Nick Jones came up with this FSM money stamp. It covers up “In God We Trust” and replaces it with “In Pasta We Trust”. I like it.
BoingBoing had a post a while ago showing a tiny stamp to strike out the word “God” from paper money:

Which prompted Kim Moser to suggest the following FSM stamp:
Here’s what I want to know: how many people would be interested in a money stamp? We could have them made if there’s enough interest.

The only real way to grasp the meaning of life along with how and why we were created is to read the holy bible
You can begin at the beginning, the book of Genesis

Sophomore… close enough. Regardless, your Worldview is miniscule. So, with your lofty educational status (and infinate wisdom of 19 long years on this planet), you claim that billions of people over thousands of years recording their observations of the world they inhabit is utter malarkey. You claim that there is this one magical tome that is the “Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything”. So, are you currently getting your education at Hogwarts? Wherever you are, I would still recommend looking into that refund.

No, it brings confusion and currupts the minds on children.
You don’t get that what your doing is acually effecting some people on this earth [you know, the one God made?]
And of all the rediculous things too, spaghetti monster?
I think not. We have more proof of bigfoot and life on Mars than we do your “FSM.” Maybe if this cult had any meaning then and only then should people even consider it a religion if that.

Again, like Max, all you offer are your opinions. Show me some evidence. Prove that the FSM does not exist. You are the one doubting Him. The burden of proof is on you.

Personally, I feel no need to prove His existence. I don’t require evidence. I have faith.

First of all citing gravity as an arguement is stupid. Sure you can’t see it but it is easily proved. Proving gravity exsists is as simple as watching an apple fall from a tree…

What he did was get 2 jars
1 with meat and no lid
1 with meat and a lid
he then waited one day
the next day he saw that lid 1 had flies and maggots surrounding the meat
the other lid, on the other hand, (with the lid) had no flies
thus, proving the fallacy of spontaneous generation

ok, literally, are all these fundies right here actually saying they are smart. they may say that we are stupid, but at least some of us have an understanding of science.

and yes, the FSM is made up morons. have you ever heard of satire. and no, there are christians on this sight. typical fundamentalist garbage about how we are all doomed. and also, what do they personally got against atheists. is it fact they feel free to stear clear of god. i guess these people hate homosexuals too. if they do, then i prove a point.
.
they say love your fellow neighbor, but i guess it’s ok to say one person is stupid just because they don’t like your god. now that sounds hypocritical.

There are records of a man named jesus who lived and actually did some miracle things and died on a cross…The stories of what happened in Egypt are actually on Egyptian texts, When moses parted the seas and the Egyptians followed him in, there are fragments of egyptian chariots found in the bottom of the sea, along with various egyptian swords, helmets, spears, and hundreds of bones(the Egyptian soldiers)There is proof everywhere…much more than I have written about, I dont claim to know everything about my religion, but I can tell you that you have the wrong opinion of our religion. We’re not like today’s “christian” The normal stereotypical christian lives a fake life and has nothing to do with the religion at all…don’t confuse us with them…I’m not one that will say “oh…your on this website…thats it for you..your goin to hell…thats it” We’re not like that

Sorry again maxy,
.
I’d have a much better time answering your questions if you would use punctuation. For example, when you want someone to answer a question, you would usually use a question mark. It’s that squiggly “l” with a dot under it. It is located at the bottom right of your keyboard, and you can activate it by holding the shift key and pressing “/”. For more information, consult the English department at your school. See how easy that is? (note the use of the question mark – that was just an example – you don’t have to answer. I’ll just assume the answer is yes.)
.
Now, in regards to Francisco Redi, I am not familiar with the gentleman, but if Charles Darwin was not born until 1809, I find it hard to see how some one could have disproved his theory in 1668. Now if we’re talking about the disproval of spontaneous generation, I’m surprised that you’d bring that up. What, that according to Genesis:
.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.” On the first day God creates light and dark, day and night; on the second the “firmament” separating “the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament;” on the third, the waters under the firmament are gathered into one place, and “God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas,” and on the same day God creates “plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth.” On the fourth day God creates the sun, moon and stars, and sets them in the firmament; on the fifth day, fish and birds; and on the sixth, “the beasts of the earth according to their kinds.”
.
Now I may be grasping here, but this account sounds sort of spontaneous, and sort of like something out of nothing.
.
Now for the actual question maxy, If you stand by a source claiming it was scientifically proven that something cannot come from nothing, then how can you claim that God made the entire Earth and everything on it from nothing? (Note the question mark again – this time you can go ahead and answer.)

James I agree. I don’t necessarily believe in a divine figure, but there is proof of the Bible everywhere. I just recently read up on Ancient Egypt and there are written records of plagues on temple and tomb walls. Plagues that were the magnitude written in the Bible. It is true that there were swords and chariots found in the ocean. That isn’t easily argued. There is just cold hard evidence that Biblical accounts are true.

ok, whoever thinks evolution has to do with spontaneous generation is completely misunderstanding the fact of evolution. wtf. i can easily debunk that claim and so could any real scientist. the problem is the people they try to convince will probably say all the evidence is fake. they ask for evidence, we give them solid evidence, yet they reject it completely. and they say that we’re stupid.

The theory of spontaneous generation was disproved by the experiment with the swan neck flask and the chicken broth (no seriously it was). But who is to say life wasn’t put here by a divine creator. Life can only come from pre-exsisting life.

Max,

Good effort. That wasn’t the exact experiment, but it is close enough.
.
What Redi’s experiment demonstrated was that complex life does not spontaneously generate. The experiment in no way proves that at some point in the past, simple life didn’t spontaneously formed.
.
It is an interesting discussion, but keep in mind that the inability to demonstrate spontaneous generation of even simple life does not prove that it cannot occur. Maybe it doesn’t, but maybe we simply don’t know how yet. And remember, over billions of years, and on billions upon billions of planets, it only had to happen once for us to be here. I like those odds.
.
Good effort, but you’re going to have to step your game up a bit.

what people don’t seem to understand is the theory of evolution has nothing to do with the big band. nothing at all. and the proof points towards evolution. why else do you think that it is put in textbooks. if there’s a god, he created evolution. evolution has already been proven. and claims against it are pure arguments from ignorance.

the reason that it is in the text book is because a man made up the theory, a human man. No one can except the fact that a god can write anything, and where is this proof?!?!?

Like I said I don’t believe in a divine creator but it would be ignorant to say he doesn’t exsist. You can’t know for sure. It would also be ignorant to say that he doesn’t exsist. O and I do believe in evolution.
