    this site,belief, and its followers are all idiots.

    The funny thing is what most of them think of as “hell” is actually a reference to the Lake of Fire. Which symbolizes eternal destruction or the “second death”. Hell and the eternal torture idea actually stems from a “pagan” belief.

    I thought the Christian version of Heaven and Hell was just a corrupted and dumbed down version of the Greek myths of Elysium and Tartarus.

    Like most things the Fundis rant about it’s not even in their book.

    the vast majority of christianity is simple plagarism from judaic, mithraic and greco-roman beliefs. the early christians had to attribute all of these outlandish traits to their vaunted “messiah”, otherwise the pagans they were looking to convert would simply have responded with “pfft. that’s nothing - you should see what OUR god can do”.

    @j: you suck. i mean, have you even read through this site?

    Obviously that j is not the J we know. Yet another poser.

    hmmph. this truly is a blashpeming site, yet not against christian beliefs. spaghetti monster? how quaint! you worship it truly or for the fun? believe me, it is no ‘flying spaghetti monster’. it is something far worse and far more ancient. read through ancient scriptures, you’ll find it! forge deamons are particularly nasty, and kinzuke, as the leader, tends to be more so than his underlings. enjoy your deaths ignorant fools, pain and suffering are all that can come of such worship, for he doesn’t take well to people who abandon their worship of him.

    May your souls, eternally set to wander the night find solice in deaths chapel, that you may yet sleep.

  7. 167 Jingles Dec 1st, 2006 at 7:11 am

    Ahh… another deluded soul.
    .
    You fail to realise that the great FSM is not only the one true god, but also that he does not condone pan and suffering for all eternity.
    .
    Only make belieeve stories do that.

    @firebrand grimdeath
    .
    you’re one scary christian man. not only did you spell demons wrong (deamons), the fact that you believe in them is pathetic. come on, kinzuke, literally, who the fuck is that. is that another jibberish satanic being from the bible. i think it is you that needs to go to a mental hospital not us. stop being so paranoid.
    .
    it’s also funny how you as a christian (i’m guessing that’s what you are) believe the commandment ‘though shall not kill’ yet you personally feel our deaths would be pleasuring god. is god a necrophiliac? you are a sick and demented fuck.

    Firebrand Grimdeath…wow. just wow. i don’t think this guy is a christian. i think he’s just a teenage Dungeons and Dragons player out to get kicks by mixing his roleplaying fantasies with the real world. why not throw in some Cthulhu, or Nyarlathotep? how about Ravanna and his demonic Rakshasa servants? i met a Krsna recently who tried to convince me that flesh-eating demons still walked in the shadows of society. boy, wouldn;t the world be so much more interesting if religions were true? horrific, to be sure, but most certainly interesting.

  11. 171 Branded Cow Dec 1st, 2006 at 1:34 pm

    @firebrand grimdeath: If I spend my entire life enjoying the joke of the FSM and then convert to your religion on my deathbed, then what does this do? Can’t be any harm in it can there? Of course that is all dependent on the fact that your religion is truth. Do you have proof of any truth in your religion besides anceint scrolls (also writen by man)?
    .
    Perhaps the most anceint religion is the correct one then. FSM is less than a decade old, so must be false. Islam is only 1400 years old so must be wrong. Christianity is only 2000 years old so must be wrong. Norse is only 2500 year old so must be wrong. Greco-Roman is only 3000 years old so must be wrong. Then there is a fog with Etruscan, Egyptian, and Judaism. Which is the oldest?
    .
    Perhaps we should look at it another way. Humans just can’t seem to get it right so God or one of the gods must come down from the heavens and try to correct us. Well, there is one God seated in Rome. Quite a few who have forsaken us altogether. A Mayan god is in our blood right now. An Egyptian god drags the sun across the sky everyday. Probably a few other gods that have never tried to contact us. Which one do we follow?
    .
    I guess what my rant is getting at is you don’t have proof of your religion, the Norse don’t have proof of thier religion, and Muslims don’t have proof of thier religion. Sure there are books, scripts, stories, and all forms of traditions that seem to provide proof, but there is no undeniable proof. As absurd as it sounds we have as much proof as you, and to us this site is not blasphemy.

    @Homo narrans
    Nyarlathotep. hmmm….
    .
    Nyarlathotep cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. He is like a many-legged goat, and he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice, horned in glory. Nyarlethotep spake, and he said “rise up, my dark one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is nigh and the cold rains fall. The flowers have died upon the earth, and the singing of birds is done. The turtle lies slain. The fig tree withers, as do the grapes. Arise, my dark one, and come away…”"
    .
    I’m pretty sure that most daemons (old way of spelling demons) were created before D&D. weir thing we do…

  13. 173 Boris Dec 1st, 2006 at 3:59 pm

    funny how christianity isnt even original. my favorite part is how they took the Norse goddess/monster of the “underworld” ’s name (Hel), added another “L”, and made it their own underworld.

    RAmen.

    (i wonder which of the FSM’s false deities is his favorite. my bet’s on Odin.)

  14. 174 Branded Cow Dec 1st, 2006 at 4:10 pm

    @Boris: Speaking of hell, have you noticed that the Norse hell is extremely cold while the Christain hell is extremely hot. The correlation in this may be linked to geography. In the far north the cold is the pain that kills, while in the Middle East it is the heat.

  15. 175 Pixel Pete Dec 1st, 2006 at 4:39 pm

    @Boris: $10 says it’s Loki.

  16. 176 Branded Cow Dec 1st, 2006 at 4:49 pm

    @Pixel Pete: Loki is also a member of the Norse panthology. I think he is a trickster among the giant race of the Jotun who will help kickstart the Ragnarok or the end of the world.

  17. 177 Preacher Sampsonite Dec 1st, 2006 at 6:53 pm

    i hope ya know you are going to hell for your belif, stripers and your blasphamy!

  18. 178 SaucyWench Dec 1st, 2006 at 6:53 pm

    OEJ, what the heck happened to J? Even though he once accused me of having a large ego, a fact which I am NOT holding a resentment about, I have missed his presence here. Those two mateys did both want me, though. But I’ve let it go. Really.

  19. 179 TRIX Dec 1st, 2006 at 7:41 pm

    @Preacher Sampsonite,
    How is it blasphamy when it’s not your religion? and I was not aware we had any “stripers” around. Do they paint the strips on the road? if so, they missed a lot near my house. Oh, and mr. sampsonite, do you have any luggage I could have? Mine kinda broke

  20. 180 Jingles Dec 1st, 2006 at 8:58 pm

    J said he was going off to devote some extra time to his life, seeing as how he’d been burning a lot of it up on the site.
    If all else fails though, pester him with emails to get him back, send him a petition, or better yet, an open letter :p.
    Hell, just send him a transcript of the nic arguments on “if I were to shoot your wife”. He’d be back like a shot.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
