You Atheists think you have got it all figured out huh?

You Atheists think you have got it all figured out huh? So you THINK you know that there is no God so you make up this ridiculous fake religion. The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? COME ON!! As if making fun of Christians for believing in God wasn’t bad enough you have to mock us by making up The Flying Spaghetti monster? Yeah, I know that an atheist made this crap up, because no one is stupid enough to actually believe Pasta is our Almighty God. This is totally wrong and whoever started this is seriously going to pay unless you repent. Because if you don’t, you and all your believers are all going to burn in HELL for eternity. So pick up a Bible, and READ IT!!

Sincerely,
A Strong Christian

Yeah, Aristotle agrees. He didn’t know how he was goin’ to do the “intellectual” thing. While he does consider himself smart, and anyone who knows him would probably agree (as far he is aware), he doesn’t think he’s smarter than everyone. Each person is smart in his or her own way. A seven-year-old child can be smart (I don’t mean book smart or academically advanced).”

We’ve been invaded by so many groups, then we did the invading. England is a huge melting pot of cultures.

Can easily be translated in our language :

“You Christians think you have got it all figured out huh? So you THINK you know that there is a God so you make up this ridiculous religion.”

See how interchangeable the situation is ? Except that atheists don’t believe in God or Santa Claus (which are basically the same except for the suit…) without strong evidence.

I saw a comedy routine today that focused on religion and I think made an interesting point. He suggested that it was stupid to fight for a particular religion against another religion It might be reasonable for fight for democracy or freedom, but to fight for a religion was more like fighting about whose imaginary friend is best.
This seems to me a way to “spin” the religion argument. When someone talks to you about their belief in god, tell them that you are happy they are given comfort by their imaginary friend.
I personally like the holiday Thanksgiving now. I like feeling thankful, but being an atheist I don’t have someone to express my thanks towards. So I give thanks to the “Great Imaginary Being, GIB “. If something was responsible for all if this, I would like to give personal thanks to that thing. But I’m one of the lucky ones. There are a lot less fortunate on the planet.

    @Bill

I love Thanksgiving, too. It’s just about gratitude.
    No religion. Just gratitude.

But I’d like to point out to you that you DO have someone to whom you can express your thanks!! Those LUCKY individuals with whom you are LUCKY enough to be spending the holiday!

You can even say Grace for them:

“I’d like everyone to hold appendages for a moment.”

“I’d like to thank all the farmers, who worked so hard to grow all this nutritious food. (Especially the wheat and/or rice growers, without whom we would have no QUIVERING BOWLS OF YUMMY NOODLES!)”

“I’d like to thank those who labored to prepare this meal.”

“And, finally, I’d like to thank each and every one of my dear friends and family, who are gathered around this table, for spending this lovely day together, and for so freely exressing their love and gratitude to one and other.”

And TigerBoy would like to thank all the PASTA PEOPLE who have spread the TRUE WORD of Flying Spaghetti Monsterism as the WONDERFUL, HAPPY, JOYFUL, solution to the JUDGEMENTAL NASTINESS that is Christianity.

MAY HIS NOODLY APPENDAGES ENCIRCLE THE WORLD!!!

FLY YOUR PIRATE FLAG OF LOVE!

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
