Secondly, what proof do you have that he’s making any of that up? It’s unlikely, but stranger things have happened. I am both a Biochemist and a Christian, and I found your site funny and shocking.
(1)I do not believe my fellow Christians should worry about this website, because Jesus taught us as Christians to love our neighbors like we love ourselves, so why do you threat this man (Bobby) with hate ~ it is Jesus who is truth and it is he who will judge. FSM is not real.
(2)I feel that science and faith do not conflict each other. It is men who confict with each other. Science makes observations and proves if they are true or not true. Evidence has proven that the earth is not the center of the galaxy like first suggested by the church (men), and that life has evolved, …Darwin’s finches… (Amphibians evolved into Reptiles evolved into Birds) these are not just the “devil’s hoaxes”. The Holy Bible never said that man didn’t evolve from chimpanzes, it says that God created everything in the universe ~ so why didn’t he create space and the components of atoms… and those atoms joined together to form molecules, and those molecules formed together to form cells, and thus life, and that life evolved untill Adam & Eve were created… the universe is so complex and intrinsic, this is not an accident. What about the part in the bible that says man was created in 6 days, and on the 7th God rested? How can this be if Scientists say that from Carbon Dating that the earth is actually billions of years old, and we have evidence of dinosaur fossils. Does it not say in the New Testament that one day of God is not the same as one day to man.

(3) FSM is an propaganda attempt to debacle primarly Intelligent Design which I agree is not science, however FSM does go overboard in targeting Christianity ~ when it should focus on teaching people that ID should not be taught in the class room, as an alternative to evolution.

I agree with your first two points, however, the third point I might be able to help clarify a bit. As far as I can see, the FSM never originally targeted Christainity, but it was soon targeted after Mr. Henderson recieved so much hatemail from the more single-minded ones. And so many of the users insult Christianity because mostly the Christians we see around here think like the man in “Your god is a homo” post. If only there were more mature Christians like you around here, then I think that we would not in general target them so much, if at all.

Um, for the person who wasted all that time putting up all the starting lines for each state should know something. When they wrote the word “god” they meant to emcompass all gods in all religions-not just the Christian God, therefore FSM was mentioned because FSM is the god of the pastafarians.

I am a SSgt in the USMC and it is people’s right to say what they want. I am currently waiting to be deployed for my second tour in Iraq and I find this site refreshing. I know that deep down the people creating this site do not hate me, they simply do not agree the mission I am ordered to undertake. I respect their opinions, despite not standing on the same side of the sand line. It is your right, as Americans, to have opinions and to speak them. Let’s stop being ignorant and distastful and, frankly, childish about the whole “support” / “not support” our troops business. This site is about disagreeing with the topic of religion being taught in schools.
I happen to agree with what these people say on this topic. Intelligent Design is Creationism, regardless of what you call it. If it can be regarded as a science then so should the theory of the FSM. The point being made is this, FSM is as much bullshit as Intelligent Design. But, when religion is pressed into the heads of people from childhood it is very hard to avoid being brainwashed. If you look back in history– recent history–people have done some absolutly atrocious acts simply because it was the social norm… Example: Nazi’s and the Holocaust. Obviously the senseless murder of millions was wrong on every level but when the extremists gain power terrible things can happen.
Allowing one religious idea to be taught, regardless of whatever name you give it, is just the beginning. Intelligent Design is Creationism and it has no place in Public Schools. But, if the ultra idiotic right has its way? Soon that little thing called the constitution will be of little meaning, it might as well be toilet paper.

Well I’m just a crazy Iraqi war vet with a list of dead friends and a scientific approach to my beliefs. Let me help you all understand some of my crazy beliefs.
First of all, not every American military action is in defense of American freedom. More often than not, military actions are peacekeeping or policing actions. So while you should honor the selfless sacrifice made by the brave souls that are willing to put their lives on the line, you need not respect the orders given to them by a person they may or may not have voted for. I do support my troops but I don’t support some of our generals. So let us separate the men and the mission. If anything, you should admire the strength of those who continue on with a mission they think is wrong just because they want to keep their word. Don’t believe me? Check this out:

If Jesus Christ died for my soul, then how come everything I do brings threats of Hell from Christians?
Hell, (no pun intended) if God hates everything I do so much, I don’t want to go to his Heaven anyways.
His ’son’ died for our sins, but if we sin, we are still in trouble.
What if God impregnated Mary so that when everyone found out about it, they would try to kill her, so God would have no worries. Then Jesus was born, and he didn’t die for our sins, but because God wanted us to think that; he was really trying to get an illicit son off of his hands.
