Flying Spaghetti Monster Tourtière

This Christmas my two young sons and I celebrated our religious
diversity with a Flying Spaghetti Monster Tourtière. Tourtière is a
traditional French Canadian meat pie traditionally served at
Christmas. Here, alongside our Holly and Ivy Tourtière is His
Noodliness.

    Peter,

Very occasionally I can hear bubbles of Stella Artois in a barrel half a mile away banging on the side and shouting “Help! Let Us Out!” is that also the FSMs doing?

Oh Captain – I know how you feel! It breaks my heart when I hear those innocent little bubbles screaming for release. Even worse, when you wake up in the middle of the night and hear “the silence of the cans”.
We can’t free all of them but by FSM we’ll give it a damned good go!
    PS Stella eh? Good man!

Sometimes I think that if I can just save one, it’ll count for something! It usually leads me to free their friends.

So was that the official announcement, Peter? You’re in the race for 2008? (Please say yes; I don’t want to write in Morris the Cat *again*.)

Peter must already have at least 20 votes right here at the CoFSM. He is a dead cert for the oval office.

    Hi all!
    Just a quick heads up…….
    .
    .
Are wood splinters or cannon shot more deadly?
Can an eyepatch assist with night vision?
    Is rum useful for cleaning?
    .
Find out the answers to these questions next Wednesday at 9:00 PM on The Mythbusters Pirate Special on the Discovery Channel!

    Enjoy!

I love mythbusters! They’re crazy of course, but it’s a nice crazy. They do a lot of tests like that at brainiac too.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
