fsm dna

During the course of my research into condensed stages of DNA my colleague and I came upon this paper.  “Nanoscopic structure of DNA condensed for gene delivery”, Dunlap et al, Nucleic Acids Research, (1997), Vol 25, No. 15, Pgs 3095-3101.

Please examine Figure 2c, and be enlightened.

In fact DNA seems to naturally condense into nano-toroids reminiscent of his Noodliness.  Since DNA is the precursor for all life, and His image is seen in DNA, then we must assume that The Most High Pasta is in us all.

May his appendages be ever moist.

    You’ve truely made my day. I’ve always believed the simularity between the FSM and nucleic acid forms was far from coincidence.

    @ Beth:
    It makes so much more sense than the Creationist idea of us being created in their God’s image: almost everything on us is the direct result of a biological necessity, which an omnipotent being wouldn’t have. Eyes to see, body cavities to store organ systems, legs to move, arms to manipulate things; all things their God shouldn’t need.

    It’s clear that our designer was, naturally, a pasta product.

    Hello all, seems like a buncha lighthearted, funny, intelligent folks here. Makes me so sad that all these good folks are gonna burn and be tortured and all just for having a little fun. I’m also sorry that I’m not nearly creative enough to partake in this pirate tentacle stuff… I’m great in the sack though if anyones interested.

    I just wanted to share a couple sites with you people where you will find some interesting reading and though I’ve managed to earn an associates in this ‘puter related stuff I am still unable to figure out how to start my own thread… so please, mods or missionaries or whatever, try to find a place for these links. Fear not, Not-quite beleiver Welshie, for the consumption of His Noodly Goodness is but a tribute to His existence. Pirates cannot live by garlic bread alone. And be sure to wash it down with a fine flaggon of grog. The way to enlightenment is through a full belly. Take comfort in the embrace of His Noodly Appendage.

    I have an alternate, yet compatible observation that the endoplasmic reticulum, at least the representations I’ve seen, is rather noodly-looking. Coincidence? I think not. And what about the irrepressible mitochondria, swashbuckling about in the intercellular sea harvesting ATP from hapless glucose molecules? Rather piratey, I’d say.

    @Wench Beth
    Good to know that we won’t go pastaless to the beer volcano! My experiences with cooking are pretty much limited to mac-n-cheese and leftovers (and during a trip to Italy I got to hand-make gnocci), and a pirate ship needs much in the way of sustenace. Make sure that you know plenty of dishes high in vitamin C, we may consider scurvy a point of honor but the overall effects are not the most desirable.
    .
    As a side note, I would like to ask if anyone else has (with very little concious effort) had pasta almost every day since seriousely joining the FSM’s cause. As a science obsessee, it’s really starting to freak me out.

    Meh, my brain wasn’t fully functional, and frankly I’ve heard too many innuendos related to my saxophone-playing for them to really even register anymore. I was in jazz band at one of the more… crude local high schools here my freshman year, and was thoroughly desensitized to almost all but the most original jokes of that nature.

    @Gnocci
    Not so much an active effort, but frozen pizzas are on sale at Kroger for 10/$10 since, like, forever. Being the, um, “frugal” (read: cheap) college student I am, I eat those about 1-2 meals a day. I suppose that’s pasta… my bro eats Ramen all the time though. I don’t gain a pound though; I feel truly blessed by His Noodly Goodness!

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
