I like the shadow it makes on the ceiling.  Holiday Trees, anyone else?  Send pics, I’ll post them.

    @Anyone who gives a shit
My own FSM epiphany occurred when I was confronted with the undeniable possibility that there was a definate chance of a correlation between the shrinking pirate population and global warming…global warming effects us all people and I’m more then happy to embrace piracy and FSM’ism to do my bit…the beer and stripper heaven thing just fits in with my lifestyle. Was I touched by the noodley appendage??? hell yeah!…I’d like to think so.

Does anyone know the identity of a good parrot psychologist? My faithful feathered friend, “Capt’n Sick” seems a bit depressed…I’ve had him on a course of beer and twiggy sticks but he’s definately not improving…please help.

Thanks to Teddy for the Cream wool/Brown wool instructions. Going through that theraputic process seems like it would be similar to counting rosary beads, except without all the penance.

I’m going to do some styraphome meatballs, but I’m still skeptical about the noodle replicas. Nothing REALLY looks like pasta except pasta, and I’m too lazy to try that freezing technique that was suggested.

    I’ll keep working though!

One more: @ “MJK, Orthodox Pastafarian”

Isn’t this kind of paradoxical to say? I thought one our good points is that there is no orthodoxy, or that at the very least it doesn’t mean anything if we choose to follow a schism.

    @ Chewbecca

I am using orthodox in the sense of traditional to the original scripture. In any great religion there are splitters and those who chose to remain faithful to the one true path. The beauty of scripture is that one is free to interpret or misinterpret as one so pleases. So. There. ;)

I’m orthodox too, Mad John…well almost. I do like Carbonara (even if I didn’t happen to spell it right), probably Alfredo too and rice noodles (yum) ..and………and…….

I’m orthodox because I truly and literally believe that a flying spaghetti monster created the universe. Seriously. No satire, no irony. Look in the about section, I believe it says…
“Some claim that the church is purely a thought experiment, satire, illustrating that Intelligent Design is not science, but rather a pseudoscience manufactured by Christians to push Creationism into public schools. These people are mistaken. The Church of FSM is real, totally legit, and backed by hard science. Anything that comes across as humor or satire is purely coincidental.”
I’m going 2 trust bobby on this one.

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster won’t be a true religion before it burns a few people at the stake for heresy. It wouldn’t hurt to molest a few young boys, start a couple of wars, and insist on 10% of everybody’s income so you buy some gold-plated crap either.

If we become the predominant religion in the world I am sure we will have all those things and more. Suicide bombers and Pirate exorcisms too!

How about a pirate inquisition? Arrrgh – the non-believers will be walkin’ the plank to be sure. Arrrgh.

I, too, am an orthodox Pastafarian. I follow the original path set forth by the great FSM and his wonderful prophet Bobby H., and look forward to having a drink with each and every one of you at His sacred beer volcano, and sharing a smorgasborg of pasta and unadulterated scientific discussions at one of his giant springtime picnic tables (if he doesn’t have any, then one of the S. Factories will do) to the jolly music of shanteying (?) pirates!

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
