Laptop - with a giant black pirate-fish decal on it. This had a LOT of FSM-related stuff that was in progress. I had a lot of stuff backed up, but it’s all older versions.
  • Nkon D200 DSLR Camera with Nikkor 18-200mm VR Lens. It was less than 2 weeks old. Any pictures taken with it will have my name and email in the exif metadata.

If anyone comes across the above items by some chance, let me know please. I have the serial numbers.
Remember to back up your work frequently, and keep the backup somewhere else.

i think that mr. bobby is getting low on dinero and is trying to squeeze us all for funds. kinda tacky, like the christian evangelists do. dont anyone donate money to this! we are giving our loyalty and our ideas on this site, it is wrong to ask us for money, mr. bobby, just so you can stay”happily unemployed.”

aristotle you are the bomb. keep up the good work. and remember to think twice before donating money to mr. bobby because he needs to be a good businessman and fund his own projects, not beg for money from his followers and friends. at that point he becomes the very thing he detests.

What sort of drugs are you on exactly? What part of “if you want to” don’t you understand. Sounds like you are out just to start rumours! A fundie perhaps?
We have mostly intelligent people on this site. No doubt way above yours!

  7. 27 Wench Nikkiee May 19th, 2007 at 3:50 am

“i think that mr. bobby is getting low on dinero”
    .
You think…so who are you exactly. You think?
I loathe people who start rumours on no verifiable foundation.

    Who are you speaking for?

  9. 29 kev3056 May 19th, 2007 at 3:57 am

I think he is speaking for the regulars on the site, but he CAN’T be considering that they don’t feel that way. Personally I think pissed off is a bit of a moron for trying to start a rumor about bobby on a site that he created.
I BITE MY THUMB AT THOU GOOD SIR!
    GOOD DAY!

  11. 31 Wench Nikkiee May 19th, 2007 at 4:18 am

Hmm…what’s that thing about “argument from popularity” (I think)
The YECs try use it all the time….”we have 200 scientists who support young earth creation and literal biblical interpretation, therefore it is so”
Yeah right. If pissed off is a regular, maybe it’s time they moved on!

I said it to this “pissed off” idiot on another thread it spammed with similar verbal diarrhoea (sp.)…..I loathe rumour mongerers. Go get a life “pissed off”

  13. 33 Cat May 19th, 2007 at 5:49 am

Pissed off obviously has an opinion on Christian evangelists - either they are one, and its a bluff, or they hate them - what group hates Christian evangelists?

    “Captain Hook
    May 17th, 2007 at 6:10 pm
Hmmm… this whole thing smells a little bit fishy to me. Then again, most things smell fishy when you’re on a pirate ship :)
    .
Asking your own people for money, Mr. Bobby, is starting to sound like a bonafide fundie church. How about… we provide as much creativity and brain power as you need, and you provide the dinero?
    .
If outsiders buy more Pastafarian products, then more power to you. But soliciting from your own followers is a bit Oral Roberts-esque, don’t you think?
    .
Just thoughts from a pirate captain. I’m open to discussion, of course.”
    .
    .
Note the use of “mr bobby” “dinero” and the themes that we provide “loyalty and ideas/creativity and brain power”

Also, when people are trying to hide their identity in text they try not to use grammar so any individuality of grammar is not obvious… therefore, it a reguar poster, and I supect … Captain Hook! (In the library with the candlestick)

  16. 36 Cat May 19th, 2007 at 6:41 am

  17. 37 Alchemist May 19th, 2007 at 7:31 am

The posts were at 0520 where I live. I have an alibi :) I was unconscious!

Cat - “I just like conspiracy theories, I’m very willing to be wrong!”
Yeah - there fun! I’m trying to make my way through “The Illuminatus! Trilogy” Shea and Wilson.
It’s a bloody weird book but very funny. Mainly weird to be honest.

  18. 38 Cat May 19th, 2007 at 8:05 am

And your unconcious is willing to testify to that? I’m not sure its testimony is admissible. I’ll have a look for it, wierd is ok. My current favourite - The Titanic and how it didn’t sink…

  19. 39 Professor B♥♥ty May 19th, 2007 at 9:01 am

    @ Cat - Bwahahahaha!
    Excellent.
I like the faked moon landings myself :D

  20. 40 Alchemist May 19th, 2007 at 9:38 am

@Cat “And your unconcious is willing to testify to that?”
    .
Won’t be needed :) There are plenty of people here who’ll testify that at twenty past five on a Saturday morning I’m in no state to do anything but breath!
    .
The books is odd - Written in the ’70s by a couple of stoners. Very drug and free sex. Illuminate, Governments, Who really killed Kennedy, alien plots :)

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
