congratulations on changing the world! it’s amazing how religious fanatics can’t see that your religion is just as valid as theirs =P

  2. 22 Allison Sep 22nd, 2006 at 10:32 am

This cracked me up. Soooo funny.

As a Christian, let me say this… I apologize for all the crazy people that have sent hate mail. The things they say are RIDICULOUS and hateful and they are basically giving the rest of us a bad name. I’m sorry they have the worst sense or humor to ever exist and think that by screaming at people they will be heard. God and Christianity are definitely not about what these people make it seem.

To Christian people reading this: stop being complete idiots. Aren’t we supposed to be LOVING people, and being a good example of God’s love? That’s what I thought. Stop misrepresenting Christianity.

From my point of view, FSM is hilarious. Keep on challenging my religion with humor, and I sincerely hope that less obnoxious “Christians” and more loving Christians come into your path for discussion. I love you and God does, too. Thank you!

    Allison

i have just founded the church of wholly insouciants who dont know if god exists but dont care either way but i find it truly terrifying that these christians are allowed out on their own and its interesting the sort of feedback that our new religions are getting;i thought the whole thing was just a bit of fun but i see now that fundamentalism is a very dangerous thing and these loons are playing fro keeps and the next world;sorry about being unable to string a sentence together as i have been done on yahoo answers for the last six months trying to teach the kids to write but all that has happened is that they taught me to write gibberish

george- Gay religions are good, they need religions too. Too bad your religion doesnt care about them. Pity.
Allison, good post. I am happy to hear some Christian actually have common sense.
All the hatemail make my day. When hearing things concerning Pope Sidious, The Inquisition, ID, Jack Chick, Molesting Priests, Knutby, Sargoth-Kuul, Good vs Evil, etc. It is fun to know that most of them are just potheads without pot.

  6. 26 The Scientst Sep 23rd, 2006 at 12:42 pm

I have recently come acroos your site. If you did this to fight intelligent design, that’s cool. If you truly believe there is a god of spaghetti, that is also cool. One thing about america is that people should be able to think frely and come up with their own thoughts and beliefs no matter what they are. As for intelligent design, it is the biggest load of shit ever. It is religion in science’s clothes. I don’t believe that intelligent design should be taught as science. It is not science. Science can be tested and proved false, ID can not be, therefore it is religion. It is simply a way for creationist to get religion into schools. I personally believe in God and evolution. It is possible to believe in both and not be a hypocrite. The Bible is nothing more than a story of a nice guy who preached love for one another ,whats wrong with that?, other than most people who subscribe to religion don’t prctice this. The Bible is just a bunch of parables that should influence how you live and treat others, except for parts of the Bible that are outdated, and can not apply to these times. What most people forget is that the Bible was wriiten by a man a long time ago, Jesus or God did not write the Bible, and on top of that the Bible was translated by King James, another person who could have manipulated to suit his own cause. In conclusion, it is possible to believe in a god and evolution, just not intelligent design. Intelligent design is religion dressed up as scientific fact which it is not!

  7. 27 Jim Scott Sep 24th, 2006 at 1:11 am

I should point out to “The Scientist” that the content of the Bible was NOT written by a man but rather many men over a span of roughly 6,000 years. I imagine that leaves a lot of room for error (not even counting the massive changes introduced by Catholic priests to suit their peculiar slant of events) but somehow the result was a book which, to this very day, affects everyone on the planet in some way or another; without the use of an AK-47 you’ll notice.

And Allison is 100% correct. We are called to love our neighbor as ourself … not everything that idiot next door is doing, mind you … but certainly we are to be concerned with his well-being on a physical, mental and, yes, spiritual level.

  11. 31 John Sep 27th, 2006 at 7:21 pm

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all smell like shit. Do what you want and we will all figure out when we are dead who was right. I dont see the point of spreading the word to save anyone. Most people i meet i’d rather see in hell. mmkay thnx bai :D

  12. 32 John Sep 27th, 2006 at 7:29 pm

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind. - Albert Einstein. Anyone against ID please check your IQ scores against mister Einstein’s then get back to us about it being an ignorant believe. All beliefs require faith with the infinitely limited amount of knowledge supplied to us.

  13. 33 Pineapple Monster Oct 1st, 2006 at 5:56 pm

Excuse me John, but Stephen Hawking is an athiest and he has a higher IQ than albert einstein.
Also, This website is AWESOME!!!! Ive only been on once and ive started posting flyers everywhere!

  14. 34 Pineapple Monster Oct 1st, 2006 at 5:59 pm

Mel, this is a website dedicated against Intelligent Design and we try to do that by making a parody of Christianity and making a religion which is more logical than Christianity but obviously not true. The only thing to do with Pirates is that the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) believes that by bringing back the pirates we will stop global warming

  15. 35 puffaliaz Oct 2nd, 2006 at 2:32 pm

This /is/ now a religion, since some fully and unquestionably believe in it.

Well, the thing I find funny about the Hate Mail, is that there are all these people who are telling you that FSM is wrong, when they can’t prove their own religion themselves. They believe that they are right, simply because they are the majority. I had a good laugh out of the morons who ranted and raved about how “god” will smite thee for defying him. HA! That’s hilarious. For all you Christians out there, you probably don’t even know what your god looks like. For all you know, it could be the Flying Spaghetti Monster. For as you should know, if FSM is something created by man, well, isn’t your “god”? No one has ever seen “god”, and therefore, you cannot determine what it looks like. So, it would be an image of man, as man created this “god” because man could not come up with another explaination at the time about the reason for existance. Well, I think I covered everything I was going to say.

May you all have a nice day, and may FSM be with you.
    ~Jebus

    R O C K E T S C I E N T O L O G I S T S U N I T E !!!

I fully support ones right to believe what they may, at least so long as they don’t try to force unwanted/
unsolicited beliefs on others around them (not taking a shot at His Noodlage here - I actually appreciate the word, lol). I have some difficulty (ok, alot of difficulty) in ID’ers / christians in general for that matter and the crap they spew. So I figure what the hell, if they can do it so can I. So here goes!

So tell me, if “christians” can try to put a scientific spin on religion (ID) then why can’t scientists try to put a religous spin on science?

With this in mind I propose that NASA goes into the BUSINESS of religion. They can “create” an entirely new religion based on scientific fact supported by blind faith and government dollars. I even have the perfect name for this new “religion”. It will be called Rocket Scientology!!

Imagine, throngs of Rocket Scientologists knocking on doors from coast to coast spreading the Word!!! Men, women and children all dressed up in their lab coats (pocket protectors optional) preaching “Reaching For The Stars”!!! Some may even choose to get deep into character for their door to door fund (oops, I mean flock building) drive by taking their level of dress up a notch (try to avoid Hollywood sterotypes, please - leave Lucas and Roddenberry out of it).

Hell, if Russia can get 20 million a pop for simple flights into space imagine what NASA could rake in. What true believer wouldn’t fork over everything he had in order to not only venture into space but to so as a true religious experience!!! I hear Warren Buffett has lots of money to give away - BILLIONS!!

The “Moonies” have nothing on us! This is government sponsored religion folks! Eat your heart out Jerry Farwell. Now all you good folks at NASA - dont go getting your space undies all in a wad. This is something that will actually work to your advantage. Think of the funding potential. In this age of budget cuts (all in the name of fighting terrorism that is) you may very well find unlimited funding by adopting this theologic approach to space exploration.

    LOL - E N J O Y

This hate mail is hilarious. I love the spelling errors…especially the guy who spelled ‘belief’ wrong.

You can count me as a new convert.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
