   I write to inform you that you are in serious breach of copyright law and should you not cease and desist you will suffer grave legal consequences.
   I have been retained by the Catholic Church Ltd. Of Rome, Italy and act on their behalf in this matter. It has come to our attention that you are using techniques to which the CCL has exclusive right and privileges.
   I am speaking of the following patents of which you are in serious breach.
   1. Invention of the improvable as an unassailable income foundation.
   2. Myth enhancement techniques
   3. Proselytizing by adaptable additions.
   4. The fear and uncertainty method.
   5. Subliminal musical messages.
   6. Ascribing omnipotence.
   7. The “it’s a mystery” excuse.
   8. The promotion by sightings rumor trick.

   To avert legal action you should inform us by return post that you will cease and desist from these violations immediately.

   I can “see” that there is some flash embedded object there but the video is not loading for me. Is it by any chance also hosted somewhere else, for example on Youtube?

   Dear Mr. Henderson
   I have been retained by the Catholic Church Limited of the Vatican, Rome, Italy to approach you with an offer of talks regarding areas of common concern. As you know we have initiated a legal action against you regarding infringement of many of our patents used for God systems promotion. This legal action can be avoided if you are willing to enter into certain agreements with us, the CCL, as the leader in the Worldwide Association of God Systems.

   As you may know from your own experience the greatest challenge to a successful God system promotion is logic and reason. In defeating logic and reason the CCL has been spectacularly successful over many centuries and continues to thrive in increasingly difficult conditions.

   However the present rise of logical commentators represents a severe threat to our industry, one which I’m sure you recognise. In this regard we are prepared to enter into discussions with your organisation regarding areas of common concern.

   We have in the past had cases of our convert’s leaving our organisation for new start ups (Protestantism, Calvinism, etc.) but have reconciled these situations with licensing agreements.

   This brings me to the point of our proposed discussions and I must warn you this is an industry trade secret and must not be discussed with customers who are not fully system converted or are not members of your internal promotional staff with vested interests in your company.

   We have in place what we call the N. N. W. W. (Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink) world wide unwritten consensus. As a promoter of a God system you will agree that none of your pronouncements in favour of your system will do anything to damage the underlying fundamentals on which our industry rests.

   You will agree not to make disparaging remarks in the general media which would undermine basic core elements of any industry competitor. You must not under any circumstance whatsoever make derogatory remarks about Blind Faith, Apparitions, Virgins, Miracles, Omnipotence, Physical God Locations, Prayer, or any basic tenant of your competitors.

   Of course within your own organisation and in promotion drives you are free to compete as we all do in the market places for skulls (also know as members of the flock, true believers, converts, the faithful etc.)

   We hope you will give this matter urgent attention.

   Remember an attack on one is an attack on all.

   I UK law you can’t copyright ideas but you can copyright characters.
   The Jews probably have a pretty good case against the Vatican for the character of ‘God’.
   Although they have two big problems. Firstly the law applies to fiction so they will have to admit God was made up and secondly the vatican can defend that although their character has the same name he is clearly a completely different entity with a totally different personality bearing little or no resemblence to the Jewish God.
