Mark Pile of BSAlert.com created this FSM light display:

We tried him out in front of the house tonight. Only two cops showed
up. Tomorrow I’m going to put this guy way up high in the air off
the roof. It should be quite amusing… His eyes blink green and
red… He’s about six feet wide and was made with 63 feet of
lightrope, 140 christmas lights, two spools of heavy wire and a tond
of cable ties.

Mark has created a tutorial showing how he created this display on his site. Here’s the link.

Thanks, Mark – Nice work.

*Update* this was boingboing’d here

Beautiful, a work of art and genius. I’d love to know what the cops problem was.

  2. Booty says:

@ Beastly Rich – they probably wanted to know where they can get one ;)
I don’t know…..is this in America? From what I’ve seen their cops have a humourectomy before they start the job!

  3. L'TUAE_42 says:

Eh…not all of them, but when it comes to matters like this it’s amplified.

I think it’s very tastefull. We start to get more and more of those horrid santas in poeples garden. Well if they allow those why not this?

Also, Mark please keep us posted on the community and city government reactions to your display. I’m sure all of us would be very interested.

I love it! What can anybody say in response to it? It’s not offensive. It’s probably just confusing to most. I hope it is in America, right in the middle of the Bible Belt, and I hope there’s a battle about it that goes to the Supreme Court. We do have freedom of religion, do we not? I think it’s beautiful, and it has inspired me to spread goodwill towards others like no angel ever could.

The Pastafarians have a holiday near the winter solstice? What other holidays to they celebrate?
