RUN!!!!!!

Dear People who believe in the FSM,

Bobby Henderson is the next Jim Jones. Run, run while you still can.

Thank You,
TheLaughingMan

*update* TLM’s comment @ 8:15pm:

May I make a suggestion to all of you who still believe in the FSM. Buy this book. Recovery from Cults: Help for Victims of Psychological and Spiritual Abuse

I just wanted to note that TLM’s suggested book is amazon-ranked at approximately #153,000, whereas The Gospel is currently ranked at #825 (lower is better).

*update* TLM’s comment @ 9:17pm:

I’m not trying to make anything personal… I’m just simply pointing out that historically people who are insane and lead cults end up in bad situations. I just thought I’d give you guys a heads up.

In truth I really want just one thing. As soon as Bobby Henderson publicly announces that FSM is a farce… then I’ll shut up and go away. But as long as you guys try to continue making this thing a real religion… then I’m going to keep replying. There are too many religions screwing up the world as it is… we don’t need an FSM to add to the pile.

well, you can take rice crispies or cheerios instead. They will do anything you want them to for rice crispies.
okay, I guess the whole rat issue is becoming lame.
But if you think they are gross, you can look at my site and the photo-album… you might be converted…

Speaking of rats, we’ve got some really nice cute native ones around here. (I’m not fussed on the other ones…they chew everything) They are naturaly quite tame and very cute. I think they are called, Marmalus (phonetic spelling)

    ‘and they don’t chew?’
    .
No they don’t appear to. I’ve had one or two from time to time living around my carport ect. They may even be classed as something else again (not mouse). I was telling to one of my neighbours about them and he knew the ones I was talking about. He told me they make great pets and initially would come right up to your hand if you put some peanut butter on your finger. They kinda hop just a little (only just perceptable) and they wander past right next to you. He gave me the name of them. Must ask him again.

According to most info at a glance, true hopping mice live way inland. Makes me determined to find out now. I also have a friend who works in the zoology dept. at uni, I’ll send her an email today as well. Another thing I know about them is they only have one or a couple of young at a time.

Kysyra – I’ve got a 12 week old Cairn Terrier. They chew. Oh, how do they chew.
    .
They’re like insectivorous plants. They look oh so cute and harmless. Then you get down to them and, bang, they’re swinging from your nose (not the plants).
    .
I once thought about owning ferrets (no joke) but with the Cairn – not a good idea.

In the scientific name Pseudomys oralis, the word oralis sounded similar to your marmalus term. Plus the easily handled bit and the small number of young per litter. Coat colour can be highly variable over regional distances. Most other species I could find tend to be more desert dwelling or are regionally specific.

Interested to hear what you find out.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
