FSM Money Stamp

dollarwide1.jpg

Nick Jones came up with this FSM money stamp. It covers up “In God We Trust” and replaces it with “In Pasta We Trust”. I like it.

BoingBoing had a post a while ago showing a tiny stamp to strike out the word “God” from paper money:

Which prompted Kim Moser to suggest the following FSM stamp:

Here’s what I want to know: how many people would be interested in a money stamp? We could have them made if there’s enough interest.

    Billy,
    Can I interject on your argument, just to help you see where we’re coming from? Your words (with my interjections):
    .
    “yall r messed up in thuh head tuh think that were bein watched over, protected, and were made by a damn [invisible being] that we invented…”
    .
    See how close our beliefs are?

    @Billy
    …I’ve come to notice that you have called yourself the ages 6, 16, and 14. I’m not quite sure you’re qualified to make these statements when you’re still unsure of your own age

  11. 531 Caped Crusader Dec 8th, 2006 at 1:33 pm

    Billy there is nothing wrong about homosexuality. I share a lot of the same beliefs as OEJ. I happen to believe that homosexuality is directly related to a chemical imbalance in the brain. while you may think that it is a choice to be gay, your wrong. A homosexual can choose whether or not to live the lifestyle, but can never stop being truly gay.

    @OEJ
    I don’t quite remember if I asked you this..or if you answered back…quite frankly, I’m to lazy to scroll up and find out. In that knowledge, What is it about my religion that you dont like? I’m just curious as to your opinion

  15. 535 Trey Dec 8th, 2006 at 1:36 pm

    one eyed jack…no…i mean, yes, what your saying is true…but in a sort of drunken english verion..hittin’ that beer volcano too soon?

    haha…that was a little joke

    but the english language isn’t open for interpretation like that…to be proper, the definition is stating denying the existance of all gods..you can say your an athiest to a certain being…but thats like saying you quit working at mcdonalds when you’ve never worked there.

    Billy,
    .
    I didn’t tell you to drink beer. I said have some Kool-aid.
    .
    And for the record, I don’t think you are for real. Your posts just smack too much of someone putting on an act. Keep at it. Have fun. More power to you.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
