I was just wanting to offer to you all

Hello All!

I was just wanting to offer to you all a couple of books that I believe would be very helpful and insightful, because it seems that not many people taking part in this page have done any REAL research. I am truly not trying to be offensive in any way. I have a lot of compassion for people who have not really delved into the facts deep enough, and so are confused. These books are:

“Answers to Tough Questions: Skeptics ask about the Christian Faith” (By: Josh McDowell and Don Stewart)

(And/Or “Evidence That Demands a Verdict” (By Josh McDowell)

and “Who is This Jesus, Is He Risen?: Examining the Truth About Jesus” (By: D. James Kennedy, Ph.D. with Jerry Newcombe) — which can be gotten from: Coral Ridge Ministries
P.O. Box 40
Fort Lauderdale, Fl
33302

I truly hope, because I really care about each individual, that you all will really read these books…because I know it will be difficult to even pick one of them up due to lack of desire to find the real truth — and maybe even due to fear of finding the real truth (for some people). There have been prominent men who have delved into the research to the greatest extents in order to get all the facts — only to find out who Jesus really is, that he really lived, and that he really rose again — and those men who were determined to tear down the Christian faith ended up developing an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ instead.

What I am saying here, is that these facts definitely make it something to at least seriously look in to. I am not talking about a superficial glance that is guarded by many preconceived notions from the GetGo…I am talking about an actual intellectual LookSee.

In conclusion, may God’s blessing be with each and every one of you…including the misguided “Christians” whom I saw left comments on this page before..I am sure some of you really meant well, but it is not the true way of Christ.

The real important thing is to find out who Christ REALLY is, but if you want to..in the meantime.. check out answersingenesis.org.

Love to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Be warned Davey, they might just take you up on that, and Rabies is a bad way to die…

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Be’li-al? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Thanks Starbuckaneer. We seem to be of the same ilk. I love reading your posts. As for One Crying, is that message to other Christians warning them away from mixing with us? It’s actually one of the more lucid and poetic passages I’ve encountered. I don’t know what to do with it though.

Incomprehensible though it is, I love it.

If I’m a temple of *anything*, I want tax-exempt status right *now*!
    .
I’m not too keen on the idea of anyone “dwelling” in me, though - sounds like a bit too much touching-of-the-unclean-thing going on there, mateys!

Some Pastafarians in my area were caught going door to door diddling kids. When they were reported, they were sent to another district so they could prey some more. Why is there this double standard? If I fondled those boys, I’d be sent straight to the ass-poundery.

Josh, for proof the bible is flawed, read Misquoting Jesus by Bart Ehrman, a born again agnostic, conservative measures estimate differences in the bible to be at around 200,000, not counting sentence structure, variational translations, etc… read it, I used 2 be a christian b4 it. Or for instant proof, read the last chapters of Mark and Luke, and note the differences, then tell me how Jesus was crucified.

    @faghettini
    Dude,
Glance back over your shoulder, you’ll see there was a line back there that it’s not polite to cross.
    Bleuchhh.

You know, I symathise with you Pennigh. I too feel this nagging urge to save people; you want to deliver them from eternal torment in Hell, and I want to deliver them from utter stupidity. And when i say that, i don’t mean i want to stop from worshiping your God or being a Christian. I mean i want you to realise that only a person who was dropped on their head as a child would bother trying to convert anyone who’s religion was started to annoy the kansas school board. I mean, really. I won’t even start in on the fundamental hypocrisy of your claiming to simutaneously follow the way of Christ and beleive that anyone who isn’t a christian will go to hell.
I bet you voted for Bush, didn’t you?

If you Christians weren’t so damn nerdy and BORING, going on about your saviour, trying to convert everyone, maybe you’d get more respect. Seems a little condescending to claim anyone not christian (depending on which Church you are in will determine what rules you follow and they just change as they go along - King Henry VIII anyone - so it’s all very arbitrary, not to mention most “believers” just pick and choose parts of their religion) is a “heathen”. If you ask me, GW Bush is one of the geatest heathens of our time, and he believes God commands his actions.

I truly feel sorry for you religious zealots, what a waste of a life just to come to the end, pass away, and finally enter into nnothingness. All for what? A thousand year old book written in a time people believed the sun and stars orbited the Earth. God is a myth, a story, a means of providing comfort and enforcing order in a time when understanding of the natural world was neglible. There is infinitely more beauty and wonder in the natural world without a God to be struck by nature’s brilliance, and it was not God it was just the passing of time and a fe3w lucky moments in the formation of self-replicating cells that have berought us here.

Be thankful that you are alive to witness it, and stop pandering to an imaginary mythical machinist who takes a personal interest in your life and start living for yourself. Freedom from God and religion is true freedom.

    God + Christians = BORING
Religion + Bible = Permisible HATRED
    Zealotry + Permission = KILLING

At least the FSM provides a form of harmless light relief.

I don’t know if anyone has said this, but do you really think something you can get from a ministry is unbiased?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
