Well, after a good go at Unreal, to remove the need for doing damage (life is sacred, but even I have limits), I come here to find it’s a parody. Thank noodles for that. I wouldn’t have actually slept tonight with that place on my mind.
    .
Knowing that people out there are like that still worries me, but at least I haven’t just met a whole site on it. So, deep down in my mind, they don’t really exist, it’s just stories….
    .
For a short bit I thought it _might_, but I were suckered, I never thought that it was. Think I’m gonna bait them all the more now. Who’s up for some good ol’ FSM v XTreme Parody?

“Some of the prayer book signatures are probably real sentiments!”
You should read the guestbook hate comments from some of the atheists and evolutionaries!
    Hahaha
BTW I noticed (I think it was page 119 of the guest book entries) a comment from a Pastafarian in the guest book ;)

Everyone percieves God in a different way, because we have no means to truly know what he/she/it looks like.
You may percieve God as a man or a woman or even an animal.
So why can others not believe he’s a giant pasta ball.
In christian eyes Jesus(a 200 year old carpenter) is their savior.
Is that really that much more normal that a flying spaghetti ball.
Leave these people alone, I don’t go to your religious site and say what your God is or isn’t.

What is the FSM’s stance on Harry Potter and other such works that “promote” wizardry. I just found out that HP7 come out 7/21/07, and I’m very excited, but I wish to know if being a Pirate allows such readings…..

I don’t understand. I’m a bit slow tonight. Need some help. Could you say it again in a different way, without the parody, if there is parody? That’s how bad my non-understanding is, I don’t even know if it’s parody. Also, I could never read lil abner and make sense of it. I know I was supposed to read that stuff and hear what it sounded like, but that’s not one of my skills. So spelling would count to help my understanding.
Sorry. I don’t want to be a jerk but

I am slowly coming to believe in the FSM but I must take issue with the word used frequently by your adherents “Noodly”. Noodly is NOT a word. I just tried looking it up in my Funk & Wagnalls & guess what? No such word! Besides spaghetti is a type of pasta and noodles are, well, different. Perhaps we should refer to his appendages as pasta-like or linguine-like. We must use the utmost respect when referring to HIM or any of HIS parts. Agree??

  49. 249 - Josh the Pirate - Feb 14th, 2007

    @SLD

I must take issue with some of the arguments on your post. Perhaps Noodly was not a word before the Prophet Bobby saw the FSM in a dream. But the English language lends itself easily to innovation. New words are constantly being added to the dictionary. Hopefully if we use Noodly enough, it will get added. Also, even allowing that pasta and noodles are not identical, all we are saying is that his appendages are noodly – that is, noodle-like. Saying they are pasta-like belies the fact they are indeed pasta, and linguini, well…I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear that part.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
