The Limp Noodle documentary

A couple of weeks ago, a few of my friends and I participated in a campus movie festival (http://www.campusmoviefest.com) and created a short documentary about someone following the wise teachings of the FSM. Seeing as your work in spreading his noodly word, especially the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, directly inspired the creation of the film, we decided you might like to see it.

Not going by a dictionary, propaganda is the spreading of inaccurate information to create an, unknowingly biased, opinion in a person.
    .
Nearly all western news channels are now propaganda agents. All news is biased despite claiming the contrary. Plus the news sensationalises to get a bigger story. This warps peoples concepts of an issue.
    .
Look at all the conflicting news out there on global warming. It normally comes down to the actually person putting the news out. At least with el ‘reg they are quite clearly biased and don’t deny it. I find it much easier to find the truth then.
    .
A documentary is a purely informative show on a subject. Given the nature of the FSM, I think propaganda is the best option. It’ll be more fun and in the spirit.

    Brilliant.
    .
They really caught the spirituality of the experience.
It was like I was watching myself on the screen it was so accurate.
    .
The Oscars are soon, this must be nominated for best short film about a starch based deity.
    .
The music, the editing, the visual effects were all brilliant.
Clearly there was no acting and this was all genuine footagge.
    .
When is it available on DVD?
Is there going to be a feature length version?
I think they should cast Russell Crowe as the Pastafarian.
Or George Clooney. Or Russell Crowe and George Clooney and Kevin Spacey.
    .
Please please keep Kevin Kostner out of it. He sucks.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We would have made it better and longer, but the rules of the contest we entered it for required us to make it in a week and keep it under 5 minutes.

We would definitely love to make a full-length version with Russell Crowe cast as the Pastafarian, but he’s not returning our phone calls. :(

So basicly your a group of ppl who were in some way shown a distroted view of who God is and were jaded by it. So you set out to create a religion that would prove the point that Gods not real and that the entire concept of religion and inteligent design is stupid and is only followed by mindless idiots. Right? Thats why your here isn’t it?
I would guess that you don’t even believe in your own god. Probably just thought it was a creative and amusing idea to prove a point.

Could you let me know what a ‘distroted’ view of god is? I’m guessing: one that doesn’t fit with whatever fairy tale you’ve invented from half formed thoughts and beliefs of others.
Our idea of god is just as sensible as yours. plus, we have a graph.

Spaghetti, you know creativity is a sin to God, because then people might think! And then maybe question the existence of God! Oh noes! Silly shaman.
    @Dark Elmo
First, spell everything right, because I don’t know what “distroted” means. Second, you don’t have to flame a religion you don’t agree with. Do FSMists post flames on the Vatican’s website? Do we send death threats to the Pope? I admit that your post isn’t as bad as others (remember Guido?) but calm down. And if we have to respect your belief, you have to respect ours.

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to spread the word of the FSM. Recently I purchased the website, http://www.carlsjr.net. Obviously, the FSM put the unbelievers at Carl’s Jr., who do not believe in pasta, into a deep sleep, so they could not renew their domain. At first, I did not acknowledge his hand in this, and began randomly placing ads for exotic meats on my site. This was out of anger for Carl’s Jr. shunning of the FSM. They will now see his wrath slowly but surely set upon them, and make their burgers over-grilled, and their bread moldy, and their employees will be dumbfounded and will no longer be able to converse one with another in English. And the people shall leave the restaurant an hungered, for they will not be able to understand the strange languages.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did.
