mysterious sand formation resembles flying spaghetti monster

Hi, Bobby. I’ve enjoyed your site, and appreciate your moral goal and Swiftian efforts.

While travelling in France I visited the Dune du Pyla, the highest sand dune in Europe. It was a beautiful place and walking the length of it was peaceful and meditative — all the more so when I drew, er, found this holy spot. (See photo.)

    Any objection against my copying of this sign into a Disciples album? Too late, it’s done…

    This place is just like a church.
    The “prophet” makes his speech,
    and somehow convinces people to donate.
    Of corse, he promises to “give back”
    in order to build a better world.
    .
    There are several examples of this:
    - Politics
    - Religion
    - Pyramid Schemes

    Mr. Henderson keep going, you may someday
    be able to buy yourself the Presidency.

    @Ares
    You are rude and mean. I don’t like you. Get off this site or I’ll spray you.

    Oh my! Bob Woolmer has died! 58 years old! Shit! He was a good one, a really decent bloke. Cricketer! I’m really quite sad about this

    Speaking of crop circles.. why do they only appear in crops? Do the “aliens” have a predisposition to wheat, corn, and flax… or could it all be a hoax? (wink)

    Clearly the FSM would prefer sand. How better to contact his pirate worshipers!?!? LoL

    “To Pixel Pop… as usual, you are brilliant. France belongs to the Pastafarians! I’m going to marry you; well, I guess I’ll have to stand in line to wait but that’s ok. Cool, an official Pastafarian country! Should we speak French there or is English ok?”
    That’s right, the line starts HERE
    I say we speal Scottish/Pirate, the two languages are semi-compatible.

    @Thumper
    “did you ever share a cell or ward with hugdaddy?”
    It wouldn’t surprise me if they shared 99.9997% of their genetic material too.

  12. 32 Thumper â„¢ Mar 18th, 2007 at 5:43 pm

    @DPG
    Indeed…I imagine hugdaddy wasn’t gentle either…this sort of full contact transfer of genetic material can, and does, push some nutjobs further from the edge of reason then they’d otherwise go…
    @Ares
    We understand your pain…come and tell Thumpie all about it…promise I don’t bite…

    ooh cool - chance to post one :))
    .
    Yes. Well evolution is fine but what about survival of the fittest??? When you remove that biological imperative then we are screwed! Should those with mental sickness be allowed to breed? What about the spastics and other ones who are subnormal?? Do we let them continue the species? If we do then we will all, eventually, become like them! Stupid and incapable!
    I am a reasonable person but this attitude makes me sick!
    God is NOT stupid - I work in the health care industry (psychiatry).They have high sex drives but we are allowed to give them contraceptive pills without their consent!
    Why can’t we do this to other groups!
    .
    I couldn’t post that one as I was banzoided again - I thought it was a winner :(

    WOAH!!!
    There’s been a troll here all along and I haven’t noticed him!!!
    I need to wake up.
    Now lemme in on the fun.

    @Alchemist
    Are you trolling? Where did that post come from? What’s going on? Honestly, one day spent attending to my real-life duties, and I feel completely out of the loops. =( (I’m pouting. But not for real. I’m not that kind of girl.)

  16. 36 Pixel Pop Mar 18th, 2007 at 6:36 pm

    Wait wait wait.
    Is there a troll on the forum that I could be belittling right now?
    I totally want to do that!

    @Batman
    Hello. Alchemist has been off tormenting the Nazi’s. They don’t seem to like him very much though…hard to imagine really…I’ve always found Alchemist to be quite personable. I see you’ve found a troll of your own…want some help to hunt it down and destroy it’s emotional well being???
    @Pixel
    A fine day to you Pixel!!! Hopefully the troll will come back soon…I’m busy today but always have time for this soret of thing…you always seem to miss the trolls…

  18. 38 Thumper â„¢ Mar 18th, 2007 at 6:40 pm

    Ummmm…I meant…”sort” of thing…last thing I need is typo’s when there’s a troll about…

  19. 39 Alchemist Mar 18th, 2007 at 6:45 pm

    who me?
    Tired now (had a late night yesterday :) ) Not really trolling - I’ve popped my head into a couple of hate groups but nothing serious - they seem to be blocking public proxies tonight (I’m not going in under my own IP - not that daft :) )so I’ve not had a very successful evening I’m afraid. Still, no reason to give up :)
    .
    I’ll email you when we get our arses together - we can launch a dozen loons at one site - some of the “boylove” sites look attractive
    http://www.boylinks.net/
    fucking disturbing though!

  20. 40 Batman Mar 18th, 2007 at 7:00 pm

    @Alchemist
    I don’t know how to block my IP address.
    .
    I just went to that site. It made me sick. Actually feel in need of a very long, hot shower right now. They actually have a thread with a list of “rules” for “boylovers”!!!! And they guy says “I always follow the rules with *MY* boys.”
    .
    How are all these people not being tracked down and hauled off in chains???? They talk about child rape as if it was simply a “bad decision” made by someone, deserving a slap on the wrist. I wish I hadn’t gone there… I want to cry. Stupid girly time, but I can’t help it. I hope all of them suffer unfortunate kitchen accidents that render them unable to continue in their so-called lifestyles. Actually, I hope for a lot worse, but I won’t actually say it.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
