I don’t specifically hate Christianity. It is the obvious target because it is the majority religion in the US. What I dislike is what religions teach and do. 1) Faith. That there is something sacred about belief without proof or even belief contrary to evidence. 2) Religion cannot be questioned. 3) Indoctrination of children. 4) Religious influence of US public policy that impedes scientific progress (ie. stem cell research). 5) Leading a good life has no value. You must believe in XYZ god or you will suffer eternal punishment.

Having said that. I know many good Christians. I know many good non-Christians. However, if a Christian is going to try and engage me in a discussion of rationality concerning religion, I am not going to lie down. Religion and rationality do not mix.

about the whole Moses-slavery thing, wouldn’t it have been more intelligent to render the Egytians into an extended period of artificial sleep? There would have been no deaths from his oh-so-loving plauges, and the slaves would have easily been able to stck up on enough food and goods to supply them through their desert excursion.
