His Noodlyness’ image appears in Baghdad

Hi, Bobby,

Would like you to know we’ve been spreading the word in the Green Zone. I drew an image on the dirty rear window of an armored Suburban in the U.S .embassy parking lot, and some fellow Pastafarian added an editorial smiley the next day.

Yarrrrr, me hearty,

Mike Billips, LT, USN

Good one. Following Jingle’s suggestion, can someone post “FSM” in Arabic? I think that would be useful for FSM missionary work worldwide…

At least that is Google’s translation, although I think it is actually ‘Aviation Spagetti Monster’. At least that is what it translated back into, according to Google lol

The Green Zone is for PUSSIES. Get out into the world once in a while, FOBBIT. That said, praise his noodly greatness.

Now that pastafarianism is being spread into muslim dominated parts of the world, any volunteers for hatemail translators? I know we need them for the ones in English anyway, but how can we respond if we don’t know how they’re insulting us?

I’m confused? You mean people would actually insult us?
    Oh the shame.

  19. 19 Mike Billips Jan 7th, 2007 at 11:30 am

Fobbit? I? Sirrah, you wound me. I’ve left the Green Zone on a Baghdad neighborhood patrol. Once.

Considering I’m a Navy public affairs officer, and I had to beg and plead to get to go, I think I’m over my quota.

I’ve also done the back and forth to Victory a couple times, but I don’t count Route Irish as leaving the Green Zone; too easy.

  20. 20 BugBite Jan 7th, 2007 at 1:28 pm

May His noodly appendage extend to all parts, but are you all sure that the US military is the best way to spread his word? Sorry for being a war spoil sport, but I think that pirate preaching is best done in peace times and peaceful places. Am I the first anit-fucker-head-Bush on this website? I definitely hope not. Bless the noodle, man

  21. 21 BlueDreamer Jan 8th, 2007 at 3:29 pm

Indeed, the FSM family is in all places of the world.
I think that is just awesome. Unfortunately, wherever the believers are, the flamers there are also. I wonder if anyone else wrote more stuff on that window…

  22. 22 Michael Jan 8th, 2007 at 4:59 pm

I am spreading the “Word” in Arabic. Somewhere on my website; I placed: وحش السباغيتي الطائر complete with link-back. Lets see how smart these pastafarians are. I am sure the scribble will cause someone in HomeLand Security to have a cow.
I take my steaks well done please….

  31. 31 Chap Jan 10th, 2007 at 10:59 am

Buddha never ate rice noodles, they were invented AFTER HIS DEATH, and besides, the FSM cannot manifest itself in rice, it is NOT NOODLES, PIRATES, MIDGETS, or any other crock you idiots invented, and if you give me something about the FSM inventing everything, SO HELP ME GOD I WILL KICK YOUR ASS OVER THE NET.

besides, rice noodles are noodle, just much finer than egg noodle, they only take about a minute or two to cook too

  38. 38 Gee Dubya Jan 11th, 2007 at 8:16 am

How will i tell if I am feeling the subtle nudge of a noodly appendage? as an irishman I am particularly interested in potato based pasta, is there any evidence of his noodleyness at work in Gnocchi for example - i await with bated breath.

By the way - there are a lot of nasty fundamentalists here : http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/ni/2007/01/the_thermodynamics_of_andy_mci.html - I have been busy refuting their nonsense (but not on an empty stomach!!). I think Coleoptera has been sighted there too.

  39. 39 Lexi Jan 13th, 2007 at 2:24 am

Hey, not all fundamentalists are nasty. Just the extremist/retarded ones. Which I’m afraid we have there. =(
And Gee Dubya, I’m sure you’ll know the nudge of His Noodlyness when you feel it. His Noodly Appendage nudges all of us all the time, you just have to be calm and listen to the pasta (yarr!). =D There is evidence in everything, especially pasta-based foods, or so I believe. I must say, I was pleased to find on my fork while eating spaghetti bolognese yesterday a likeness of the FSM. I discussed briefly with my girlfriend and we decided that it would be an honour to eat it, so I did. You see, you can revere His Noodlyness in all that you do =)
And yay for the Word in Baghdad!

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
