fsm cake

Dear Bobby Henderson,

Please find attached photos of the FSM cake decoration I made out of icing sugar. The decoration has raisins as meatballs and dried dried fruit bits as eyes. As you can see in the second photo, it is being worshipped by penguins.

Regards

Beastly Rich

Hi Wench Nikky, Mad John Kidd, Peter Popoff,
Have you all taken a minute to vote for Dawkins on the BBC website? C’me on, it would be fabulous if Dawkins came out on top in that forum. If you did then, like me, you are probably awaiting approval from the blog admin for the post to be made. Hmmm….hope there is no selective filtering there.

Not yet. I’ve only just gotten through one of the threads there! (first one I think: William Crawley’s broadcasting diary ‘Will and Testament’)

Thanks everyone for voting for Dawkins. The Person of the Year election is going quite nicely. Those who haven’t voted yet, don’t relax too soon. Dawkins is ahead now, but the number of votes for any candidate is still small. If anyone drums up support among Creationists or George W. Bush conservatives the way I did among Pastafarians in this thread, it could easily turn. The more votes for Dawkins, the merrier the Christmas aftertaste will be this year! So go vote on
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/ni/2006/12/person_of_the_year_2006.html
and have a merry Christmas aftertaste. Possibly one of very few tastes that can come close to pasta.

Just checked the BBC poll and Dawkins appears to have at least a third of the votes.

“Bush is suppressing the age of the Grand Canyon in favor of Noah’s Ark book
I couldn’t figure out how to start a new topic so I thought I would start it here. Apparently, Park Service Rangers at the Grand Canyon are forbidden to state the Geological age to visitors, but they are allowed to sell a book claiming that it was created by Noah’s flood.

I propose that we request to sell the FSM Gospels at the park stores and perhaps a pamphlet stating that the Grand Canyon was the original location of the great Pasta water deluge. (Web Admin please start this as a new topic)”

It is a great link, but I can’t take credit for posting it here. Gideon Ashcraft’s post at the top of the page was responsible (thanks again Gideon) and I thought it should be spread around lest it got buried under TLM fanmail (if he posted here) or similar.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
